I’m in. I’ve gone completely out of control! I can’t believe I keep doing this to myself.

Goal this round 180.0 looking for -5.8 this round.
It’s a big goal but my body is just so so so bloated that I think I’ll drop a few pounds easy as long as I push the water. If I can make this happen this round I will make more reasonable goals in the future rounds.
7/27 - 185.8

7/31 - 180.0. (-5.8 total so far) I know it’s just water weight coming off but it’s a good motivator anyway!
8/1 - 178.6 (-7.2 total so far) shocked at the weigh in this morning. I thought I would have a gain as I had a love fest (or feast) with half a package of S’more wafer cookies. I did run just over 3 miles in this Texas heat after work yesterday so who knows. Our bodies are funny things that react in ways we don’t expect at times.

I'm late but I'm in! I did a round at the beginning of July but have been on holiday since. Holidays ended yesterday and I have to get back on track starting today. I swam pretty much every day while away but ate and drank way to much, so I managed to gain a few pounds

7/30 184.4 it's hard to not fall back into old eating habits on a road trip, this was a quick roadtrip and I did horrible I have to start all over again. My goal to end this week 181.
7/31 184.0 ok so I said I was going to start off this week good, but first I didnt do my morning workout then I ate half of my calories at Starbucks this morning, I surpassed my calories for the day, but at least I worked out. Tomorrow's a new day it will be better
8/1 182.8 nice, let's not scare it away...I ate over my calories but I at least worked out in the afternoon, although I really didnt want too, I pretty much half assed it but now I'm glad I did it. Ok so now I need to loose one more pound by Friday I can do this...I realized I have to start working out a little more, if I want to get to my goal. Morning abs night cardio.

Culprit: two salty meals? Many more steps?? More sleep! Not going to worry about it. Still...it is disconcerting when I was so active & brought my food, weighed food, etc, tracked all. I see why folks have a 5-lb maintenance window.

7/27 - 183.6 - Had poor eating day yesterday, managed to stay within goal but barely. My daughter had been in an accident, she is OK but being her Mama I had to go to the hospital and see it with my own eyes to believe her.
7/28 - 184.0 - another unexpected task added on at suopertime. Ended up eating McDonald’s for supper. Still in calorie goal but not part of my plans.
7/29 - 185.2 - Went for a date night on Saturday our first in a long time, so fully enjoyed it. Stayed in maintenance but lots of carbs and sodium

7/26- went for radiation, cut the lawn( big property), took grandchildren to the park, worked out on treadmill, rest.
7/27-walked, yoga, Completed week 5 radiation. I have a health update when I see the doctor All 5 weeks perfect!
7/28- Did not have a good night sleep last night, I hour, 20 mins during the day.( steroids, one more week and then we can start to cut them back, they are making me super hungry, walking helps.
7/29 Had a great day, slept last night, did a lot of walking 112mins. Goal for next week watching my food portions. Steroids are making it really hard for me, one more week and then I can start to cut them in half.
7/30- Had a great day for walking steps. Went for radiation#6 left, and I had to go to the hospital for EEG to test brain for seizures, but I doubt it because I feel fine. I did to much today.
7/31-I feel fantastic, not one symptom since I started radiation completed 25 treatments, down to the last 5, doctors said I would lose my hair after week 2 or 3 -that did not happen. I think because I drink so much water and when I wake up everyday I have an organic bread with avocado. I have been out walking at least 12,000 steps. I am very fortune.
8/1 Only a couple hours sleep last night. Made my meals for tomorrow. Went walking. Since the weekend my steps have been up. 4 more treatments for Radiation. I can't believe it.

Looking for a general downward trend. Really focused on my logging, and on clean eating, and MOVING more - which is what I love - it gives me ENERGY!
I am SO SO determined!! I 100% NEED to stay mindful about my daily logging and being mindful about what I eat and drink. I need to get into the HEALTHY BMI band.
This is a long term thing, a few bad days or weeks is something I'm getting better at coping with.

I am staying under my calorie goal but am staying closer to it, I am doing slightly better with water intake, However with a night meeting and after work appointment I ate out a bit more than I like. 27/07: 168.2 : Goals ✅ Spent hours working in the garden yesterday.
28/07: 167.9 : Goals ✅ Trying to tame my jungle of a garden. Also had a late evening walk.
29/07: 167.8 : Goals ✅ posting this late today. Sundays always seem to lead to a little upward bounce. I visit family and Hubster produced a delicious roast beef dinner tonight. Still under goal, and drinking lots of water, but past expectation leads me to expect the worst tomorrow morning.
30/07: 168.1 : Goals ✅ mostly! Lol! A glass of sherry and wine with Sunday dinner and not enough water!
31/07: 168.2 : Goals ✅ Still bouncing up after the weekend.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!
