7/28 88.5kg (-0.0kg) boring.....
7/29 88.2kg (-0.3kg) walked 15.000 steps started my kettlebell workout from the beginning again with a heavier weight. Instead of 8kg (+/- 17lbs), I'm swinging 12kg (+/- 26lbs) now
7/30 88.4kg (+0.2kg) Didn't move a lot, visited friends, had dinner that I couldn't count kcal for. Hope for a downwards trend the rest of this round!!

7/28 - 253.2 ate popcorn at the movies yesterday, then a late dinner. Too much sodium! Chug water.
7/29 - 254.4 didn’t eat well yesterday, too many carbs, also helped son move out of his apartment so when muscles hurt, I hold on to fluids. Water and get some vegetables in today.
7/30 - 251.4 whew! I’m glad it didn’t take long for me to shake my salty weekend (ha! I’m so punny!). Plus, I 💩 out all the bad stuff - I know, TMI.

7/27: 69.5 - Really?! REALLY?! I've been gunning for 69.5 for the last two rounds and you wait until the day that I've decided to up my round goal weight to something definitely achievable (with current trends) to dump this one on me. I know I shouldn't be annoyed by a lower number, but I'm pretty sure my body is just trolling me on this one. Anyway: Yesterday was a really good day, started off looking like it was only going to be an okay day, but then I wasn't very hungry at breakfast and saved half for later, meaning I wasn't as hungry for lunch and didn't eat it all, meant I gained about 150kcals more in the bank than I expected. A yummy (and surprisingly low calorie) spag bol and pasta for dinner still left me under calories, so I had some watermelon and icecream for dessert (YUM!) And was still under daily goal. 76g of protein for the day
7/28: 69.9 - TOM has reared it's ugly head proving, once again, that my body doesn't run in nice even patterns. However, does help account for my super massive cravings last round that were doing their very best to try and mess me up (and those consistent days of 70.5). Anyhoos: happy to be staying under 70kg again. Yesterday was pretty good right up until evening. I had a reasonably stressful day at work so I think I did well to not binge on all the chocolate that I really wanted to during the day (heck I even had a slice of watermelon as a snack instead). Then we went and looked at puppies, and got pie and chips on the way home. Which put me over calories. But not over maintenance. Then my partner put more chips in the oven and did far too much for him so I ate some more because food waste. Pushing me to about maintenance. Not great but not awful day... 56g of protein for the day.
7/29: 69.5 - Lots of Judo and wasn't at all hungry most of the day. Barely ate up to my normal goal, let alone any of my exercise calories. Saving them for Sunday. 73g of protein for the day
7/30: 69.6 - Went out for what was supposed to be a pub lunch, and turned into a Indian lunch (pub wasn't doing food). Made sensible food choices and avoided the enormous naan bread and just went with rice, curry and onion bhaji. Stopped eating when I felt full. Ate tea at my parents, and was really not very hungry so got away with eating only a very small amount (and a reasonable amount of that was salad). However still had to guesstimate on the entries/quantities in the diary for almost all of the food today. I think I over estimated, but it's hard to guess. Calories were well over goal, but considering the exercise calories I hadn't eaten from the day before, it probably worked out about level. Also, with some calculation: my 7 day average is now officially under 70kg (69.9, still counts!) 102g of protein for the day.
7/31: 69.6 - More Judo death yesterday. Trained super hard and felt really good on it. Actually ate back some of my exercise calories yesterday which had everything to do with the fact that we had welsh cakes in the cupboard (I just love welsh cakes). Still in deficit. 87g of protein for the day.
8/01: 69.3 - I have not been expecting this kind of progress this round, but don't get me wrong, I'm very much enjoying it. Will probably rise a little tomorrow, but I'm able to dream that I might be able to reach 68.x by the end of this round. Unlikely, but a novel concept. Felt hungry all day yesterday and am very glad I stayed under my allotted calories. Planned my dinner around the fact that I wanted to eat a cake for dessert. Not a very good day at all for protein though. 45g of protein for the day. A really very good day for non scale victories yesterday as well: While surfing the sale rack I found the same pair of jeans I'm currently wearing (and am feeling a little big on me right now), but in the size down. Not only was I able to actually put them on and button them up. They actually looked good. They were probably a little small if I was to have bought them now, but oh so very close to fitting perfectly. Another one: I tried on my motorbike trousers for the first time in about 2 months. They were definitely a bit big for me (I now need braces to stop them from falling down). However, the biggest thing about that is that when I bought them, way back in February, I had to take out the extra little bit of padding that sat on the hips, as they dug into my sides when I was straddling the bike. And they were literally the only trousers that actually fit me at all comfortably, so that was the compromise I had to make. I put them back in yesterday. Because I could spread my legs easily without them pulling and being uncomfortable.
8/02: 69.3 - Uuuuuuuuh, yesterday was tough. I have been so very hungry. Went over my allowance, but only just, still under maintenance, so still winning. Did not drink enough water all day, so was super thirsty this morning. I kinda glad the number hasn't moved, because I don't know how I'd feel it going either way. I bought some skyr yogurt on tuesday, which seems to be doing a really good job at upping my protein amount without thinking about it. Also I've remembered that tuna is a really good way of adding protein for low numbers of calories. 88g of protein for the day.
8/03: 69.3 - Again. Not a very good day at all yesterday. Over calories, and drank some booze. Surprised its not gone higher tbh. Actually I'm more surprised that I've managed to keep exactly the same for the last 3 days. This doesn't normally happen to me, I normally massively fluctuate. Oh well. Means that I am definitely this weight as opposed to it fluctuating down like I expected when I first hit this number.

Round 47 EW: 73kg
*Non-digital scales*
7/27 73kg - today is too hot to exercise!
7/28 72.5kg, the needle is definitely in the middle between 70-75 today! Also change of plan and I can go for my run today. The food might still happen, but at least not all day as originally planned
7/29 no scale, the foodie weekend did happen afterall
7/30 74.5kg and i only have myself to blame. I need to stop making excuses every weekend. I want this, so I must make the necessary changes
7/31 73.5kg alright, good day yesterday within cals+half exercise cals and running. Let's keep this up
8/01 72.5kg, yes! Another good day, stayed withon cals, only ate back half my walking cals. Went to a boxing class, which I didn't log, because it was too late to eat afterwards anyway
8/02 72.5kg, i thinks it"s pretty close to 72, but I don't want to call it just yet. Also I have two nights with drinks ahead of me, which might mess this up a gain. I will be mindful and not go crazy.
Maybe it is time for digital scales again?
8/03 72kg YES! The needle is moving the right way! I did drink yesterday, but stuck to the drinks I planned for, didn't get any bar food or eat when I got home, so all round great success. It did mean no run today as I was in bed too late, but i'll make up for it tomorrow. Just gotta do the same thing tonight when going out again.12 -

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

SW (Max weight): 95 kg (209.4 lbs)
GW: 65 kg (143 lbs)
7/27 85 kg (187.3 lbs)
Gained so much weight, I'm upset but still motivated. I woke up early (6.00 am) and walked 3.1 km (4300 steps). The breakfast was good I hope the rest of the day will be good too. Cannot wait to see lower weights...
7/28 84.6 kg (186.5 lbs)
I feel really motivated and strong. I bought a smoothie blender. I'll make healthy and nutritious smoothies rather than junk food anymore. And also yesterday I didn't drink alcohol even I went to a bar. Moreover, I walked 10.2 km I'm feeling good.
7/29 84.3 kg (185.8 lbs)
Going well... Yesterday I made two delicious smoothies, one of them is kinda desert (banana, soy milk, almonds and nuts and chia seeds, you should try!). I took a little more calories however, I walked 5 km (12000 steps), so the calorie intake was ok.
7/30 84.3 kg (185.8 lbs)
Everything is going well. Yesterday I walked 13400 steps and ate well. I still don't drink alcohol and I'm feeling good about it.
7/31 83.9 kg (184.9 lbs)
This is so fast but I know this is my first week, it's all about that... Yesterday I ate a little more and walked about 8000 steps. But it's ok.
8/01 83.6 kg (184.3 lbs)
After the 6 days, I ate a little dessert. Socializing really makes diet harder. When I go out with someone, I cannot be strict about my diet. However, I walked 15000 steps.
8/02 84 kg (185.1 lbs)
OK... Yesterday I was very stressed and so overate. And also I couldn't sleep, I have a sleep problem because of depression but yesterday I became obsessed with some horrible possibilities and it was worse. Very bad day, I hope today will be better. I'm emotionally unstable, so it is always hard for me to control my diet. I need some stability in my life.
8/03 84.2 kg (185.6 lbs)
Another bad day. I hadn't drunk alcohol for 8 days, but yesterday I drank 2 drinks. It's not very bad actually I didn't stop drinking permanently but there's no necessary to drink. But my friends were drinking so I joined them... At least I walked 9700 steps.

7/29 - 179.0 (+0.2) Maybe this is because of all the salt I have been eating to survive this heat 🤭

8/02 - 179.6 (-0.7) Continue please 😂
8/03 - 180.1 (+0.5) Lol, weighed myself about 3-4 hours earlier than I usually do.. when I do that I tend to see a bigger number🤭 I ate my last meal 6 hours before I weighed in. I had only eaten 900kcal when I was going to bed, so I made a late night supper and got to 1170kcal. I’m not going to have access to a scale for the next two-three days. But i’ll have access to my food scale ofcourse, and that’s whats important 😊 Can report in anyway.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/27 - 158.5 - I was going to gripe about being this weight for almost 8 days straight, especially since I've stayed real close to my weight loss calories. Then I realized because of our out of town visitors, I've had food that is higher in sodium, I haven't been walking as much, and water has not been my drink of choice. We've got one last barbecue planned for this weekend and then they'll leave on Sunday. I need to enjoy this weekend and not worry about what the scale says. Last week, before they came, I was hoping to maintain and I need to be happy that I did.
7/28 - 159.5
7/29 - 161 - Well, 158.5 looks pretty good right now! I had a little of everything at our picnic yesterday and several drinks, so this is no surprise. I have figured out that exactly 11 years ago I had dieted to 157 lbs. I hit a plateau and stopped counting calories and tracking my weight. This time will be different. I don't regret the overindulgence yesterday, since this time I'm not going to let it derail me. (And we had so much fun!)
7/30 - 160 - Slowly getting rid of the weekend indulgences.
7/31 - 160 - Patience, patience.
8/01 - 159 - I'm almost there!
8/02 - 158.5 - I can't believe I'm happy to see this number again. I'm really going to try to drop a half pound over the next few days to end this round with a loss. I've been having issues with vertigo (BPPV, I think) the past few weeks which has kept me from doing some of my calorie burning activities. I had this issue a few years ago, but I don't remember it lasting this long.
8/03 - 158.5 - The scale bounced around this morning, but it finally landed here, so I'm taking it. It is pretty amazing how I can go over TDEE calories for one day and my body wants to hold on to the weight. This does not bode well for next weekend when my husband and I go to Amish country for our anniversary. Oh well, as many people in this challenge have said, this is not a race.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/27 - 221.2 - Went out with an old friend and only had one beer. Passed on the charcuterie plate that I wanted bad, but those are the make or break moments.
7/28- 220.2 - Had 600 calories of pizza last night with 2 glasses of red wine, just ate lightly rest of the day and stayed within 1550 calories. Some foods are out of the question though since the calorie/enjoyment trade off is low. See ya' soda and muffins.
7/29 - 220.6 - Ate out last night, very hard to count calories at restaurants. I went overboard on some kind of oily garlic bread. Then got more of the same bread with entree, didn't know it was coming. Still not a bad day.
7/30 -219.6.6 - Out of the 220's two days short of goal. Next plan is to be out of 210s by Sept 1st for a vacation. Doable, but almost no room for error.
7/31- 218.8 - Bad cereal and milk seems to be my biggest trigger food - by far the worst hunger that I offset with a salad. I wish it wasn't in the house but my wife eats it.
8/1- 217.8 - I got a new scale because the old one was +/- .8. New scale seems to be a pound less than the old one hence the big drop.
8/2- 218.8 - First bad day. I think, I hope, that the reason for the bad day was I ate almost no protein until dinner. I've had very few real urges to overeat, but yesterday I felt extremely hungry and lethargic all afternoon and didn't eat well because of it. Lesson learned, time to move on.
8/3 - 218.0 - Had two ground chicken tacos last night with tiny portion of mexican rice. Still lost weight. Amazing how I can still have this, pizza, steak and still lose weight as long as I stick to my calories.

7/30 - 257....no exercise and not great eating yesterday...still off schedule with the 4 1/2 hrs time difference. I did drink quite a bit of water though, which is why I think I have a little loss today.
7/31 - 257...not a good day yesterday so I'm happy to not see a gain..yet.
8/01 - 258...another bad day of eating too much and no exercise. My routines are completely off, I'm not able to sleep at night and I can't seem to get back on track. I know I want and need to but I just can't seem to get it done
8/02 - 257
8/03 - 257...yesterday wasn't great again but it's my last day of excuses. I have an appointment later today to join a gym to get my booty back in gear!

Day/Weight/Comment
•7/27 - 189.2 - Early weigh in. This end of round drop and beginning round overnight gain of ONE pound seems to be my trend. I'm officially in the overweight BMI category. Kind of a weird eating day for me yesterday. Went to help my niece again, but was rushed, so I threw some random food items into my lunchbag. None of my plans for the day were achieved. 35g carbs, 26g net carbs. Lettuce, grape tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, strawberries, cottage cheese, peanut butter
•7/28 - 187.8 - Okay, I know, I'm supposed to be dialing down the carbs, but I have 4 more days left and fried chicken and fresh peach sounded delicious. 63g carbs, 55g Net carbs. Seasoned coating for chicken, green beans, broccoli slaw, poppyseed dressing, 1/2 medium fresh peach, peanut butter, of course
•7/29 - 188.2 - Early weigh in. 57g carbs, 51g net carbs. Salad greens, 1/2 medium fresh peach, strawberries, cottage cheese, seasoned coating for chicken, peanut butter
•7/30 - 188.2 - 50g carbs, 37g net carbs. Green beans, peanuts, peanut butter, seasoned coating for chicken.
•7/31 - 187.8 - Well I lied, today will be my last day of higher carb fruits. I still have one peach to eat. Looking back over the month, I did well except for two extremely high carb days that involved bread and sugar aka sugar and sugar? 45g carbs, 39g net carbs. Seasoned coating for chicken (So long fried chicken! I won't miss you.) salad greens, spinach, fresh plum, lime juice.
•8/1 -186.8 - Early weigh in. It's unbelievable that its August already! Yesterday was my last day of increased carbohydrates. 46g carbs, 35g net carbs. Broccoli, salad greens, sunflower seeds, fresh peach. I didn't eat anything that I had planned until 5:30 pm. My niece held me up briefly in the a.m. from running my errands. She asked me to watch her children for a short time and I did. I wasn't hungry until after I left the house, about 1 p.m. Bought some sunflower seeds to stave off my hunger for a couple of hours. Didn't drink enough water throughout the day. Changed up my planned meals a bit, because my eating time was shortened. *My third day back to intermittent fasting. Took a month off.* Made a semi chef's salad, forgot to boil eggs. ? Felt stuffed after eating, but specifically after eating that peach. BUT, no more fresh peaches until next summer, so it's all good. I hope to keep carbs under 20- 25 grams today.
•8/2 - 185.2 - 21g carbs (18g carbs), 17g net carbs (14g net carbs) Ugh, I had my carbs perfect! 18 grams total and messed it up with lime juice. I NEEDED that lime in my water though. My mouth was so dry and I needed flavor. Otherwise, a good day. Macros WERE on point before my little green monster. Changed my nutrition goals, calories dropped by 20.
•8/3 -187 - Early weigh in. Ooo boy! The fluid retention is crazy this morning. My legs feel so heavy. 25g carbs, 22g net carbs, so doing okay.
In my mind I'm ready right now to get back to my normal level of exercise, but I'm not, too many injuries. Gotta take it slow. I've also been wanting to get outside and take care of my overgrown shrubbery. I got started yesterday. It's been so much rain, the gentleman that cuts my lawn has not done so since June 28! It's been so long that I asked him if I had missed a cut. More rain and storms today, so I'm going out to chop on these shrubs again before it starts.

7/27 185.4 - ready for a woosh - anytime now please. Dug out my fitbit and started using it again. Will try to improve my steps and my NEAT
7/28 184.8 - lots of walking yesterday! 18K steps and feeling great!
7/29 183.8 woosh!!
7/30 184.2 that's ok a woosh is usually follow by a bounce. Today is World Embroidery Day. Yesterday I finished a big project. I always delay finishing - I don't know why I get nervous about it, because I am usually pretty happy with them when they are done. Anyway I ate more because I was anxious, but also went on a 5k walk to balance it all out.
7/31 185.4 Not sure why - hopefully just a blip - I won't panic . . .yet
8/01 184 That's better!
8/02 183.8 another good walking day yesterday!

Day/Weight/Comment
7/27- 114.8 Motivated to reach my goal this round. So helpful to have this board to keep me accountable and have support.
7/28-116 let myself get too hungry and ate a bunch of salty foods .
7/29- 117 ugh! Another day in the wrong direction. I am definitely going to get on it today and stick to my calorie goals.
7/30-116
7/31-116 the scale won’t move 😢. This is the point where I usually give up, but I can’t let that happen this time.

7/27 last night I caved. I had a double plate of dinner and a chocolate bar...or 2. I didn't exercise at all and only drank 1 liter of water. I havent been this hungry in over two weeks. What I'm trying to say is I was too scared to weigh myself this morning so I didn't. I know I should have, just to hold my self accountable but I chickened out. Well I'm jumping back in today and going to work hard to try to get whatever weight I gained yesterday off. I have noticed a 1 day a week trend where I derail, I will have to work on that, at least until I drop a good amount of weight and then I will probably reconsider the "cheat meal" idea.
7/28 --170.8 so back to my starting weight. Worked out hard yesterday and got in 1.5 liters of water. I'm impressed because my workouts are getting easier and easier from when I started...so happy about that. Last night my fiancee grabbed chips and cookies but I managed to stay away...personal win. I already feel like it's going to be a tempting weekend so I'm going to have to be extra mindful and keep up my determination. I'm also impressed because my man has been playing Pokemon go lately which means he likes to go for walks now (he hates going out and walking, grocery shopping can be a drag with him) so i have been going out and walking around more then usual..which is a plus hope everyone has a great and mindful weekend
7/29 --171 last night had a day/night out with friends, pizza and beers. Tried not to over eat or drink but it obviously still hit me. No exercising and low on the water, it's ok though could have gained more
7/30--170.6 stayed within my calorie goal and although didn't do my usual workout, I did spend the majority of my day out and about walking around so at least it's something. Drank 1.5 liters of water. Trying to stay motivated, I have been working out relentlessly for about three weeks now (slowing down within the last couple of days) and I just assumed I would have seen a higher loss by now. My eating habits have been good and my water intake has been fair. Trying to keep my head up though and push on. Hopefully after today I will finally see those 160s. I can't wait to see some sort of progress
7/31--170 slow and steady is my pace. Ate within calories, worked out and finally pushed the 2 liters of water. Mentally feeling better today so that's good. Just feeling a little bloated, why? I have no clue lol. I am so anxious to be in those 60s lol
8/01-- 168.8 Wooooooooot!!! Had to check three times lol. I exercised good yesterday, ate under my calories and 1.7 liters of water. I hope this sticks and isn't one of those weigh ins that only lasts for the day. Mind you I feel good about it because I slowly got here.... so happy!!! Another plus, slept good last night and I don't feel bloated anymore.
8/02-- 169.2 was good all day but then my hubby decided to break out the chips. I had a bit of extra calories and decided to stay within the 20 chip limit..... not to self: this never works, it was as if the minute I started eating them I just wanted more and more shhhhhheeeesh. I also had a laze day with the exercising, even walked very little. This round hasn't been my best with exercising but I am not planning to make this a habit. I am absolutely determined to keep going. well back to it then
8/03 168.6 it's as if I'm on a weight roller coaster. Well this is good regardless, I am so happy settling here in my 60s and continuing my downhill trend. Ate within my calories although I could have had more veggies, drank 1.7 liters of water and exercised. It was a good day overall so I am happy. Now for that last .6 to meet my challenge goal... it will be the first time
