I've spent the summer building a Thor Ragnarok cosplay for myself. I've promised myself I will it be a chubby Thor! My event is August 31 and mymotivation all summer has been to be a Sexy Thor!! I'm down 22 pounds and still 20 days left!!!
Cosplay info: I have uv sensitive contacts in and installed black light LEDs into the helmet. So when I turn on the blacklights my eyes light up like lightning. Also installed mini flashing lights throughout the entire cosplay.
Can't wait for sexy Thor!!!!23 -

I love this! You're awesome and you will be sexy either way!4 -
My reason is I am depressed, wife has cheated and I don't have the heart to kick my children's mother out of the house nor do I wish the kids to be out of my life. She doesn't want to work things out, I have hit rock bottom, been there for some time now and ready to pick myself up. Been down this fitness path a few times and never really stuck it out, this time is different. I WILL ACCOMPLISH MY GOALS!67

Aside from being healthier, I want to be able to wear cuter clothes!! Next summer, I’m wearing shorts and tank tops, dammit!! 😂5

I want to be able to go shopping for jeans and not hate my thighs. I'm only slightly overweight but my thighs have been a deep insecurity for a long time and I just... want to be able to feel good in whatever I'm wearing without my weight getting in the way.13

My petty reason is so I can cut my hair to my shoulders. I don’t think shorter will look good on me until I’m thinner. It’s stupid but yeah that’s my pettiness.8

Besides being healthy and (fitting into rides) I just want to wear cute clothes and talk to cute bois without feeling like the fat ugly girl7

Perception is everything, I felt my hair at shoulder length made me look thinner. I had an angled bob, shorter in the back and longer down to the front. Unfortunately my hubby really doesn't like me in short hair so I have let it grow out again. One day I will have short hair again.3 -

That's a pretty big reason. Not really petty. *hug*6 -

I'm in my late 20 and people assume I'm pregnant all the time because of the way I carry my weight.
I'm going to a wedding in late September and a few people there have asked be repeatedly over the past year when I was due.
I want to look amazing and feel comfortable dancing my *kitten* off.10 -
I want to easily buy clothing and not pay extra for more fabric when I have customized clothes made. I want to be able to easily play with my children. I look older with more weight, and I want to look my age or younger. I don't want to listen to anymore doctors who assume that I'm lazy and stubborn because of my weight. I don't want to have a "obese" BMI anymore. I want people that I haven't seen in a while to look at me positively. I want to show that I have the ability and will power to stick to my personal goals. Also, I want to not be bigger than my sister9

Wow! I'm a vet's wife and I had no idea about that. One more reason for me to hit a healthy BMI. Good luck to you in your efforts!1 -
I'm getting married next year and thought thought of dress shopping makes me cry on que9

I absolutely refuse to put a photo of myself on my Instagram account unless I am at goal weight. I know that my ex is stalking my girlfriend's Instagram, where there are photos of me with my man-boobs and big belly. I want her to see see me at goal weight on my own Instagram.9

When I look around my workplace and see all the people who are morbidly obese and can barely walk. There's one woman who can't walk, she rolls around the place on one of those rolling walkers with a seat and it makes me sad. I don't want to end up like that!14

I want to be the hot wife at my husband's work functions, and among his group of guy friends.9

To prove someone wrong and in doing so prove to myself that I can & deserve the positive change(s).

@ClassicallySteph
I'm about to turn 42. Interestingly enough, the older I get, the easier it is. Maybe it's because as I mature I know longer care about what other people think when I bust my phone out to log my meals, or that I am in charge of the groceries and cooking - (dinner is what I make, eat or starve).9 -
I have so many petty reasons. 1) My husband is super in shape and spends hours everyday at the gym. I don't want to be the fat wife. 2) My 20 year reunion is coming up and I don't want to be one of the people that "let herself go." 3) I want to wear a swimsuit at the beach instead of a baggy t-shirt to hide under.9

I want a tiny waist and big butt. Yes, it's petty. But confidence is an incredible thing.5

At that point, maybe she'll straighten up, or I might finally start over and be able to find a woman that both fully loves me, and is faithful for once.
I don't think its a petty reason at all, and JMO, but I think you should go for faithful, ...you deserve it.8 -
I don't want to be a fat teacher anymore. Kids are so cruel.
I want my boyfriend's friends to be jealous.
I want to shop at a store and not have to immediately shove my arm to the back of the rack for the largest size, 2x, 3x. Or find that my size ain't there at all. 🙄6 -
I liked the looks I used to get when I walked into a room
I don't get those now
BUT I WILL9 -
After putting on a lot of weight after having my second child and getting really quite big I joined a diet and exercise class and lost 3 stone. I was pretty close to my preferred weight and can remember turning up to a session in workout top and leggings and a lady came up to me and said 'You are so lucky to have your figure, I would love to look like that'. To be honest, I was a bit embarrassed but after having worked at losing the weight I can clearly remember the glow it gave me. Sadly, that class folded, I ended up with very bad hip pain and lost my motivation. Although I knew how to control my weight I didn't and over the following 10 years I gained and lost the same 20 lbs every couple of years. Now, apart from all the good health reasons that motivate me - I sure want to feel that glow again! And this time - I WILL get to my happy weight and stay there!8
-
Not necessarily petty but I don't want to look like my mother and aunties. I love them all and admire them but all the women in my family are overweight. I want to break the mold and be healthy. Plus, my best friend has lost 70 pounds over the last year. She has done amazing. I have gone in the opposite direction after a series of surgeries. But...she refuses to do any lifting because she only wants to "tone" - her words, not mine. She is unhappy with the way her body looks despite the lost weight. I want to be an example of how muscle can be attractive, not bulky. I don't want to throw it in her face or anything but maybe if she sees that lifting doesn't turn you into Arnold, she might give it a try.11

I want all these jerks from high school to be like "wow she looks awesome" at my 20 year reunion next summer!5

'Cause I LOVE those sour glares from bitter mom-hags as I rock a skanky bikini at the beach or pool with a kid on each hip. Not even sorry.22
