Thanks @katharmonic and @amymoreorless ! I felt better after I got out for a run, so maybe part of it was also the few days off I'd had and my body slipped back into slug mode.
I take methylated vitamin B12 daily. I'm out of spatone iron water (will order some asap. A rat ate it). I'll have bloodwork done in October through work. November with PCP.
None of my blood work numbers, thus far haven't been of any concern with the exception of my D3 levels that my hip surgeon wanted me to improve, from 35ng/ml to ~45 (above 20 is acceptable).3 -

@Elise4270 I definitely think it’s the heat. I keep reminding myself how wonderful it’s going to be to run in chilly weather again and how much faster I’ll be with all this extra blood pumping through my system!

My baby girl passed away this morning. My 12 miles tomorrow will be hard. My baby boy realized what happened and went and laid in her favorite spot
I've been crying off and on since she passed this morning. I had to take my albuterol after I saw her take her last breath.29 -
Haha! Oh me and wheat are not the best of friends. I'm probably just intolerant enough to be slightly inconvenienced hence I continue to eat it once in a while.
AF also decided to show up. Yay! 😑 Ben and Jerry's was lookin' pretty good today with the low energy.
But I ran into my retired dentist whose a marathoner (Boston and New York every year) and dang that inspired me to embrace the suck of training. 🤗2 -

I've lost a few over the years. They still visit my dreams and I know they are giving me the opportunity to let me love them just a little bit more. I'm sure she's happy you loved her.3 -

8/1: impromptu rest day (3 miles were planned)
8/2: 3.15 miles (6 miles were planned, but heat was too awful)
8/3: 7 miles (new distance best!, 3 were planned, but kept going)
8/4: planned rest
8/5: 2 miles (planned rest, back on target for the month)
8/6: elliptical and upper body weights
8/7: 8 miles (5.5 planned, but just rolled with the energy, new distance best!)
8/8: 5 miles speedwork and lower body weights
8/9: 4 miles (oh so painful legs!)
8/10: elliptical, back, abs
8/11: 7 miles

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement. I know I am being hard on myself and am probably better prepared than I think at this point.
I will have a couple more long runs before Wineglass. I really would like to get to at least 20, since the furthest I have gone was the 18.75 a couple of weeks ago, but I will just do my best and try to mentally get into a better headspace overall.6 -

Thanks @BruinsGal_91, I will seriously consider it, depending how can I schedule around my long run (or incorporate it). Oh, and I'll also be back to Boston in November so maybe at least one of those will work!2 -

gonna need to increase my mileage to make it but as long as I get over 100 i'll call it a win.7 -

I am sorry for your loss. I lost my lab just before Easter and threw myself into fitness to keep busy

I think my legs felt more sore from standing around so much yesterday than they did from running the half this week. Or maybe it was the combo. So this run started off a bit stiff but ended up feeling pretty good. I needed to stretch my legs a bit. I'm going out to walk the dog in a bit to continue that, and take advantage of the weather before it starts raining this afternoon (and continues all week maybe).

Was on the verge of raining the whole 102 minutes I was out there.... so 99% humidity. Had to stop and walk for a minute after mile 10, then thought I could do at least 13. But at 11 I was done. Felt like puking. Feet were squishy with sweat. When I took my socks off, they toes were all pruney.
But enough negativity. On the bright side got in 11 miles, and at 50% of monthly goal.

I have a friend who was trying to get in her last long run of marathon training this morning. She had someone to run with from 4-5 am so I told her I would take the second shift and finish it out with her. I thought I was getting the better deal starting later, until the downpour started. I normally like running in the rain but it was exceptionally soggy. We got the miles done despite the weather.
August goal miles = 175 / 83 miles-to-date

I got up and tried to get out this morning. I only made it around the block. I'm taking an extra rest day and won't be able to make up the miles but that's ok. My hamstring is also sore, like overuse - not pain, so my body may need some rest along with my brain.
Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts and hugs. The hardest part is watching our other dog. He's always had her around and despite being an independent doggo I think he will be lonely. He's been extra whiny and clingy when he realized she wasn't here and isn't coming back.11
