9/05 - 145. Hanging steady, and I think I saw the needle nudging toward 144. Made time to be active yesterday and it felt so good! I picked up a midday snack yesterday that turned out to be 780 calories! It was printed right on the bag, but I didn't read it until after I ate. Oops. A light dinner and exercise helped balance the day.

9/05 - 154 - The scale actually flashed at 154.5, then it went to 153.5 three times, so I went with an average. I realized after I posted yesterday that I started this challenge 120 days ago. I've lost 20 pounds since starting this challenge and received a lot of good advice from reading comments. I don't know if I would have stuck with this weight loss without all the support and empathy from this group. Thank you to all!

Round 51 +1.8
Plan for the next 10 days:
*write daily food plan the evening before
*drink 64+ oz water daily
*limit alcohol to 2x per week
Goal this round: <184 (I'm thinking some of this starting number is due to just starting back at the gym, so the goal doesn't seem too excessive for 10 days.)
Day/Weight/Comment
9/05 187.5 food is planned for today, almost half way through my water. feeling down on myself this morning due to the high scale number but gotta embrace reality, own it, and change it.

9/05 - 180.8 Out of town yesterday for a medical specialist appt. (I live in a very rural area, lots of travel for EVERYTHING.) Gone all day, took advantage of shopping opportunities as well. Ate Chinese for Lunch/Dinner. Large Dinner Portion. Very high in sodium I am sure. Hate to start the round this way, but hopefully a whoosh will come along in a few days of water weight. I feel very bloated. Heavy. That is my punishment for choosing to eat too much Chinese. YESTERDAY’S STATS: 62 Net Carbs. 1321 Calories In / 2143 Calories Out. 8,333 total steps. 3.55 total miles. 12/13 (250) fitbit steps. 5 hours 49 minutes of sleep (fitbit) which is the most I have had in over a week so that felt good. A bit of walking during shopping to offset long car ride. 12 minutes of aerobic dancing before bed. Today it is back to business! I can't wait for my tummy to feel okay again!

•9/5 - 182.8 - Gee, I thought I had posted this. My son called me for some reassurance concerning my DGD early this morning. He wasn't sure that she would be able to find her classroom. Kindergarten classes are at the very back end of the school. Parents cannot enter the school with the children. First child in elementary school parent jitters. His baby. Not quite 100 ozs of water yesterday, which is MUCH better than the last 4 or 5 days. I have a couple of homegrown cucumbers from a friend. I added some thin slices to my lemon water. I'm shedding water like crazy.

Hi, my name is Andrea. This is my second round and I am glad to have this group to keep me accountable. I am 47 and have 2 school-aged kids (9 and 12) that keep me running with appointments, after school clubs and dance classes. I am making a commitment to get healthier for me and them. My ultimate goals are to lower my cholesterol, A1C and blood pressure with a goal weight of 140 to get me into the normal BMI range. My short term goal would be to get out of the obese range, so a goal of 169. I love having the even shorter 10-day goal to keep it really obtainable.

I LOVE carrots, even though they make my throat hurt (I can't remember the name of the reason. It's connected to hay fever somehow, which always sounds weird). Coworkers at my last job would ration my carrots because I'd munch on them then complain about a sore throat!2 -

@tiabirdie56 I thought they would at least let the parents walk them in the first couple days of school. Hopefully she found it ok! I know I was an emotional wreck when mine first started school too.
Also, thanks for mentioning your cucumber/lemon water! I think most people already know the benefits of lemon water, but I found out about the cucumbers reducing water retention not too long ago! Thanks for the reminder, I'll be using when needed7 -

9/05 – I’m back. I missed a whole round. After my little break at the cottage, I was swept into a whirlwind of back-to-school for my boys. My youngest goes to school five hours away and he was moving into his first apartment ever. The shopping … the stress … the cooking lessons!!! Needless to say, I haven’t tracked or weighed anything, but I’m ready to go again. Here we go …

@cdavisdeva, Cucumbers are great for hydration and fluid retention. They are excellent infused in water. Celery is also good for fluid retention. Nice to have options
Yes! She got to her class just fine. Teachers were waiting in the hallway inside the main doors to assist the children. Of course my son couldn't see what was going on. His wife called the school 5 minutes after he dropped her off and little was in her class by then.9 -

9/05 71kg
9/06 71kg - great day yesterday, started with a run, and went to yoga class in the eve.
Another NSV: I wanted to treat myself, didn't eat much during the day, so would have been within cals. But when I went to the supermarket, but couldn't find anything I thought was worth the calories or that I really craved. So I decided to have nuts and dates instead13 -
R50 results: SW 73.4kg, EW 72.2kg (-1.2kg)
The goal of Round 2: Include IF. Get down to 71.00kg. (see how I'm adjusting my expectations here?)
Round 2
09/05 72.2kg - Started with IF. My feeding window is from 1 pm to 9 pm, so I can have dinner with my SO after work. Let's see how IF + cal tracking works.
09/06 72.00kg - IF was good yesterday, I don't think I miss breakfast at all. Had some dental work done and it messed me up so I couldn't go to the gym. But I'm going today and tomorrow, so I can hit my 3x/week. My friend is doing a 4h body (slow carb diet) and he's losing insane amounts of weight. Should I test it? It's not a sustainable system for me, which worries me. You hit your goal weight using this "hack" and then what? When I experimented with low carb I'd lose weight but the minute I started eating carbs again it would all come back. Maybe our way is more sustainable/better? We're trying to build long-term habits and commit to a healthy lifestyle, which should last a lifetime. Go us! Ok, sticking to IF + cals for this Round. It's so easy for me to get sidetracked with a "new efficient diet"! Staying on this path. Persistence & perseverance. We'll get there.
