The fat cat gave her owner that look, when her owner told her to stop eating dirt.....

Sorry I can't figure out how to make the smaller. This is what's keeping me busy. Store is having a big sale the first weekend in October.
One pound from my lowest post surgery weight.

Thinking of everyone on the Carolina coast. Don’t mess around with a cat 4 storm. Get as far away as possible.
Went for a 2 mile walk today after book club. Fist exercise in a couple of Weeks.
Eye still sore but better.

Janetr don’t try, leave them that size4

Rebecca such exciting news. I'll pray for her that all goes well!!!
And thanks so much on my ornaments and the weight loss
Janetr1 -
Janetr - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ornaments! Keep posting them - full size.
Rebecca - Yeah, 5 weeks along is a touchy time; after Tami miscarried, she said she would not tell anyone that she was pregnant until her 4th month. We were 'so excited' and was the last fertilized egg of the IVF procedure; so they were crushed. I did not know how hard it had hit my son until he called and asked that I not call Tami again; and, I had just gotten off the phone with her. They went out to the lake and stayed out there and turned her phone off. I could have knocked out my other DDnL#1 for suggesting that 'maybe they could adopt'. Not what they wanted to hear at that time. Such a touchy subject; but, I still am of the belief that when a woman miscarries there is a 'reason' and they'll never know why. Whatever is in God's plans for them will come to them 'if' that is what is intended.

Did 5 minutes of hula hoop, held my plank for 3 minutes, then the extremepump class. The plan for tomorrow is to do Kelly Coffee Meyer’s Cardio Quick Fix DVD
M – I do have to say that the highlight of our trip was seeing Jess’ ceremony and her taking her oath. That almost brought me to tears…to see her pursuing her life-long dream
Lisa – I figured ther wasn’t much I could do with all the snafus. To me, some of the things were so irrational. Like making me buy that quart zip lock bag only to put it into the gallon bag that I had. Oh well, I guess it could have been worse. Love how you’re keeping us up-to-date on the house. You’re certainly doing a lot of work, I don’t know if I’d be up for that much. Tell me about the interesting week we’ll be having. I’m trying to look on the bright side. The weather forecast right now doesn’t look so good for the end of the week. But then again, do they REALLY know what the weather will be like then on Monday?
My car is leaking transmission fluid. The good news is that this is covered under the 6 month warranty. I just hope I get a loaner car since we don’t know how long it’ll take. I doubt I’ll get a loaner tomorrow when we take it in since it MIGHT be only one day they need to keep the car.
Went to bowling and we got our teams for the winter. In a way, I’m disappointed. Oh, I like the guys who are on my team. But we were together last winter and there are a couple other teams where they’ve kept the same people on a team. To me, you should have to change people on the teams. That’s how you get to make friends. The president of the Newcomers is on the same team she’s always been on. Last year they had to forfeit a lot of games. If the other two (who are married) don’t go, she doesn’t go since she drives with them. I was very surprised they kept them together. She’s having a hard and harder time dealing with the loss of her husband, I would think it would be good to be with new people. There’s another set of ladies who I call the “ugly shirts”. They wear these same shirts that I think are ugly. But they like them, so that’s fine. But this is the third season that they’ve been on the same team.
Picked up my crab at ceramics tonight
Elizabeth – welcome
Lenora – that would be great if Trey did enroll in the school. I’m sad that Denise chose not to take us up on our offer to pay in full for her to get a Bachelors degree. It wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what’s holding her back from finding a job now. But the offer was made. And she chose not to take us up on it.
Rebecca – CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You’ll make an awesome grandmother. Love all the cat pictures
We’re far enough inland that I don’t think we’ll get hit by the hurricane. Maybe some rain. Actually, the last time this area had a hurricane was Hurricane Hugo. That was something like over 20 years ago.

SueinWA: Hope you get that UTI knocked out of your system quickly.
Beth: Congrats on losing during a stressful month! Good to hear your son is getting better.
KareninVA: You are an amazing grandma. DGS will thrive under your care and instruction.
Meg Prayers going up...deep breaths.
Quiet weekend. DH is driving me nuts with daily misplacing items critical to our everyday life. Yesterday it was the cat's leash. Today it was the remote control. Everyday is a treasure hunt living with him. I hate dementia.....and sometimes I don't always behave with compassion.
I haven't done any bonus calorie burning on the recumbent bike in two days, so committing to you all that I'm going to climb on there now.
Stay well friends. We can do this.

Rori Maybe get those tile trackers you can attach to everything so you can quickly locate lost items.

Karen: I'd never seen these before. Just looked on Amazon...cool! Thanks for the tip.
Today was a great day. DH and I took a drive through Guanella Pass in the mountains to see the fall colors which are popping up here very early this year. Perfect weather. Stopped in the town of Georgetown for lunch, then came home along some other backroads because a bad accident caused closure of the interstate. On my gratitude list today I'm adding that I enjoy driving and have a car that handles curvy mountain roads well.
Welcome to the new ladies. Keep reading along...we are a chatty group, and welcome you jumping right in with what's happening in your world.

Rori, that is such a gorgeous drive. My second husband (now deceased) called the lake there in front of George Town and the pass, his fishing hole. We went there a lot. Good memories.

JanetR - the ornaments are so beautiful. Especially love the cameo, but then, I have a soft spot for those... and congrats on the continuing weight loss!
Rebecca - one of the women I worked with just had her first baby today, after the same issues. Ended up that she carried five days past full term, and both are doing very well. My fervent hope that all goes well with mom and baby (and hubby).
Settled into El Paso... and missing my hubs. I always do when I travel. He's my security blanket, my safe place, and I always leave my heart there with him when I go. Feel like half a person when I'm not with him.
Don't get too misty-eyed, though. By tomorrow, I'll get over it. It's just first-night-away blues. Will be glad when I get home, though.
Love y'all,

I'm the same with my husband, half a person. I don't know what to do, and have to have the radio on 24/7. When I have had to drive home from the hospital and leave him there. We are quite a pair! We even dress the same! Both picking the same color like the loony really old people!! Haahaa!

Well here I am again, but it's so late I'm heading to bed. The day just got away from me.
Thanks for all the good wishes...I should clarify it's my father in law who is in Ohio. I'm getting different stories from people, so I'm not quite sure what is going on. One of my brothers in law will be calling me with an update.
I really have enjoyed the pics, especially the ornaments and that grumpy looking cat LOL. She looks like she has just been chastised!
OK ladies, bed time for me. Take care everyone! Meg from Omaha2 -

I'm crying, my daughter got her CPA. When she started university she had been out of high school almost 20 years, was a single mom of three teenagers, worked full time and went to school full time at night. She earned her BA in four years then went on to receive her Masters Degree one year later. She now has passed all four of her CPA exams and is official.
I raised my girls as a single mom and know what a challenge it is. I'm bursting with pride!
Thanks for listening to my brag.
Janetr OKC17 -
Janetr WOW! Those exams are notoriously difficult. Lots and lots of smart people can't pass them. I am impressed. You betcha you're proud of your girl!2

Thank you, Karen, that means a lot to me. She was in a very physically abusive marriage and finally took the kids and got out. Truly an example of strength and determination.

Janet - Congrats to your daughter. You have every right to be proud!! I love your ornament pictures. Keep them coming. Congrats on your continuing weight loss, you’re going to get below your post-surgery low before you know it. If I make it to OKC this fall/winter, I will try to go by the craft mall where your ornaments are.

Congrats to your daughter and you...how wonderful..
My best friend like I told you and her husband are at ground zero for where hurricane Florence is supposed to hit...they I am sure will be evacuating today or tomorrow they have family a couple hours away , hopefully that is far enough away..this think is a monster.2 -
If you remember DJ, who hasn't been with us for a while, she lives near the coast in SC. Hope she'll be ok.
I had a decent day yesterday. Got in my writing and my run. Feeling more lethargic today. Will do some bonus cycling and try to write a few words. Will have spicy Asian soup for lunch. I'm getting the odd minor wave of anxiety as we wait to hear about the buyer's mortgage. I ask myself, "Will this help?" The answer is NO. So I switch attention and breathe.
Making chicken curry for dinner in the IP.
Congrats to your daughter, Janet. Sounds like the best qualification for flexibility of working combined with good pay.
Been putting things off by doing my nails. Must get down to it.

Stay safe and heed the warnings about this hurricane.
Congrats to all the losers! Inspiring to hear of such great progress.
Rori your fall drive looks gorgeous. One of my favorite things to do this time of year. I’ve got a date next week to do such a drive.
Today I will reconnect with a friend that has been estranged, challenging but worth reaching out to see if we can reconnect

Yesterday and today were 21C ... warmest days in months!!
Today I decided to go for a run at lunch and enjoy the lovely warm weather. I got running and running, then turned around to run back and ended up doing 6 km. My longest run since January.
However, my legs did start questioning what we were up to along about 4.5 km.
