Yeah, when you're smaller, sedentary and/or already at a lower weight, the losses just don't come as quickly and the calorie level isn't there to be able to indulge as much. I've read that a lot of people in that situation will bank their calories earned from exercise when they want to be able to indulge.

Not to mention you run into that 1200 calorie 'floor' when choosing 2 pounds a week. 2 pounds a week might actually only allow you 950, but MFP (rightfully) won't give a person that as their target, so the user is left thinking they can eat 1200 and lose 2 pounds because that's what MFP said. I wish they'd add something along the lines of 'appropriate goal' suggestions and make that more clear in the setup.

Yep, absolutely. I like the table that gets tossed around quite a bit:

Pound per week goals for number of pounds until normal weight range is reached:
75+ lbs set to lose 2 lbs
Between 40-75 lbs set to lose 1.5 lbs
Between 25-40 lbs set to lose 1 lbs
Between 15-25 lbs set to lose .5-1 lbs
Less than 15 lbs set to lose .5 lbs
Any idea where that table comes from? I'd like to chase down the source. :)

I eat what I can afford with 5 kids at home even if it’s processed food I just watch how much I’m eating

I do a mix of processed (Gardein, veggie dogs, some low-calorie snack foods like pop chips) and homemade. And sometimes? I actually put processed food in something homemade...

I love junk food also but try to eat mostly healthy but have a little junk food. I know what too much of it will do for me. But I have to have some junk food, life is too short.

Yep I like to mix it up, love to eat out, and hang out at the local bar - pizza and chips need to be able to squeeze into my daily calories :)

Supper last night fell apart, so tonight, it's lifting followed by hamburger, veggies, and banana chocolate chip muffins (yes plural, because mini-muffins).

Yay. I gave up on trying to get all the macros and clean food and all I did was crave my junk. So now I’m doing calories and whatever. Of course I’ll take a vitamin. Life is too short.

I'm weird. I'm not a fan of chocolate + cheesecake. I'll take the plain, and any with fruit.

Same. I like chocolate and I like cheesecake but together they compete too much.

Cream cheese chocolate frosting is awesome though.

    A witch! Burn her!

Can confirm witchiness as a self-certified Pagan that also doesn't believe in chocolate cheesecake (or cheesecake in general).

    :D

Had chips and dip for breakfast. I've missed posting in this thread, lol!

I agree on the chocolate cheesecake combo, although I like Grand Mariner cheesecake with a chocolate crust.
