Female, 46yo, 5’4” I am an advanced age mother to 2 little boys (4yo & 17mo). I want to lose weight so I have less pain and can do more with my kids.

This is my 1st 10 day challenge. We are having a weight-loss competition at work (% body weight lost) and this is my motivation to get back on track. It started 8/1 and ends 10/31. I’m not typically a competitive person but I’m setting out to win this competition and if I lose 30+ lbs and don’t win, I’ll still be a winner in my own mind!

Need to find new way to place my emotions on hold 'till I come out the other side of the stress.

9/25 -- 177 --Pretty good day yesterday. Met calorie and exercise goals, but succumbed to the peach coffee cake my husband made over the weekend and ate a whole piece instead of just a bite.
9/26 -- 177 --Again ok on the exercise and calorie front. But the carbs lost to a really nice milk stout....
9/27 -- 177.5 -- And again. Hit the exercise, missed by a little on the calories. Big fancy meal out with my husband and had a small dessert. Over on carbs again. But the next 7 days I should be out of excuses...and my fitbit is up and running again

13th Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Last round I wrote “I’m hoping that [planning meals & gym] will kick up the loss and I can make it under 150 by Christmas.” Having not done any figuring of course. Now that I figure it out there are 8 rounds before Christmas. So that is a possible goal for me but doesn’t allow for cheat days. Hmm, wonder if there were no cheat days where I would end up? So my goal for this round is – No cheat days where I snack in the evenings. No getting carried away with extra large portions at meals because I like that food or I’m stressed.

Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June. This is less than 1 lb. per round but as I realize that may not be possible as I get lower (close to 27 rounds till then so 1 lb per round would put me at 131).

So great to see this number. I know as I get to the lower 150’s, I have way less foot, ankle, knee issues and can walk a lot further. So looking forward to that.
9/26, Wednesday – 158.6 No gym today as have too much to do getting ready for company next week. Should keep me active though.
9/27, Thursday – 159.6

Today is no stressing allowed just pray, plan and do it. Praying is much better than stressing.

9/25--217.1 I First time in over a week I've gotten back to my normal water drinking levels.
9/26--216.4 Back to my pre-trip weight and trend weight. Tonight is yoga, I haven't gone in 2 weeks, I so need it. I've been thinking about getting back into weightlifting, since I have stopped going to my kettlebell club. I recently moved and the club changed it's class schedule, so it's just not convenient anymore. I'm going to get a 3 day pass from a nearby gym and try it out and see if I like it, if not there are a couple of other gyms that I can try out. I'm not a big gym person, but I do want to lift weights again and this gym also has an indoor pool which is nice too.
9/27--216.0 Did some snacking last night even though I wasn't hungry. It was definitely stress related. I knew what I was doing while I was snacking, but it was almost as if I couldn't stop myself. It was weird...almost like an out of body experience. Luckily I had eaten pretty well during the day such that the extra snacking only put me over my daily calories by less than 500. Positives for yesterday was that at least I recognized what I was doing and I curtailed the amount of damage done. Today is a new day.

Hi you all! I finished the previous challenge which I couldn't lose weight but weigh myself every day and try to control myself. That was something to start. In this challenge, my aim is to REALLY control myself. My goals are:
*Not to eat junk food
*Drink alcohol max 3 glasses in 10 days (if possible no drink because of reflux)
*Go to the gym 6 times in 10 days
*Drink enough water
*Don't drink coffee for a while (because of reflux)

I forgot to weigh myself today, because of being late to the work... But yesterday I drank a little alcohol and ate too many carbs (pasta...), not a good day.
9/26 85.9 kg (189.3 lbs)
Failed too soon. I ate Nutella with a spoon and it wasn't enough I ate a whole chocolate bar. Don't know why I'm doing this... And I'm very busy and tired these days with work, for this reason, I cannot go to the gym. If I've been motivated enough I believe I could go, but I'm not yet... I hope today I won't disappoint myself.

Yay! I hope I get rid of 86's at last! Yesterday was good, no junk food and alcohol. However, I couldn't go to the gym. I was busy all day and really exhausted.

09/25: 249.4 - I'm not sleeping well lately. I think it's nerves from looking for a job after being a stay at home mom for so long. I woke up groggy and sore today. I have an interview tomorrow with a staffing agency and I hope it goes well. Also, I had a chicken fajita salad last night and it was delicious. I'm going to have that more often.

09/26: 249.8 - Strength training water retention. Not worried about the slight gain at all. I had an interview this morning and they want a second interview this afternoon. I hope this is a good sign! Hopefully I will be returning to the workforce by Monday! Thanks you guys for wishing me luck!

09/27: 250.6 - Wretched scale! Lol I ate really late last night and unexpected guests brought subs for everyone. I was good though and only had a 6 inch. Unfortunately, it was smothered in mayo. I tried static stretching yesterday and it felt great but I'm a little sore today. I think I'm going to go light on food today and drink lots of water. I have my final weigh-in for the September Fat2Fit challenge and hopefully the scale drops a bit before then.

9/25 - 140. Yay! I've been waiting for this number for a few days. Happy to see it and trying not to celebrate it with a whole box of cheesy crackers!
9/26 - 140. Happy to see this number stick around. There was a bottle of champagne in my fridge purchased a few weeks ago ready for hitting 140. I enjoyed a glass last night, but didn't feel obligated to finish the bottle. I'm very hopeful that I'll see the 130s this round and so glad for this challenge that has helped me make it this far.
9/27 - 141. Whoops, wrong way. I went through a whole series of emotions in the past 4 hours based on that one little number. My immediate response was a really childish and grumpy "oh well, who cares, I'm going to go eat a snack, this scale isn't the boss of me." As the morning passed (so very much not a morning person, things always get better as the day wears on), I've decided that this number was exactly what I needed to see today. I've been getting sloppy and indulgent in the past few days. I'm lucky to have a body that almost always immediately shows small losses and gains based on my recent behavior and quickly shows me when I need to get my act together. So thanks, body, for the feedback, I'm going to follow my plan with more precision.

I had rice last night. And I tend to go up on the scale any time I have rice. Will try to avoid and this better go down tomorrow. Tonight I have everything planned. Definitely not going to go back to the 190s. Hell no.

9/27- 188.3- Thank god. Did really well yesterday. Even had a slice of pizza but still under calories. Going to try to eat healthier tonight and still be under my calories. So far so good. Really want to reach my goal for this challenge. Also I'm going to the gym today after my vacation so that's good. I'm excited. I'm seeing my friends tomorrow to watch a movie but we all said we want to eat healthy so hopefully that works out.

9/25 - 84.4kg, trying IF (16:8). It’s definitely doable when I have zero calories drinks!
9/26 - 83.0kg, successfully fasted for 16.5hrs! I think this weigh in is on the lower end of my fluctuations where yesterday was on the upper end. It’s motivating regardless

9/27 - 82.5kg, just over 3hours left of my second 16hr fast! I’ve been weighing myself at different times of the day so getting a lot of variation. It’s great to see the scale to go down but I’m not holding onto these lower numbers just yet. The past two days I’ve weighed myself after eating, but today was before eating, so perhaps the first weigh-in was over?
9/28 - 82.8kg, weighed first thing this morning. I have just over 4hrs left of my fast, really loving IF! I have my period so I imagine some bloating is factoring in, but not too concerned, it’s a slow process and I trust it

@quiltingjaine, Hahahahaha yeah. I wonder if my converted baked goods recipes would be edible too. I think cheesecake would be just fine though, most difficult part being the crust. Is a crust even needed if you use parchment and a regular cake pan? I wonder? That's an experiment for me one day. Not desperate yet. Lol.

]Round 6 for me.. dropped out in the last round. Hoping to stay in this round. I'm packing as we soon should be moving into a new flat. I did manage to get down to 192, but I had a bad eating day yesterday ( not enough food) so my body has held on to its fat. Looking to get to 190lbs by the end of this round.
9/25-193- new NSV - fitting back into size 14!! So happy - so far 22lbs weigh dropped
