Really struggled this evening. Tired and wanted to revert to old habit of stuffing myself with food. Fnally allowed myself some blackberries with sugar free whipped topping and that took the edge off.1

8 days to lose only half a pound is not exciting but the charts help me to see I need to kick it up a gear!

I didn't check to see if another round started! I do have most of my weights from another thread.

Another fairly successful week! 14 days without alcohol... it helps my mood. Still not sleeping well at night. I think when I increase my exercise, I will finally start sleeping better.

Love the chart! Looking good!
I like the expediancy of tickers and they are so easy to use.
They help me push to keep a downward trend.
Congratz on the two weeks dry! Absolutely mandatory for me in a weight loss journey also.
And I agree you will sleep better when you get active.
Some ‘experts’ say don’t workout before bed but I always feel like taking a nap after a good workout and hot shower.
So, I use that and usually push close to the limit of physical effort at the end of the day, drink water or ‘after-workout’ drink then hot shower and bed pulled back ready to crawl into. I dont do anything after the shower like tv or media devices (the blue light wakes you up) and get some great sleep!
Note- best to time it for enough hours so you don’t need an alarm if possible. Then you maximize recovery and are ready for new day0 -

Honestly, I'm worn down. I'm up 2 pounds this week, and I know it's not all fat, but I've been feeling burnt out for weeks now, and this is just the culmination of that. I have 1 week til my vacation, I'm trying to hold on and keep on plan. My workout schedule has been all over the place, eating's been off. Sleep has been terrible. I'm hoping to reset and come back fresh after vacation. I'm bringing my workout clothes and shoes with me to keep it up on the trip, but honestly I just want sightseeing to be my cardio.1 -
Sounds like a vacation will do you a lot of good @moodybear2003. Hang in there. You will get your mojo back!0

Well it seems like I have a plateau of sorts reported. And I really thought the scale was going to be my friend this morning. I weigh every day and two days ago I was teased with a 210 reading.... but it was a tease. That's okay. I had a ton of NSVs this weekend. I am now 3 weeks without a drink. That is the biggest NSV.... alcohol is not the scale's friend, nor mine!!!! Anyway yesterday, after I sang at Mass, I decided to do my weekly routine of going to my local restaurant and having a veggie omelet. Normally I would also order a Bloody Mary, I love them... so walking into this place and ordering was a temptation. When time came to order the drink, I asked for a VIRGIN Mary. I won over the temptation and it was just as delicious as one with booze. Plus I got a healthy dose of potassium so double win.
So I am not so brokenhearted that I didn't show a huge loss. I am still down 7.5 lbs from the beginning. All is well.
Hope everyone has a great and successful week!
Cyndy

Inching down. Thought my number would be way better today, but I let the reigns go a little bit this weekend. Glad that I am showing a loss... I am surprised. It's funny how you can do SO GOOD during the week... have one high calorie day and Boom... it comes back so fast. Still motivated and now up to 29 days no alcohol! If you know me, you will know what a huge accomplishment that is. I will be at day 30 tomorrow!!!!! Hurrah!

Hi @JulieH32563 ! We are just copying and pasting for sure... then just filling in each week as we go along.

Shannon here. 48 yrs old
Height: 5'3”
Highest weight: 282
Current weight: 273
Pounds lost: 9 lbs.
Short term goal: 200
Long term goal: 140
Calories eaten per day: 1,850
Exercise: 3-5 days a week
Type of exercise: walking, recumbent stationary biking and workout videos
Diet: whole foods, whole grains, fruits and veggies, lean proteins, lots of water
Want to reach my short term goal or less by the age of 50.
The weight is coming off slowly and steadily. 2-3 lb per week. So I'm happy with that. I have everything working against me, (hypothyroidism, bipolar meds that make you gain) but I'm kicking it in the teeth and thumbing my nose at my challenges. I will lose this weight.
I've been trying for years and had losses and gains due to meds and eating choices, but I'm determined this time will be it. This is not a diet but my new healthy way of eating. This is a lifetime decision. This is for my health primarily but also my looks.
I'm just so tired of being tired and fat. Tired of thighs rubbing together. Tired of wondering if I'll fit in the roller coaster car at Six flaggs. This fat life is not living. I'm just now beginning to live my life as I'm losing this weight for good. Myfitnesspal is great for logging my food and exercise. Couldn't ask for a better app for free!
Glad to meet you all and good luck to everyone, although luck has nothing to do with it. It's hard work and perseverance!7 -

We’ve had company for the last three and a half days and I have jumped right off the weight loss trolley with both feet! I’ve completely ignored the whole Intermittent Fasting idea and have been having huge breakfasts with potatoes and cheese and bacon and eggs and biscuit with butter and jam!!! And banana pudding for after dinner desert, way later than I should. Yummmmmmy!!! I know I have gained, the only question is how much.
Company leaves tomorrow morning so I’ll need to hop back on the trolley and get back to work! I am dreading tomorrow’s weigh-in. 😞2 -
