What was your starting weight? Height? How long did it take you to get there? What was your approach?
293 at my heaviest (Oct. 2016). The pic on the left I am about 280 or so. I'm 6'0". Started in Dec. 2016, lost about 40-45 down to 247 over the next 4 months. Got off track from March-October of 2017 and gained about 15-17 back. Back up to 263, got back on the plan October 16 of last year and have lost about 75 since then. I'm about 187 in the picture on the right last week. Trying to get down to 10-12% body fat and then bulk from there (probably about 10 more pounds to lose as I am currently around 15-16% by my best estimation).
My basic plan is eat whatever I want as long as it fits my calories and macros (my diary is open, I think). I try to eat more healthy things than before, but I love food too much to not be able to eat what I want. I try to get decent protein intake. I try to get 6 workouts a week in (3 lifting, 3 cardio/core). I have 2 lifting workouts I alternate each time, focusing on compound lifts (Deadlift, Squat, Bench, Rows, Overhead Press) with a few accessory lifts thrown in. I try to do HIIT cardio 2 times a week, with a longer run once a week. I sometimes play full court basketball in lieu of the cardio workouts.

Wow, your post about hypo is interesting. I am type2. During my training on how to inject myself at the hospital, the urgent care Doctor told me "If you go low during the night while your sleeping and you wake up to find you're low - you get one chance to correct it. Don't go back to sleep again." It was also recommended that I be careful on the amount of insulin while combining with exercise. I made that mistake once, too much exercise. I woke up and was barely functional - checked my Gl level. It was 3.8. scary. My Gl maintenance level is between 8 and 11. So really drastic drop. I don't use an insulin pump, I inject it twice a day. Nice to hear other diabetics experiences.4

It definately makes it more of a challenge. I don’t lose much weight if I’m not very strict on my carb intake. The more carbs I eat, the more insulin I need.. I’ve found that eating 50-80g of carbs a day was most effecient for me. My weight wasn’t budging for two months when I ate over 100g of carbs (even if I was eating the same amount of calories) Insulin is anabolic, so that’s probably the reason why. After my first 20 pounds I had an awful hypo episode while I was sleeping. If my boyfriend hadn’t reacted and given me something I don’t know what would have happened.. So be careful! I feel like a healthier way of eating and weight loss has increased my insulin sensitivity like hell. I’m probably using like 1/6th of the insulin I did before. Blood sugar should be reeeally closesly monitored during weight loss. And if you have a hypo episode and have «used up» all your calories, just f* the calories 😂 You don’t ruin your progress by having to get your blood sugar up one night.

"pb1workouts- my mom is a type 1 and her blood sugars seem to stabilize within a good range as long as she has protein with every meal, snack & before bed. She also quit drinking alcohol which seemed to drive her to low blood sugar in the middle of the night. Best wishes!

Because there are not so many contributions in the German forum I wanted to post here now, I made a nutrition plan for me in May and then pulled him through to November so until today I lost ten kilos and now I want to continue to build muscl.

I still have more weight to lose but my last 20 weeks i have been basically eating at maintainance whilst working out (weight training 4 x a week at a local gym.) Having been losing weight for the last 3 yrs i felt the need to change things up a bit. when i started at 32.6st i promised myself that when i got below 20st i'd join the gym. i currently weigh 18st 12lbs. There is of course lots of loose skin,( not shown in photo) as being 52 yrs old and the effects of gravity take their toll on a body!!!
