@quiltingjaine, First off, I am a very reserved and tactful person, but if I heard your friend say her husband likes her "fluffy" I would not be able to contain my laughter.π But seriously, I think deep down she does not like being "fluffy" and she is still trying to figure keto out in her mind for herself.
I'm sure that you've told her, but people don't listen.
If she is reading the menu aloud for you, telling YOU what you CAN eat, this is also telling her husband. Maybe she points out foods that you CAN eat, thinking that your keto woe severely restricts you. Yes, the carbs cause fluid retention and you have to deal with that. Carbs don't always knock you out of ketosis. Just tell her that you can eat anything you want.
Furthermore, If being "fluffy" is not healthy for her, why does her husband like her that way?4 -

Ok, I can see my ticker on my iPad but not on my computer. How weird is that?2
-
Can anyone see my ticker? Mine is weird too since I tried to change it.1
-
@quiltingjaine -- Looking for the positive side....She may be impressed with what you have done and, like others said, trying to figure it out for herself. The menu reading may be self-talk (as opposed to directed at you) where she is trying to figure out whether she could do it and what she would be able to eat/have to give up. That being said, I like the suggestion of gently telling that her that although you "know" she is just trying help...it is annoying!5

Goal Weight 140
Hopefully I can be really good in this round and be in the low 150's consistently. My DH will be gone this whole week on a business trip so it's just the kids and I. I haven't figured out if that is going to be good for me or really bad for me yet. I ended the last round kind of high so hoping to start this one lower right away. Ending on a Monday is probably never going to work in my favor. The weekends are my enemy!
12/04 - 153.4 This is what I was wanting to end the last round with, but that Taco Bell from Saturday night killed me for 2 days. Oh well, ate below calories again yesterday because I knew I was going to lunch today. My sister has been deployed for the last year and is coming home. We are all meeting her at the airport and taking her to lunch. Going to try and eat sensible, but no matter what I do I always gain when I eat out. At least I saw this today and I'm just going to enjoy myself. Hopefully won't hurt me to bad tomorrow. If I can finish this round at 152 or 151 I will be happy.

This is my eigth round. I am thinking this is the perfect way to move through December, with mini-goals, support and comraderie. I would love to be at 155 by Christmas but will be happy just being solidly in the 150s! Let's make this a month of mindful celebrations taking time to appreciate our loved ones, our health, and our progress on this journey!

12/04 -- 160 -- A bump up...but a small one. I ate well and exercised well and posted a big loss last round, so I am not going to let this bother me. NSV -- Yesterday friends invited me to hike with them. I really enjoy walking in the woods, and the company....but in order to make sure I got my exercise in I snuck out for a fast 4 mile walk through the neighborhood before meeting them at 9. So glad that that was my inclination, rather than just writing it off for the day!

@quiltingjaine I personally think your friend may be a little insecure with her self now that you are seeing results. I have been with my husband for many stages of our lives, fluffy, skinny, and everything in between and that goes for both my husband and I. He has loved me and I have loved him no matter what our bodies looked like, so I have never lost weight for my husbands sake. I have lost it for my own. I was insecure about myself. I am turning 40 next year and being a mother of 5 and a wife, I kind of lost track of what I wanted and needed for a while. Now that my kids are getting older and don't need me as much, my husband and I get to have those date nights and getaways that we really never got to do with out the kids always being there. I started noticing once I had this time that I didn't necessarily like the way I looked physically. I didn't look bad, I just wasn't happy. I had never taken the time to notice fully how much raising a family had taken over and I had kind of let myself go. Now that I am 25 pounds down, I am still happy, but definitely more secure with myself. I have more to go, but I feel better. I think your friend maybe insecure that you are losing and she is not. I bet she hadn't noticed how much she had let herself go until you started losing. I would just let it go and be proud of yourself and your accomplishments!8

Bette Davis said in the movie ALL ABOUT EVE "Fasten Your Seatbelts-It's Going To Be A Bumpy Ride".
December is all about Festivities and Feasts. Social gatherings and baked goods. Fudge and Fun. So, for me at least, I don't expect perfection. But I am going to hang on tight to the sled as I go up and down those hills, and I am going to hope that at the bottom of it all I will see improvement even while enjoying the ride!
Wishing everyone a great December!!!13 -

@jaccimc63 I am the same, after so long of training myself to stick to 1200 I forget or get scared to go over if It is necessary. If I have a moderate work out day (300 or lower cal burn) then I make sure to stick to 1200 but if I pull an amazing day (closer to 700 cal burn) I need to remember to up it too closer to 1500. If I don't I won't loose...or have energy lol5

@kimmie373 You're down 0.7 and that seems good.
@FarmerCarla, @kmfeig87, @jenn990205 and @tiabirdie56, First, thank you all for your input. I'm a non-confrontational person so I know I will not say anything to her - but perhaps I should. Her husband and mine workout at the gym at the same time so Carl talks to him and and then things get passed on to her. I know Carl is impressed with my loss and that is why he has started eating more keto. He quit buying cases of soda and only gets one if we go out to eat. Anyway, the husbands think it is unhealthy to not be eating a lot of fruit but when I told Carl there are NO ESSENTIAL carbohydrates, I quit hearing about that! I DO believe she may be jealous but not at the point where she wants to or has the support to change her eating. (Her husband is tall and thin.) She recently shared that she had a tummy tuck when she was 30+ years younger. I was surprised. She orders multiple appetizers and entrees when we cruise. And Jenn, she appears very confident but perhaps it is a show and she is insecure. Tish, the "fluffy" comment nearly makes me LOL too! She is among the many in our neigborhood who routinely have to have their A1C checked although she is not, as far as I know, taking any diabetes meds. And it has never been suggested that I need to have that done. I'm happy with my life and my body! Thank you everyone!! I love you all!!8 -

Weight is 241 today. BUT... I took some pants out of the closet. We're talking pants I've never worn because they've never fit. But I could button them and zip them and didn't have to INHALE AND SUCK IN. They weren't comfy yet, but I anticipate by the end of this round, I'll be wearing them. These are pants I bought last time I was doing lots of cardio because they were just a hair too small then, I loved them, and they were the last pair the store had. I anticipated getting into them, but never did. I will, though!
