    This is hilarious. And I agree with being on this journey for myself, no-one else. The fact that Hubster likes it is a bonus!

    @quiltingjaine, as someone with a strict dietary need (I have Celiac, so no gluten), I've found that if someone is pointing out things I can eat, it usually means they are either doubting whether I have to eat that way (since it can be a bit trendy to go gluten free) or they are just really curious about what it's like. I usually say things like, "Yeah, as you can see, I have to be careful, but there really are lots of options and I don't feel deprived. And I feel so much better since my diagnosis that it makes it all worthwhile! I thought it would be hard, but it's much easier than I expected." And then I see if they want to ask questions. They always do!

    I don't know if your friend is coming from the same place, but it's a strategy you might use.

    @SheilaBoneham, I hope they figure something out. I'm prone to inflammatory problems, so I have so much empathy with what you're feeling!
