I sat my purse in the seat beside me in the doctor's waiting room today and had room to spare.
I'll bet airplane seats are still tiny, though
I look forward to testing that theory.6 -

I wanted to go to Cambodia, or Peru, possibly New Zealand. Are you coming with me?3 -

There's always our handbasket train. It's destination is sub-terrestrial.
ETA: Better yet, you send the kids up here, they can paint and build things, you and I will travel.5 -

This. And airplane seatbelts get longer. And my car seat is further back.7 -

Noooooooo. My short legs barely reach the gas and break as is.5 -
Your bed feels bigger.
I have been wondering about that. We recently moved off of our boat where our bed was king sized at the widest and you could lean against the walls to a normal queen sized bed and hubby thinks we need a bigger bed. I just think we need a bigger blanket so that he doesn't steal it!10 -
I'm cold all the time! 😐22

Last time I flew I weighed probably 40 pounds more than now. I'm sure it would be a more pleasant (or at least marginally less miserable) experience now8 -

I never quite needed a seatbelt extended but was getting close. TBH that was one of my wake-up calls that I was more than 'just a little overweight.'15 -

I had one flight where I managed to get the seatbelt done up, but unbuckled at one point and for the life of me could not get it done back up.
Yeah, there is a lot left over now. Much improved for flying, but still miserable.9 -
I agree about the flying. I always used to try and get out of travelling for work because I hated cramping whoever was unfortunate enough to sit next me and always worried about whether I would need an extender. Now, no issue at all. The only issue currently is overly talkative people next me. No, I do not want to hear your life story.
An unexpected thing about losing weight that I realised today is that the reason that my handbag now hurts to carry (it's very heavy) is that it is digging into my collarbone that used to be padded with fat.15 -

People talk to me way too much now! I'm going to try the earbuds trick. All apparently my RBF is weak.
Speaking of less padding, folding chairs and bleachers and such HURT. I understand portable, padded stadium seats now.7 -

Truth! I cannot go to a football game without one any more. So ouchie!9 -
Not much of an issue in the winter, but speaking of padding and lack thereof, the chairs on my front porch are wicker with a pattern woven into the backs. I used to be comfortable in them, but I noticed as I got smaller over the summer/fall my backbone rubbed against it. Will be getting throw pillows for them in the spring.11

This on many levels.. like sodium, sugar.... the old crap food we used to love.. we want to love it again..but we've elevated our taste to know better. You just can't ring that bell again.8 -

I used to be a Dr. Pepper-o-holic. I would start my workday with 32oz drink, another after work and maybe more. I stopped drinking it and didn't have any for over a year. I went thru a phase where it still tasted ok but I drank it for energy. Going to clean the house on Saturday morning - have a small 8 oz soda. I quit doing that and now when I have a weird craving for soda I'll get one and after one sip I'm done. Luckily I found Dr. Pepper licorice type candy that satisfies that flavor craving without the sickeningly sweet and bubbly mouth feel.10 -
My work chair has become a lot harder. I can smell food and odors much better now that I eat cleaner. I thought I had lost my sense of smell. I didn't!16

@adkhiker63 your bit about cleaner eating and sense of smell seems to be more common than I thought.

If you have lost a significant amount of weight, it might be time for a new mattress, as your body might now prefer a different kind.
Dear lord, I better not get a keener sense of smell, I am already more sensitive than most.8 -

That stinks because I just got a new mattress in February of this year. But then again, I am 70 lbs down.11
