12/15 191.4 fully expected this, had our Christmas party at work last night. Good food and drink. Lots of water today and my yoga class is taking a break for the holidays so I have a new workout I want to do so it looks like the perfect time to try it. Change things up a little might help get over this hump.

@pinkfairy88 We are all here to help you! I’m one of those who reads every post. I don’t comment on every one but having been on this road for decades I think I have experienced almost every bump there is!
@fraukazi Definitely keep some record of what you are eating when you can’t log. When we cruise, I snap a picture of my plate before I start eating and keep a little pad in my purse so I can write things down. Those notes go in my MFP journal in my phone and become part of my “yay, I have internet again” post.
@tiabirdie56 Look how far you have come in 15 months! I hadn’t looked at your spoiler before!
@doseofcrazy Prayers for you and your mom.
@deepwoodslady You are to be commended for catching up on 17 days of posts! That’s almost 2 full rounds! YIKES!! I’m having trouble catching up on 2 days!7 -

@DebCountsAll, Excellent Debbie!
@Birder165, I'm gonna send you a friend request so you can keep an eye on my carb status, lol. I gotta GET OUT of this decade!
@deepwoodslady, So glad to see you back Donna! You, me, @AR10at50, @AJB1014, @Snowflake1968, @allmannerofthings, @eatingfoodles, @motheroftwins95, who did I miss? A LOT OF US in the 170's, and some of us have been parked here for whatever the reason. I'm getting out. Who's with me? @TonyB0588, You dance up and down the 170's too. Let's get OUT!
On a crazy note, because I know I was looking crazy. I was wearing 3 different sizes of clothing yesterday. 16/18 pants, way baggy, but oh so warm velour. I can't afford to replace everything right now, just hanging around home anyway. A size 12/14 tank top. I use my tank tops as undershirts. Since losing so much weight, I feel cold and need the extra layer. An 8/10 long sleeve shirt. Surprisingly the bigger shirt underneath doesn't look bulky. I bought a pair of size 12 jeans. They're going to be too big in a month I'm afraid. They look a tiny bit saggy in the butt without a belt.
@tiabirdie56 yes! out of the 170's That is my goal for January. Part of me is getting complacent here - enjoying the achievement of being lower than I have been in 22 years (guess how old DS1 is) but I am determined to keep going. I need to loose 10 more to get out of obesity - but for the next 2 weeks I am keeping myself at maintenance. This is the first winter in all those years that I did not gain weight during November so I will be starting the new year in a better place than ever. I like the idea that there is a group of us facing this challenge together. Lets go do this! I am almost looking forward to the holidays being over so I can focus on this again. That being said, I am off to New York for the weekend so weighing and tracking will be on hold for a couple of days. Have a great weekend everyone!7 -
Round 62 - my 5th round
Female - 58 - 5'7"
OSW: 271.8 (Oct 9/18)
UGW: 165.0 or lower
End R58: 261.2 (-2.2)
End R59: 258.8 (-2.4)
End R60: 256.6 (-2.2)
End R61: 252.0 (-4.6)
My goal for this round is to keep my wits about me! I'd also like to get in to the 240s during this round.
12/13 - 252.0 - End R61 - starting weight for this round.
12/14 - 253.4 - Nothing to worry about. 3168 cals yesterday. I was super hungry all day and gave in to it. For the 3 days before yesterday, my calories averaged 1506/day and that seems to be my "1200". I can't do too many days in a row at that level. I can lose a lot of weight quickly but I get too hungry & tired. That's without even exercising. I should probably aim for at least 1600 - 1700 per day and perhaps that would help me avoid the high calorie days. ***ETA: I just changed my daily goal to 1700. Hopefully that'll help me find a balance.
12/15 - 254.4 - Oops! I seem to sabotage my efforts whenever I get close to a milestone. 4010 calories yesterday!

Yeah, I do that too. Don't know why. I am the same way with lots of things, I get them 95% done and then leave them - it takes a big self push to get them finished. Funny because finishing and reaching milestones feels so good. Take a deep breath and keep on going - you know you can do it.8 -

12/15 174 One thing I love about my job is that we close for an extended Christmas break - I am off now until Jan 2. We are heading to New York for a couple of days. Exercise will be good - lots of walking, but food maybe tricky. DS2 is travelling with us and we need to choose restaurants that work with his sensory issues. Have a great weekend everyone.

@deepwoodslady PTL!!
@tiabirdie56 I got out my non-elastic waist jeans when my DD told me the elastic waist ones looked like I had “a load in my pants!” They were loose enough that I had to pull them up every time I stood up! LOL
Regarding clothing sizes - no two companies do the same thing. Even within one company there are huge discrepancies on sizing. I sew. Back in the 60’s or 70’s the pattern companies decided to be more like manufacturers’ sizes and came up with “New Sizing” - hahaha. According to the measurements on pattern envelopes, I’m between at 16 and an 18. If I made either of those sizes, I would appear to be wearing a sack! A tank style dress I made two summers ago (size 14) falls off my shoulders! I REALLY wish they all could get together and size for real people! Current rant over.
@salleewins Great job taking the apple!5 -
Round 62
Please join us! Starting on 12/14 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 62
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

12/14 146.5 ~ (Steps 23,296) ~ Today I was about able to get a fabulous swimming session in plus make smart food choices. Yesterday a 1/2 hour before my Body Works class was scheduled, it got canceled AGAIN. So aggravating when you plan to go and they can’t get a reliable instructor, BTW, I would loveeee to be at least in the low 140’s by the end of the year. Focus focus focus.
12/15 144.2 ~ (Steps 23,187) ~ Extremely successful day, I went to a different location, my gym has at least 30 different locations so it was kind of cool checking out a different one. Plus I finally finished Christmas decorating, . My goal too is to be as close to 140 as possible. If I could figure out NOT to snack at night NOT so much, it would of happen long time ago,

12/14 131.5 Oops! My Garmin died and threw my whole day off! I ordered a new one but forgot to come back! I’ll try to catch up tomorrow.
12/15 131.5 I may have mentioned that a friend of ours passed on Monday. This has had a huge impact on Carl which in turn is affecting me. I feel very disorganized this week and am having trouble getting anything accomplished. Carl and I went to a movie (The Mule) and lunch (Cici’s pizza in a bowl) then we came home and he made cookies for Roy’s memorial later this morning.19 -

These next 10 days will include some Holiday parties and my birthday, so I’m just going to continue to track my food and be mindful of my eating, but I’m going to enjoy this time of year with all the celebrations.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 - 144.5 - I'm down just in time for a tax planning lunch with a client. I checked the menu and there's no real low calorie options. I'm just planning to bring half of the lunch back and I'll give it to my husband to eat over the weekend.
12/15 - 144.5 - We're going out to eat tonight with some friends. I will probably be fine on the food calories, it's the adult beverage calories that will get me tomorrow. Oh well, it's time for celebrations. In a month, I won't be able to go out much at all.

23nd Round for me: Female 65, height – 5’
Here we are again. Looked over all my rounds and realized that I’ve only lost around 3 lb. total. 😖 I’d lost about 4 lb. on MFP before joining this challenge. I feel like I’ve lost around 10 – which I have. I also gained 7. Have to be less complacent about it. New maxim: each round counts.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, loss -.2Round 62 – 160.2 Goal this round: under 159, I think this is doable and I need to challenge myself more.

I’m going to apply to go on a short course in April. That is 12-15 weeks away (about 10 rounds). So my more immediate goal is to lose 1 lb/round. The course is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time – I don’t have to lose weight for it but it would be sweet if I did.
Ultimate Goal Weight – 128; Hoping to be under 140 by end of June.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 – 161.2 – Not sure why I’m up as yesterday was quite good. If I hang in there I think it won’t last. I haven’t gotten to the gym this week though because of this cold, so maybe it’s that and drinking a lot (to keep the coughing under control)

Some of my NSVs: my wedding band fits, I wear smaller clothing, and my progress has encouraged my husband to try harder to end his cigarette habit.
Rounds 54 – 61 resulted in a cumulative loss of 24 lb.!
This post documents my last weight loss before I let a careless injury derail me: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/701476/joined-mfp-one-year-ago-today-frumpy-to-fit/p1
This is what I’m going for, second time around. The referenced post, from my old account, even has pictures of the actual me, but I like my little pig profile picture.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 151.6 Starting with a loss—I like that. Until now, I haven’t established a round goal, but, this time, my goal is to get below 150 and never exceed that number again. I changed my final goal weight to a range. In that range, I'll be able to wear my size 6 slacks/jeans again, without looking too skinny. In my younger days, prior to the early 1990's and rampant vanity sizing, a regular size 10 was equivalent to today's size 6. I read that Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, which would probably make her about a size 10 in today's sizing. Of course, I've noticed, in general, that the more expensive the clothing, the more generous the sizing. (My only expensive clothing is used. ) Whatever, my goal is getting closer, and I'm excited!
12/15 151.6 I was a little over on calories yesterday, so I’m happy not to see a gain. Today, I’ll try to get in a short walk. The knee is only a little sore now. I’ll find my knee sleeve before I walk and keep the walk short. I must be patient and let it heal. Confession: I look at my own success story from 2012, linked above, to inspire myself now.

Day/Weight/Comment
12/13: 238.5 Starting weight. Today was my rest day from the gym and dealt with a migraine for a nice chunk of the day, so didn't eat much until this evening(3 slices of cheese pizza and 4 small oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that I made for my boyfriend... he won't miss them!) I still was under my goal, but I am expecting a higher weigh in tomorrow morning. Did not drink as much water as I had wanted to.
12/14: 238.5 again today. Realised that I put 239 for some reason yesterday(actually logged same as yesterday). I made it to the gym this morning and put 30mins on the arc trainer, and 26 on the elliptical. I took my mom for surgery this morning, and had to call out of work because it took so long. I ended up only having a banana during this time, and we bought subway after she got out. I DEFINITELY ate more than I planned to, but am going to try to remain good for the rest of the afternoon. I am traveling up to my boyfriend's house tonight, and do not know if he has a scale, so I may just have to weigh in Monday if that is the case. Will focus on water, logging(when possible) and will try for a workout this weekend at some point.
12/15: No weight to report. Spending the weekend at my boyfriend's and he doesnt have a scale... I am not too concerned with this, as we only get to see each other on Saturday night/Sunday, and I am using a vacation day today off of work... Today hasn't been the most focused day eating wise. I made "Firenog" and snowman cookies. But, I have a slice of lasagna planned for dinner and I think I am on track for the rest of the evening. We walked around the stores a bit today, but I am nowhere near my step goal today. I plan on using his exercise bike tomorrow morning, as I want to do some type of work out this weekend. I do need to focus on drinking more water for the rest of the day, though. So that's the plan-try to make the day a little better.

12/15 179.8. Small decline. So glad it’s down from 181 a few days back. Need to get focused and realize that just because ‘tis the season, I don’t have to wolf down an entire fruit cake loaf. Oink!

My name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!
