That’s a better direction! Yesterday my big win was pushing myself to get those steps in. I have a desk job and man 10,000 can be hard to hit. But I went for a walk at lunch and then when I was short steps I braved the gym by myself and went for a run.12 -
Heaviest Weight: 201
Goal weight 125-135
1/1 174
1/13 168.6 (hope this new back injury from work --I think flare up from the old work back injuries-- I don't know-- doesn't cause fluid weight AND slow me down!!! No stress eating allowed..I DO have a positive, hopeful attitude to get this weight loss done!!
1/14 167.8 doing tumeric, lemon, a/b 800 mg sodium for my back--happy weight still decreased in spite of injury-stuck to calories yesterday--getting back to where I ended last round. One meal at end of round #64 and was outside calories and sodium. I knew it would take a few days to come back down. I wish you could pay ahead-then have the meal, ha ha. I may not do that after this round or be within calories at least. Depends if I meet my goal at the end I think.
1/15 167.8 back improving, but I can see that I am retaining water. Will be patient and keep doing the right things. You all inspire me!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 190 - I’m getting back into the swings of things again by cutting out sugar & processed junk.
01/14 188 - I’m starting the day out right with some black coffee & I'm looking forward to the gym this afternoon.
01/15 185 - This week & this challenge are starting out well. I’m very pleased! No gym yesterday as I feel run down, like I’m fighting a cold. I’ve decided to pay close attention to my eating & listen to my body.

01/13-181.6 I'm super okay with this, I want to try to stay under 182 for this whole round.
01/14-181.9 This is an average of 2 different weights an hour apart this morning. For the first time in my life I am satisfied with my level of activity and exercise. I just need to get to a point where I can say the same about my diet and nutrition, and then I think I'll see great success!
01/15-182.2 This was one of the weights I had yesterday, so I'm okay with this. Ate on track yesterday and did a mile on the treadmill this morning before work.

1/13—216.6—Excellent. I was afraid yesterday's number was a fluke and that I'd bounce way high again. Yesterday, at the very end of round 64, I managed 31 push ups. I'm nearly 1/3 of the way to my end of year goal of being able to do 100 push ups in a single set. Losing more weight would likely help me with that goal!
1/14—219—Least shocking spike ever. I didn't eat well yesterday but had a true salt fest.
1/15—217—It'd be interesting to see where this number would be if I could stop eating salt-laden snacks. Bah!

01/14 - Monday - DNW
01/15 - Tuesday - 175.0 - I considered sitting this round out. My mental health is taking a beating at the moment with work related things for both me and DH. NOT focusing on that stress though. Only solutions. And I realized that burying my head in the sand and ignoring my own physical health would only be feeding the stress monster, not solutions. I do plan to give myself some grace this round and not push as hard - My mom, grandma and myself are going on a Spa sleepover for grandma's 85th birthday Thursday/Friday! Good genes on that side of the family! Timing could not be better. So, taking things one day, one step, one foot in front of the other at a time.

Two higher carb days in a row. I don't fast on Sabbath. Sometimes I eat more food, sometimes I eat later in the day.
1/14 - 176.2 - Really holding the fluid today. Late dinner, late exercise, unplanned snacking. 63g carbs, 57g net carbs. Carbs were: black truffle & olive oil kettle chips, ( They were calling me and I answered. Lol. I ate them instead of going to bed, but they satisfied my need for crunch and high flavor! So, well worth the carbs and fluid retention), peanut butter, spinach, salad, turkey kielbasa. On track today.

Daily Goals:
Drink 90-120oz of water daily; consume 1300 cal (amended) and measure food; no added sugars/sweeteners; around 1500mg sodium intake max; get in 5000+ steps daily; do chi gung; sleep more than 6 hours nightly!
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13: 233.2 @ 5:30am - Light eating much of the day which 'justified' eating some pizza for dinner. Water intake was good and I got a nice amount of sleep! Tomorrow should be much more organized, so I'm expecting better results in terms of meeting my daily goals.
01/14: ??? - Woke up later than anticipated and started working from home right away, so I missed the weighing window I've established. Healthy breakfast and lunch, but less meals, less steps, less water, and a lack of measuring for meals all probably did not serve me well. I'm going to look to have my meals prepped and measured out, and remember that starting (or restarting) a process like this can have growing pains even if you've done it before!
01/15: 234.8 @ 6:50am - This was not surprising, but no less unwelcome. I did start my morning off with water, measured meals for the day, and an agenda for the day that includes some walking. Here's to making today better!

1/13 178.6 I’ll take it. I’ve had no power since yesterday around 1 pm. Missed the Chiefs beating the Colts! Go Chiefs!!!! Instead got a 2 mile walk in just around the neighborhood. It was beautiful. A lady stopped me to ask if I needed a ride. I thanked her for the offer, explained that I was just walking for the pleasure of it. She just nodded her head and drove off. This morning I’m going to shovel the driveway and consider that my exercising for the day. Must conserve phone power 😜😜😜
1/14 No Scale Still now power. Used some points from all my work travel to stay at a hotel. I really needed a hot shower so I could come to work clean today! Fingers crossed the power comes back on while I'm here. There are still over 40,000 people in the greater Kansas City area without power. I know they're working on it. I did stay within calories yesterday. My only exercise was shoveling my driveway but depending on what app you believe it burned either 380 or 650. I assumed the lower number but still a good workout. My legs are sore today. I forgot to celebrate that I'm in the 170's. It's been at least 10 years since I was in the 170s. NSV due to the weather I needed to wear warm slacks and packed accordingly. When I got dressed this morning I didn't realize how long it had worn them. They're too big!!! Of course I'm stuck in them all day but it's the price of of all this and I'm happy to pull them up every time I stand up!
1/15 180.2 Up over a pound but I suspect it's that old demon sodium. I had to attend a work lunch yesterday at a Chinese restaurant. Impossible to avoid it. Good news the power is back on!!! I did not get to work out yesterday as I has planned. Dealing with house stuff and work stuff made it impossible. I'm going tonight. I have a hair appt at 5:00 so I won't be able to go until after but my body needs the workout. I've not been going over calories, but haven't been eating super healthy either. A work out and a salad will do me a world of good. I think I'll be back down to at least 179.X tomorrow. It's a roller coaster baby try to enjoy the ride.11 -
Round 65:
SW- 154 (but this is high)
Goal for round- <150
UGW- 135
Why these goals:
My body feels right. Clothes feel good. And the aches and pains seem to kept at bay. I am able to complete much more when I am on point with my eating and exercise.
Obstacles:
Work stress is at an all-time high right now. I've got to take the time and prioritize my healthy lifestyle so that I can keep head above water and stay positive.
What I'm going to focus on to get to my goal:
1. Water- 64 oz/day minimum
2. Exercise- 30 minutes/day minimum
3. Food- Processed sugar and alcohol free.
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13- NWI. Sledding for exercise. Anxious eating (aka chips and large quantities). I think I had a glass of water.
01/14-154. Water retention from the various processed foods over the weekend. Walked with leslie at lunch. Played racket ball with the boy last night. Sugar in the form of fancy chocolates and caramel popcorn made it into my diet. Net calories were ~0. Water intake was fair.
01/15- 153.5. Still feeling bloated. Fingers feel like sausages. Morning workout with Jillian.

Good Morning!
Im late to this but love the format and would love to join you. I was keto for a year and a bit which was really good for me and lost 40 pounds! -YEAH-
I was very unexpectedly diagnosed with colon cancer one year ago (not sure if anyone expects it but I was really healthy otherwise) During the course of a year I underwent colectomy and 8 months of chemo, finishing at the end of 2018 -YEAH AGAIN!!!...except that I put on 25 pounds ☹ So back on keto I go. Im very weak and have nerve damage in my hands and feet so my initial goal is to build my strength and get back pre chemo weight then build my body from there.
I started dec 28 at 188 lbs

I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13--214.7 Went to the gym this morning to do some weightlifting. Other than going to Lowe's this morning to buy some wood, I will be vegitating the rest of the day.
01/14--215.8 Woke up so sore from workout yesterday, so not surprised about the increase in weight on the scale this morning and it also didn't help that I didn't drink a lot of water yesterday. Starting C25K today and making sure I get my water in today.
01/15--215.8 Finished W1D1 yesterday. Went to the gym this morning and did some weightlifting. Drank more water yesterday,so just need to continue with that today. Plan today is to hang a door and organize my laundry/storage area.

This is round 2 for me! I love doing this.
SW: 294
CW: 282.6
GW: 150ish I think I felt best at this weight.
01/13 282.6 and down a total of 11.4 pounds since Jan 1, have only eaten bad once in that time and I’m finding it easier everyday to follow my lifestyle plan. I’ve started to incorporate exercise as well so I’m hoping to really see some pounds fall off this week.
01/14 282.2 was so sick today. Ugh. I will swear to it that my humidifier made me ill but who knows. So, no exercise today and TONS of schoolwork. This semester is going to be hard especially since I’m going back to working full time. I just have to stay focused on that and losing weight. I know I can do this.
01/15 282.0 What a slow week. Still feeling pretty grungey but so much better than I did yesterday. Going to attempt a workout today. My husband got those Bluetooth boflex weights and they have a ton of exercises to do on their app. Been a long time since I’ve lifted so I certainly want to take it slow. Hope everyone else has a good day, I’ve noticed the thread has really quieted since the last one.

name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!

Round 64 SW 206.6 EW - 207
01/13- 207.8. I was surprised with a gain. Last round and the start of this one really is a surprise. But I’ve been working out more than in theist few months so I’m wondering if this is muscle gain and just my body shifting. My clothes still feel fine so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing.
01/14 - 207.4
01/15- 207.0. I am feeling way more in control this month. I’m home with a. Sick kid today so need to try hard to stick to my plan - food, water. It might be hard to get some steps in.

Please join us! Starting on 01/13 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 65
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

01/13 142.9 - ~ (Steps 16,693) ~ Yesterday I was able to get a short run in before heading out to dinner with friends. Plus even though everyone decided to have dessert, I decided against having some. My husband actually waited till we got home to have some.

01/15 143.3 ~ (Steps 20,817) ~ Tough day had to push myself to get things accomplished, even went for a short walk.

👍🏼👍🏼 This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE. 👍🏼👍🏼13 -
@bryony_bby I wear my Garmin on my ankle because I don’t swing my arms when I walk. I also realized that I wasn’t getting steps for grocery shopping because I was pushing the cart. My original step counter was made to clip in a shoe which really makes more sense to me than on the wrist.6

Last round I did so good, want to try and do it again I need this to stay focused.
SW - 192
Ending Round 64 -188.6
GW for this round - 186
Day/weight/Comments
Jan 14- 188.6 started a day late but I have managed to stay the same. I was careful this weekend up until the end where I stole candy from my kids candy bag that they got from a birthday party. But in all a good start for the week
Jan 15- 188.8 Kinda scared to weigh myself this morning cause I ate pizza last night late around 8pm, but did good through out the day. I haven't worked out since last week, I really need to get back at that and having my snacks ready for the next day.

My goals this round- get to into the 160’s!!!!!!. Drink lots of water and make exercise a priority.
1/13-170 I got a good downward swoosh!!! I so badly want to get into the 160’s.
1/14-171 a swoosh up. Back in the day, in my 20’s I could pretty much lose a pound a day if I exercised and starved myself. Its a whole different ball game now!😂
1/15-171 Dinner out with the quilters, I made wise choices but it was salty. Non stop rain; the dogs and I want to walk.

Not getting steps at the grocery store is one of my biggest pet peeves 😂. Doing a Costco run can be 3k+ steps for me!
