@deepwoodslady I'm sure you're stronger than you think. Do one thing at a time and stop to take a deep breath when things feel like they're overwhelming. You got this - all of it. Take that walk, in the midst of everything going on remember to take care of yourself.8

At first I thought this said: Dinner out with the quitters...
It made me laugh thinking- man that is a bit harsh
1/15-171 Dinner out with the quilters, I made wise choices but it was salty. Non stop rain; the dogs and I want to walk.
I am so glad you are all here!!!! Good luck!!!! 😊

SW 370.8 – Round 65 (1/13/19)
GW 362 – Jan 31st
GW 299 – End of 2019 (6.2)
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 – 370.8 – 2nd day in a row up. Unfortunately this weekend I have had eating out functions everyday. I have another one today and Pizza Tuesday. My plan for Tuesday is one piece of pizza, no appetizers and I will order a big salad if a salad is not ordered. I eat out a lot on weekends, so sodium is high. I will drink plenty of water next two days and I hope to be down again by Wed.
01/14 – 371 – I lost 2.8 pounds at WW today! Yay! Got in my 7000 steps yesterday. Was not a blue dot day. This week I am going to do better with the blue dot days M-F for sure starting today.
01/15 371.2 – I did 7000 steps, got in 6 hours sleep, not a blue dot day. And so far I don’t think today will be a blue dot day. So in 2 days gained about a half a pound. Got to put the breaks on…..

”Consistency over a day - no problem. Consistency over a week - ehh. Consistency over a month is hard. Now think about consistency over six months or a year. That takes grit, accountability and preparation.”— Author UnknownRound 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

ok, so I keep getting woo'd.... I thought maybe it was someone who thinks woo meant woooohooo! (like I did), but then I looked, and I am the only one getting a woo...... Is it something I said?
I've gotten a "woo" in other rounds and I think it's just someone new who doesn't realize that mfp considers it a negative. I really believe they're cheering you on and impressed with your loss.

01/13 190 - I’m getting back into the swings of things again by cutting out sugar & processed junk.
01/14 188 - I’m starting the day out right with some black coffee & I'm looking forward to the gym this afternoon.
01/15 185 - This week & this challenge are starting out well. I’m very pleased! No gym yesterday as I feel run down, like I’m fighting a cold. I’ve decided to pay close attention to my eating & listen to my body.

@AR10at50 Nice to know there are other quilters in here. My mom is a quilter, but not as much as she used to. I have dabbled some in quilting with her help. Made a rail fence baby quilt a couple years ago. Do you hand or machine quilt? Mom used to hand quilt but just cannot do it anymore.4

Back again for another challenge. Stayed at 150 something for the last 4 days of round 64. Looking forward to breaking into the new decade. My body seems to be having a pretty hard time of letting go of the 150’s. My round 64 end weight was 150.2. My goal for round 65 is going to be 148. Hopefully I see a nice whoosh in this round since last round I didn’t really get anywhere. Although I did get back to my pre-Christmas weight and had my lowest 10 day average so far. So I am taking those both as wins and moving on.
1/13 - 151.7 this must be the bounce from Friday nights beers and food. We were just celebrating it being Friday and being done with last week. Did well yesterday and plan on doing the same today. Probably will be back down tomorrow.
1/14 - 154.3 so my plan was going great until about 6 when we had some unexpected old friends show up. Drinks and a very late dinner. Water and a healthy lunch and dinner is what I have in store for today. I will be back down tomorrow. I always gain a couple of pounds after a night of drinking. I was really irritated with my results last week, so I was felling sorry for myself. Today I'm back on the wagon. Clean eating, lots of water, and no alcohol till Saturday.
1/15 - 151.6 and back down. Lol, did great yesterday. On track today so far. 2 of my kids had dentist appt yesterday, the other 2 had them today. Didn’t get fast food for myself either day, so that’s a win. Yesterday was the last time I will have to accompany my 2nd oldest to an appt. He will be 18 in a couple of weeks, so another win for this week. 2 kids over the age of 18 (in 2-1/2 weeks) and 3 to go. It goes by so quick I swear. Now if I could just see a 140 something on the scale this week it would be a 5 star week for me!

@quiltingjaine I usually weigh, measure or guesstimate, lol, depending what it is. But the days that had me baffled are days that I actually know what I consumed. My calorie burn could have been off, but not enough to take me out of a decent deficit. Just one of those weird things I guess! 01/13 185.6 well, off to a good start. I feel like I'm in a pretty good "zone" right now with my eating. Today's focus is to drink all my water. However, I have a trip coming up Thursday and that's always really challenging to stay on track when you can't control your food as well. Automating things as best as I can for good results.
01/14 186.6 BF 41.0% carrying some extra water apparently, I had a higher carb day yesterday (lentils and ham for dinner) so maybe that's why. stayed on plan today except for one glass of wine after dinner which overall is not too bad. we'll see how the scale is tomorrow I suppose!

It's funny because I really don't much like push ups, but I viewed it as something that would be very challenging and help me improve upper body strength. Both things have come true! If anyone is interested, this is the challenge I'm doing: https://hundredpushups.com/test.html

Just a bit of background. I own two small businesses. I am proud to have worked very hard to have accomplished this on my own as a divorced single mother raising my children. I bought these prior to my second marriage. I live at one location. The other is about 1/4 mile away. My (now) adult daughter manages that location with her fiancee and my 3 young DGS's. Both are motel/cabin rental businesses. Yesterday the neighbor at the other location decided (while drunk) to put some yellow plastic thin rope (practically crafting rope) around his HUGE dead oak tree and chop it down. It was located about 8 feet from the edge of my motel building. As he roped it up my daughter called a local tree service person nearby to hurry come check it out. The man tried to persuade him not to cut it, it was a dead tree and would easily crack and he would lose control. The rope was wrong and he needed a bucket truck for a dead tree, not a rope anyway. It must be cut in small sections from the top when dead. And the location....... He cursed that he has insurance and continued to rope it around. Of course my daughter began to take pictures while the tree was still standing and with the bad rope around it. He notched it and cut. It fell full force onto the roof of my building that has the beautiful new (and expensive roof) and put holes large enough for a man to fall through. Instant gas leak. Tree bent vent pipes. Tree stuck on roof. Roof line ruined, soffets ruined. gutters ruined. Stress cracks inside the room straight below on walls & mouldings. After getting the gas company to turn off the gas, and fixing it before any rooms could freeze (yes we had customers and yes, it is Northern Michigan running well below freezing). When they turned the gas back on and tried to light the pilots in all the units (whole motel was shut off) the 2 end units directly under the tree would not light or get gas. Problem was another major gas leak in the attic which shut down two rooms completely (the huge money making suites). Gas off again, shut-offs put in so the rest of the motel could get gas. Pilots re-lit except for Suites 6 & 7. By 11:00 last night a company about 2 hours away came to us here in the middle-of-nowhere to put in multiple electric commercial heaters to keep the units warm so the pipes would not freeze and cause chronic damage (yikes, we sit on a slab with pipes under building!). Tree was removed by tree service. Roof was shoveled off today of snow and large tarps were attached. Tomorrow pipe fitters are coming in to fix the gas pipes in the attic, then the real work begins of the roof repair. Are the trusses broke? Don't know yet. But the plywood is shattered and the damage is bad. The business losses for rental alone are bound to be tremendous. And his insurance......????? What insurance???? Does he even have any? He refuses to produce it or even to name his insurance company. The man actually got up on my roof with a chainsaw running and said he was going to fix it all. Drunk! We asked him to come down (the tree was still up there too) but he just kept cutting. Finally, after another call to the authorities, the state police arrived and "trespassed him" so that he cannot come back over to our side without getting in trouble.
I can only thank God that most of my guests had checked out prior and that no one was hurt. I'm also thankful that my family is okay. The building was shook so hard that it was felt from one end to the other and the Gas company even said that all the clamps holding the gas pipes to the building had been rattled loose from one end to the other. They said it likely fell with the force of about 10,000 pounds of impact! A business insurance claim is a whole new area for me. Feeling a little lost while trying to remain professional. I wish my DH was here instead of in heaven. I could use his help about now. I don't look forward to staying neighbors in such close proximity with this man & his wife. My insurance has already said they go after the neighbor (or their insurance if they have it) to be reimbursed for my coverages. My deductible is $1000.00 so I'm not sure how that works either.
I suppose I will get through this the way I get through everything, but it is a bit easier knowing you are all thinking of me. BTW, I did fit in that walk. Tonight I will do a little aerobic dancing and try my best to stay on track and mitigate the damage I did to my plan yesterday. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and the prayers.14 -

01/13 -- 153.5 -- Happy scale day! .5 below pre-Christmas weight! Some of the loss (and gain last round) probably due to TOM.
01/14 -- 153.5 -- So nice to see this number repeat. I think the bloat is mostly gone.
01/15 -- 154 -- (got 153.5 at first and stepped on it again. Got 154 for my trouble, and the scale stuck with it!)
