Total Lost to Date: 35.2
Daily Goals: Smarter choices, that I still enjoy
Long Term Goals: A healthy lifestyle I can maintain
Short Term GW: 199.9 by 6/2 - achieved
Short term GW2: 182.6 by 11/1 - achieved
Short term GW3: 170.0 by 1/7/19 - date not met, still working towarads it though!
UGW: 155ish - by April 2019 - this date will most likely be pushed out too and thats ok with me!
01/13 - Sunday - 176.8
01/14 - Monday - DNW
01/15 - Tuesday - 175.0 - I considered sitting this round out. My mental health is taking a beating at the moment with work related things for both me and DH. NOT focusing on that stress though. Only solutions. And I realized that burying my head in the sand and ignoring my own physical health would only be feeding the stress monster, not solutions. I do plan to give myself some grace this round and not push as hard - My mom, grandma and myself are going on a Spa sleepover for grandma's 85th birthday Thursday/Friday! Good genes on that side of the family! Timing could not be better. So, taking things one day, one step, one foot in front of the other at a time.
01/16 - Wednesday - 176.0 - TOM is due Saturday but we also have been TTC this month - so not sure if I'm extra hungry with TOM actually due or if I we did perhaps conceive this month - I'll find out soon enough. Just hoping that if TOM does come it waits til after mini vaca. Either way I was just so hungry last night. I kept trying to reign it in but I was like the hungry caterpillar, little of this, little of that on and on. I'm going away tomorrow and wont be home til Friday night so no weigh ins and unplugging. Really really really working on my attitude at work, because I chose how I react to situations, not the situation getting a desired reaction out of me! It's really hard to be positive sometimes, but after all, most good things don't come easy.

My original weight was 228, managed to lose about 30 lbs, but then gradually gained to 209. And am now having troublet to keep below 200. I would love to be, eventually, 170.14 -
This is round 2 for me! I love doing this.
SW: 294
CW: 282.6
GW: 150ish I think I felt best at this weight.
01/13 282.6 and down a total of 11.4 pounds since Jan 1, have only eaten bad once in that time and I’m finding it easier everyday to follow my lifestyle plan. I’ve started to incorporate exercise as well so I’m hoping to really see some pounds fall off this week.
01/14 282.2 was so sick today. Ugh. I will swear to it that my humidifier made me ill but who knows. So, no exercise today and TONS of schoolwork. This semester is going to be hard especially since I’m going back to working full time. I just have to stay focused on that and losing weight. I know I can do this.
01/15 282.0 What a slow week. Still feeling pretty grungey but so much better than I did yesterday. Going to attempt a workout today. My husband got those Bluetooth boflex weights and they have a ton of exercises to do on their app. Been a long time since I’ve lifted so I certainly want to take it slow. Hope everyone else has a good day, I’ve noticed the thread has really quieted since the last one.
01/16 281.0 Feeling even better today. Did an arm workout yesterday called “Armageddon” and boy am I feeling it today. My arms are jello! Luckily all I have to do is some school work. Feeling really good about myself right now. Just, good. You know? Like I’ve finally got ahold of my life again and I know I can do this. I’m so disappointed I let myself get so out of control again but I got this.
**Just after I thought today was getting better my period comes out of no where and 9 days early which puts me at a 20 day cycle. So frustrating.

01/16 -- 154 -- I'm ok with this. Went out for lunch with a friend and had a gyro with the pita. Bit of a carb binge when I got home, but within my exercise calories. Interestingly, I could tell the difference of eating more carbs yesterday, because I got hungry during my morning walk!

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

01/13 129.5 Fourth day in the 129.x range. Today DD#2 turns 46. She was 3 weeks early, according to the doctor. At 7# 9 oz, I’m glad she didn’t wait! The doctor thought it was false labor and told Carl to give me 3 aspirins and a cup of strong tea. Before I finished the tea, the cramping was about every 3 minutes. Carl called the doctor and the doctor said the emergency room would be waiting for me! Someone was at the door to whisk me away while Carl took DD#1 to the sitter 2 blocks away. By the time he got back beautiful DD#2 had arrived. 21 minutes from door to done! I always thought it was interesting that DD#1 was born at 5:08 and DD#2 was born 5 hours and 8 minutes later (plus 2 years and 9 days.) I often wondering what time #3 would have been born, had there been a #3. My mind is weird! Happy birthday
**01/14 128.5 I don’t think I posted yesterday. I was busy in the kitchen all day getting ready for company for dinner.
01/15 129.5 We had friends for dinner last night. I tried 2 new recipes one for Garlicky Butter Parmesan Pork Chops and one for Blood Orange Rum Cake, both Keto. Then I also made the ketofied version of Boston Market butternut squash and the not even close to Keto dinner rolls I always used to make. I think it’s been 2 years since I made those. I ate 3 of them, in the past I would have eaten lots more. I’m still (barely) in nutritional ketosis so time to get back on track. Less than 2 qt of water.

Here's my best tip when it comes to homemade soup-type meals. Weigh and log everything you put in. When it's all cooked weigh the final weight of the soup in grams. Then make the number of servings the number of grams. If you then have 300 grams of soup, enter it as 300 servings. This is by far the easiest way I've found to do soup.
Weighing a full pot of soup can be problematic, so what I usually do is dish out regular servings and weigh those and write them down. Then if I am putting some in the fridge, I weigh that and add together all the weights to figure out the total weight and therefore the total servings. So if I have a serving of 300 g and my husband has a serving of 300 g and I'm putting 1000 g into the fridge, it's a total of 1600 servings and I ate 300 servings. It sounds weird but it works!8 -

1/13—216.6—Excellent. I was afraid yesterday's number was a fluke and that I'd bounce way high again. Yesterday, at the very end of round 64, I managed 31 push ups. I'm nearly 1/3 of the way to my end of year goal of being able to do 100 push ups in a single set. Losing more weight would likely help me with that goal!
1/14—219—Least shocking spike ever. I didn't eat well yesterday but had a true salt fest.
1/15—217—It'd be interesting to see where this number would be if I could stop eating salt-laden snacks. Bah!
1/16—218.4—I have no explanation other than a slightly earlier weigh-in. Huh! Still, I'm feeling pretty good.

01/13 - 203.7 (5839 steps) – Today is my 1st full day here in this challenge. Didn’t make it to the barn to ride yesterday. We got lots of snow. Zero structure to my day. Could have been a potential problem. I had 2 meals still leftover from last week’s meal prep so, I used those for lunch/dinner. Rode the recumbent bike in the living room for a total of 50 mins (10.05 miles). Still allowed myself room to have a pint of Halo Top.
01/14 – 204.8 (6813 steps) – Sundays are the laziest day of my week. This was no different. We got 3” of snow and I did NOT want to leave the house. I slept in late and was a couch potato. I stayed in the green with my calories and even did 37 mins (7.77 miles) on the bike. I was able to meal prep lunch/dinner for the work week. Hopefully leaving on Friday for a weekend in KY with my Mom.
01/15 – 203.5 (7480 steps) – I ate all 3 of my meals at work yesterday seeing as I had to work a 10 hour day. It felt better to have dinner consumed BEFORE I got on the road for my hour drive home, plus 2 errands to run in the middle. I wasn’t tempted for a quick drive-by dinner or a crappy quick meal when I got home (at 7:30pm). Win! I squeezed in 33 mins on the bike (6.9 miles) before hitting the sack. All in all, it was a good day.
01/16 – 203.5 (6788 steps) – Successful food planning at work yesterday, despite the stress & chaos. Logged all 3 of my meals before I even ate them. No cravings when I got home. No mindless snacking. Rode the bike while watching NCAA basketball (45 mins – 9.61 miles). This weekend is going to be tough. Going out of town to my Aunt/Uncle’s house in KY and just found out there was a death in my Aunt’s family today so, there will be LOTS of company and food while we are there. This will be my first “test” since starting over.

Hi everyone! Can I join this late in this round? I've been weighing but have missed 2 days in this round. DH is away for the next 10 days, so it's a good time to stay on track without having someone else to side track me!
I'm also in the Biggest Loser challenge on MFP but just want to get into weighing every day and writing it down for everyone to see.
Background, I'm 51, 5'2", Mum of 2 grown boys, wife of 1 husband! After turning 40, I started WW, then started running, completed several marathons and 1/2's but moved across state 18 months ago. It took its toll, I stopped running, and put on 40#. Ugh. Finally getting back in to tracking every day, walking and just generally being aware of what I'm eating - the numbers!
Interim goal is 164 - I will have moved from 'obese' to 'just fat' on the BMI scale. I know that's not the gold standard, but it's a number I want to fix ASAP.

01/14 170.6 My weekly weigh in day. Walked as above.
01/15 Had pasta for dinner . Walked as above.
01/16 171 For the first time in a very long time, I logged in just over my base of 1200 cals. And I'm surprised I don't feel any worse for it - not starving or deprived of anything. Walked as above.

Round 64 weight loss: 1.5 kg
SW: 72.4 kg
GW this round: 70.4 kg
UGW: 50 kg
Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 - 72.1 kg So last night was awful. Not only did I stay up until 2 am reading, but I allowed myself to pig out at about 1230 on all sorts of stuff. For some reason I just got really hungry at that time and no matter what I ate, wasn’t satisfied. The rest of the day was pretty low calorie though, and I think that not eating until 11 or 12 in the afternoon is making it harder to avoid snacking late at night. I see two solutions to this problem: either eat more during the day, or go to bed earlier! Going to bed is probably the best option as I am making sure I am eating when hungry. With all of that said though, I had a really active day yesterday with 7000+ steps and an hour of playing soccer with my family. I am hoping that the snacking last night won’t bit me in the butt tomorrow. On a NSV note though, I have been alcohol free now for 10 days, and it is a lot easier than I thought it would be!!
01/14 - 72.0 kg Eating was mehhh yesterday, but one plus was not late night snacking. Still working on getting to bed earlier. Didn’t do much in the way of exercise yesterday, so I am looking to get at least an hour in today.
01/15 - 72.5 kg
01/16 - 72.2 kg Awful day yesterday. It was my sons birthday and I once again was recovering from a very long night. I made the decision to break my dry spell and had some wine. I woke up this morning remembering why I was doing the dry January in the first place. I can’t seem to have just one drink. I think I will be sticking to my dry spell from now on, because I hate waking up feeling like I do right now. Today I plan on getting an eating plan in place and prepping food and doing a long workout in the gym this evening.
01/17 - 73.1kg yesterday was good until dinner. I ;panned my food and prepped it, even managed to bring it to my daughters gymnastic class so I could have dinner there. Unfortunately, I ordered a pizza for her and I was starving by the time we got it, and I just couldn’t resist the pizza. Needless to say, 4 slices later and then leftover brownies later that night, and I’m not surprised by this gain. However, I did go to the gym and did my 2nd day of StongLifts 5x5. Hopefully the gain is temporary and I will see a drop tomorrow.

@smile_laughter Someone several rounds ago mentioned drinking tea at night to combat late night snacking. Thanks for mentioning it in your plan. I'll be making a cup in just a few minutes. Love these ideas and reminders, thanks!
@milktruckd62 Thanks for the update on your A1C and congratulations on the 6.2 . What an incredible feat! I am so proud of you and all those positive changes you have made. I plan to humbly follow in your footsteps and I hope to continue to see improvement too!
THANKS TO ALL OF YOUR WELL WISHES. TODAY WAS A BUSY DAY AGAIN WITH THE EMERGENCY. I HAVE DONE FAIRLY WELL ON DIET BUT NOT AS MUCH MOVEMENT AS YESTERDAY BECAUSE I WAS ON A LOT OF ADMINISTRATIVE (SITTING) DUTIES TODAY. IT'S LATE, BUT I STILL PLAN ON DANCING SOME TONIGHT SINCE THERE IS never ever EVER A BAD TIME TO GET FIT!!!7 -
01/13 - 131.9 (Yesterday was cheat day. The eating was not pretty. I'd felt pretty deprived on strict keto for 10 days. worked out and maintained good water levels. But back in the game today.)
01/14 - 131.6 (Good day of eating)
01/15 - 131.6 (Worked out hard, kept my carbs under 20g and calories under 1400. Drank 3l or water.)
01/16 - 130.6 (Worked out hard, kept my carbs under 20g. In the middle of monthly bloat)

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13:235.5. I ate 2100 calories. Today was a rest day from lifting weights, but I still walked for 60 minutes. Still struggling to get my daily calories into a lower range. When I first started dieting a few years ago, it was very easy for me to only eat 1500 calories per day. I’m not sure what happened to that mindset.
01/14: 235.5. I did much better with dieting today. 1600 calories. 40 minute workout and 60 minutes walking.
01/15: 235.0. 1950 calories. 35 minutes lifting weights and 70 minutes walking.

01/13 245.8 - not sure what happened here as I ate within my calories. I’m sure it must be water weight or something but onwards and upwards (or downwards!) Going to start my couch to 5k today so will see what happens.
01/14 245 - went for my first run well jog /walk and I was exhausted. I feel so much better now I’m exercising. Food wise I was on track and really trying to whole foods only with no added things.
01/15 243.6 - nutrition was on point yesterday. I’ve really noticed how sweet natural food is tasting. I did roast veg yesterday and the onions were like candy! Who would have thought it. Love them. Of for my second run/jog later and actually looking forward to it!
01/16 242.8 - that's 13.6 lbs in 2 weeks! I am super happy and can't wait to see what happens next. I also did my second day of couch to 5 k and managed to run/walk my way around 3k. Eating was on track and my jeans are even starting to feel loose.

They had a draw for ten x 10hr Boditrax courses at a 90% reduction (£30 instead of £300), and I won one of them. We get 10 weeks temporary membership at the centre, a Boditrax health/fitness analysis at the beginning, 10 x 1hr sessions with a personal coach, and another analysis at the end to see how we have done. It's just what I need to make the final, push to my Ideal goal weight.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 11st 8.0lb No change today, but slightly earlier weigh in. Looking for similar loss this round if possible.
01/14 11st 8.2lb Later weigh in, not that it's done me any favours. Had less than allowed MFP calories yesterday. I was going to go for a walk today but the weather looks miserable outside. I really need to reset my bedtime and getting up time so that I start having normal days again.
01/15 11st 8.2lb No change to weight. I went to bed 3 hours earlier than yesterday, but it didn't help that much as I couldn't sleep for ages even though I'd fallen asleep on the sofa for an hour before I went to bed. Was restless much of the night. Despite coming in at less calories again and actually getting out yesterday for the walk I still haven't had a loss. Disappointed.
01/16 11st 8.2lb Still no change. I ate slightly under calories again - my trend weight is not looking good at all.
01/17 11st 7.6lb Finally a 0.5lb loss which takes me just 0.2lb lower than I was 10 days ago. Oh well, no one said this was going to be easy! I'd like to be at least 1.5lb lower this round.

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13- 220.6- Been doing well with moderating my alcohol intake for the last week and monitoring food. Also I have been making an effort to stay fairly active. Today I am aiming to not snack and to get a long walk in later with the dog. Good luck everybody X
01/14- 220.0- A good day yesterday, been out walking for 2 hours this morning though because I was pushing a buggy the Fitbit didn't log all the steps. It's a low calorie day today, feeling very in control at the moment X
01/15- 221.0- yesterday was very successful, 15,000steps and stuck to my calorie goals, hopefully the scales will show the drop tomorrow. Today I am aiming to stay under 1500cals, not many steps but il make up for it tomorrow x
01/16- 219.4- Yesterday I ended on about 1900cals which is 400cal more than what I was aiming for, I stayed up too late and then snacked when I really should have gone to bed. Today is a low calorie day, plenty of walking, just done a food shop so I'm set up for success for the next week X
01/17- 219.0- Going in the right direction, I smashed through yesterday's goals and when I got tired I actually went to bed instead of grabbing the nearest sugary snack. Today I would like to stay under 1500cals and get some housework done. It's chilly outside but I will be focusing again on steps tomorrow X

Day/Weight/Comment
01/13 – 199.3 – same weight as yesterday. I logged all food, walked 3 miles, but also ate the extra calories, drank all my water, and no alcohol.
01/14 – 198.7 – YEA! Didn’t walk yesterday but stay below my calories. No alcohol for the whole weekend.
01/15 – 198.6 - Had Mexican and a beer last night, but wasn’t too far over the my goal. Still recorded all food, walked, and drank my water.
01/16 – 198.6 – Yesterday was good – logged food, walked, drank water, and no alcohol. Now the tough part. I’m traveling for the next few days. No scale and need to stay strong.
01/17 – so scale today (not at home), but I did record all my food and didn’t have any alcohol. Walking wasn’t a lot, but a some and I should have drunk more water.
