02/07 168.8 - yay! i’ve been eating mostly clean the last few days and doing my isagenix shakes mainly for breakfast and lunch... i’m up early today-5am and motivated. Need to either get to the gym or go to my basement for a workout. There was an ice storm yesterday so usually i would lean to the gym but basement is looking good when i think of the roads.
Also 168.8 has been my “all time” low since I started this year... So I really really want to move past it and down to the low 168s and then 167!
02/08 169.8 - Feeling so defeated and frustrated. Up a pound??? wtf??? I feel like i did everything right yesterday except I didn’t follow my diet by the book. I went off the rails with a pad thai lunch instead of shake or bar. But i went to the gym in the morning so thought i had wiggle room there.

05/02 So I am just back from my holiday in Gran Canaria, I missed Round 66 due to the holiday and being ill, still a little unwell but had some weigh in details on my trend app so have taken the figure from that. Big swing today is from very sodium-laden pizza last night as got home later than expected and I haven't had a chance to meal prep over the weekend since I got back, just easing back into it this week, as always struggling to get back into a routine. So trying to focus just on averaging calories over the week this round. I will get back into my fitness routine next week when I am feeling a little less run down.

06/02 Good day calorie-wise but low on protein, will bring the average up over the week. Took my bike out for it's first spin to work yesterday - didn't die - so that's an NSV for the week

I have my pole dance class this evening and a lot of walking to do today from work then to/from pole class which is about 10km in all.

07/02 Yesterday had a very active day 10km of walking (with a little jog also), 2 hour Pole Therapy Class and about a further 3000 incidental steps on top of that, seem to be back in the swing with my deficit again, need to get back to my macro focus next week.

08/02 Had a terrible night's sleep last night which has resulted in me being ravenous today so going to try and volume eat at dinner and bulk out my meal with as many veg as possible. Still feeling DOMS from pole class, a little uncomfortable but in a good way. Probably TMI but whilst I've been ill my BMs are all to pot which could also be a reason for the lack of movement on the scale, can't blame the scale batteries, changed them yesterday

02/02 – 144 – I had a very stressful day at work, culminating with the office landlord deciding to change out the ceramic tile in the lobby right outside my office door. 4 hours of a jackhammer banging on tile. I couldn’t leave because I’ve got 9 corporate tax clients sitting on my desk. After I gave the owner a piece of my mind, he sent the workers home for the day. When I got home, I took my cue from @deepwoodslady and played some heavy metal music on my Alexa and danced while I did dishes. Although I can see the irony, that music can really relieve some stress and I burned some extra calories.
02/03 - 144 - I'm sick again with a chest cold and so my husband made some good homemade food for us today. My weight will probably be up tomorrow, but it will be worth it.
02/04 – 145 – No surprise, I had less than 2000 steps in yesterday since I spent a good portion of the day in bed. The good news is that I’m feeling better and am able to come into the office. Back to the food logging, water, and steps.
02/05 – 145 – I was hoping all the water I drank yesterday would get rid of that pound, but I should know by now that’s not how my body works. A former co-worker is stopping by the office today with samples from her cupcake business. I am budgeting my calories for ONE mini cupcake. I’m posting this to keep myself accountable, because her cupcakes are incredible.
02/06 – 144.5 – The weight is slowly heading back down. I did manage to eat only one mini cupcake yesterday.

02/08 – 142.5 – I think my scale got "stuck" on this number this morning. I'll believe it if I see it again tomorrow. I’ve still been sick the past couple days with bronchitis and although I ate very little on Wednesday, I made up for it yesterday. I went to the Dr. on Wednesday and got some antibiotics, so I’m hoping I’ll keep getting better and be able to start getting my steps in.

2/2 - 237.4 - walked 1+ miles 3x, bike 12 min, steps 12873, 80oz water, track, V, AF; Developed a schedule for daily/weekly routine for the first 4 months of retirement that includes exercise every morning and then weekly - meal planning + grocery list, anti-procrastination projects, vacation planning, gardening, culling through boxes of pictures, spanish lessons etc. Setting the time aside.
2/3 - 237.5 - walked 2.5 miles before brunch, steps 12373, 80oz water, track V, AF; Wonderful brunch which included Chantilly cake to celebrate my retirement. I believe this is the last celebration but of course will not be the last food challenge in 2019.
2/4 - 236.7 - walked 3.5 miles, steps 12171, 80oz water, track, V, AF It was a good day.
2/5 - 237.4 - walked 2 miles, 15 min bike, steps 13601, 48oz water, track, V, AF It was a good busy day. Don’t get discouraged that the scale went up … keep focused.
2/6 - 237.8 - walked 2+ miles, yoga, planks, hand weights, gardening, steps 14056, 64 oz water, track, V, AF. Snacking and 2nds on pasta were my downfalls.
2/7 - 236.7 - walked 4+ miles, 15 min bike, steps 15560, 64 oz water, track, V, AF. Felt like I accomplished a lot today. Anti-Procrastination Day!
2/8 - 236.3 - walked 3+ miles, yoga, planks, hand weights, steps 13843, 80oz water, track, V, 2 glasses wine. Bunco and held it together. Helps that the hostess is doing WW and everything was healthy/low cal.

02/02—215.8—This was a very late weigh-in.

02/03—215.2—Also a later weigh-in than normal. Did a ton of exercising yesterday and was basically a single meal all day at a great Mexican restaurant.

02/04—216—Early weigh-in. Had a good eating day. Did another round of my push ups challenge. I'm a little achy today in my shoulders and my head. Bleh. My head feels like a sinus issue. BLEH! Oh, I'm complainy!

02/05—215.6—I was half expecting a gain despite being within calories. Lots of different weigh-in times this round so it's harder to discern a pattern. Tonight, I'm hoping to try another push ups test to see if I can do 45!

02/06—216—I feel like a hovercraft hovering over this number!

I didn't do the push ups last night. I felt an all-over ache that just made me think I needed to get some more rest. Tonight's the night!

02/07—214.4—I DID 46 PUSH UPS IN A ROW LAST NIGHT. Of course, my reward is that now I have to do a harder workout...

This was an early weigh-in so I'm very pleased at the number on the scale. Got a lot of exercise yesterday between cardio and strength. Plank jump-ins are rather evil.

@mamarh don’t be discouraged!! It might just be the amount of salt in the Pad Thai. Happens to me too whenever I eat something saltier than normal (or like yesterday, more sugar than normal). It’ll go away

You probably are retaining a bit more water because of the pad thai and the gym exercise. When we first change our eating habits, many of us lose a lot of water weight (which isn't fat) and many of us will gain that water weight right back if we deviate from our plans. But that doesn't mean we aren't losing fat. Water is not fat!

Weight loss is not linear, and a lot of that has to do with water. Some days we have more of it in our systems, and some days we have less of it. Demanding a loss day after day will make you very frustrated. Instead, you should be looking at your trends. Try averaging a week or 10 days and see which direction you are heading.

You can do this! Remember, the scale gives you data. It's your tool, not your enemy!

02/02 - 201 (2380 steps) I’m not gonna lie. I was a complete slug on Friday. We got 6 inches of snow and I didn’t go to work. I didn’t exercise. I was wayyyyyy over on my eating. It was more of an 80/20 day. Not a complete blow out. I just needed a break for a moment. Now I’m back on track!!!

02/03 - 199.9 (7331 steps) I rode Spark for 45 mins on Saturday at the barn. I avoided bagels and donuts brought by other clients. I didn’t binge when I got home. It was a good day but, I am sore!

02/04 - 201.3 (6074 steps) 31 mins on bike (6.84 miles) Just call me a yo-yo this past weekend. On Sunday I did really well until mid-afternoon and then I just wanted to eat!!! What the heck? So I did but, I know Monday is meal prep day after work and I can usually do sooo much better on weekdays. I can get over my weekend hump. No problem. I got this.

02/05 - 200.7 (5994 steps) 35 mins on the bike (7.52 miles) Yesterday was Meal Prep Monday. I got caught up on making food for the week. This week is pork chops and Fusia chicken fried rice (both from Aldi). Feeling in better control of my hunger.

02/06 - 200.2 (6421 steps) 41 mins on bike (8.54 miles) Tuesday was an okay day. Stressful at work but, that isn’t anything new. I work in a VERY hectic occupational medicine office and I am the only one who does what I do for 2 providers and all our workers comp patients. Ugh! Did a bit more meal prep. Not sure how far it will get me but, it’s better than not being prepared and eating like an idiot.

02/07 - 200.7 (6902 steps) 43 mins on bike (9.09 miles) Had dinner with my girlfriends at a sushi place. It was an 80/20 day and I am okay with that. As long as I don’t do that all the time, I should be okay. Got a call to dog sit this weekend for a family going out of town. Need to plan what to do for meals. That’s usually when I scavenge and lose all control.

02/08 – 198.8 (3405 steps) Thursday I got home after work with a terrible headache which probably would have evolved into a migraine. Think I have a bit of TMJ starting on the right side. This round covers my pill break (02/01-02/08), due to PCOS I can have a lot of water weight increase. I'm willing to eat up to maintainance some days, if needed - basically giving myself extra leeway to cope with period cravings!

02/03: 319.5 (+0) Yay for consistency.
02/04: 318.75 (-0.75) Going the right way, surprised as I'm feeling bloated as hell today.
02/05: 317.75 (-1) Wooshing! Feel like death today though.
02/06: 318 (+0.25) Happy enough, staying stable, and feeling better today again. Fish and chips tonight for my brother's birthday, will be nice! Babysitting my nephew too for a couple of hours.
02/07: 318.5 (+0.5) Earlier weigh and a gigantic meal last night, within my calorie goals though so should all even out. Yoghurt with fresh banana and a cup of tea for breakfast though, should start my day well without being too heavy. Expect to be down again by the end of the round. Had a lovely time yesterday though!
02/08: 314.5 (-4) Period was probably hiding my loss. My actual calorie deficit currently puts me at a 1.5lb/ week loss, possibly moving enough to make ~2lbs a week. Not sure how much water a person can have to lose for this whoosh! I did weigh twice to check. Very nice to see!

2/03 - 174.8 - 51g carbs, 47net carbs. Carbs were: bok choy mushroom soup, oyster crackers (If I'm going to eat crackers with soup, I need bigger ones, so that I eat less!)
2/04 - 176.4 - 28g carbs, 22g net carbs. Carbs were: salad, peanut butter, grapefruit, spinach. Pretty sure this weight is the crackers and bread from the weekend. Just before the cold snap, I came across a website with 25? low carb cracker recipes. I need to locate that link.
2/05 - 176 - 39g carbs, 33g net carbs. Carbs were: flour from fried chicken, salad, peanut butter.
2/06 - 176.6 - 26g carbs, 24g net carbs. Carbs were: salad, crackers (6)

2/07 - 177.2 - 35g carbs, 33g net carbs. Carbs were: dark chocolate truffles. Yeah. I was out all day and ate dinner past my eating window. I had a great 0g net carb day going.

2/8 = I don't know because I'm traveling. I met my friend yesterday and while we went out to eat and a movie I ate WAY better than normal. I am sure I will have a gain when i return but I still can find the positive here!! Plus I made myself get up early and use the hotel gym.

@SarahG626, oh no! TMJ is terrible. I have to wear a mouth splint for it, which has been a sanity saver. When I went to the dentist because of this terrible pain and my teeth not meeting, he said, "This can be a big problem for people who are high strung. Are you high strung?" I think my hysterical giggle clued him in.

Sometimes, I find that sudafed (the real stuff) can help with the feeling. I don't know why that would be, but it can work for me. Avoid things that involve a ton of chewing of little pieces; things like popcorn or nuts or chewing gum or little candies or similar items. That can make it worse.

I hope it clears up soon!

02/02 - 143.2 Yesterday went great! And this morning I was delighted to find myself even closer to my goal. Tonight might be challenging as I have a date. But I chose the skating rink because then I'll be getting active and I don't have to eat anything there (although I might, but I'll be sure to log!) And this guy is in recovery so I won't be drinking around him either. I think this should be pretty fun overall.
02/03 - 143.2 As of this morning I met my mini goal of 7 days in a row of yoga. Yesterday was challenging with food because I snacked instead of having meals and by 5pm I only had 130 calories left for the day so I went hungry on my date. We didn't go skating because it was too crowded and instead saw a movie. When I got home at midnight famished I had my last 130 calories. But overall I am content because I enjoyed myself and didn't break my calorie goal.
02/04 - 144 Yesterday was another great day. I enjoyed spending time with my roommate and went out with my friend. He got a bottle of this super delicious Cab called 19 Crimes, so I ended up over my calorie goal because I drank a few glasses. And even though the scale reflects my lapse in rigidity I'm not sweating it because I had a great time and I completed day 8 of yoga this morning.
02/05 - 143.4 I think I'm doing a lot right. I hope I continue on in this way. I just ordered a fitbit flex 2 on Amazon this morning. It will be here on Thursday. I'm hoping the will encourage me to be more active, take more long walks. Yoga is still going well though!
02/06 - 141.8 I woke up super dihydrated this morning, so I'm guessing this huge jump is due to that as I didn't do anything special yesterday. Or it's some kind of delayed loss, which would be great! Or it's a combination of the two, which would also be great! Today is my day off so I'll be cleaning all day. Super excited to be up and moving so much! Haven't completed day 10 of yoga yet so that's on my aggenda after breakfast 🙂
02/07 - 142.6 So yesterday I did my yoga and made sure to drink plenty of water. I'm not surprised by this number. I take it as a win!
02/08 - 141.9 y'all I'm feeling great! I feel like a data scientist with my new fitbit. Studying my baseline movement and sleep. After a week studying my baseline (til the end of this round) I'll start implementing my movement routine. Then I will be able to compare my pre and post results! I'm excited y'all!

02/02 176.9 A drop to start the round. All good. Three mile walk in the sunshine and a delicious portion controlled dinner made for a very nice night. Today and tomorrow will be limb collection and breakdown time. Probably won’t walk both days. The yard work will be enough. Happy Saturday all.
02/03 177.6 I was within calories yesterday but only because of a little yard work last night. I’m ok with it. I knew this would be a small loss after the last round. Woohoo roller coaster up
02/04 179.1 And we keep going up, but I had a VERY high sodium day yesterday with some Asian food. I did walk and do the day2 week2 of C25K, this time without stopping once so I'm happy with that. I also spent a couple of hours in the yard chopping up limbs. My shoulders and arms are sore from doing it. I thought I was working a lot of those muscles going to the gym but apparently not the ones that involve dragging huge limbs across the yard. Just have to stick to the plan.
02/05 178.5 Down is always the right direction. I am so happy to be in the 70's. I mean I'm not thrilled to be at a higher number than I was 3 days ago but I'm in a good place. I got in three chilly miles yesterday. I was going to go 4 but I was under dressed for the weather. I didn't realize the wind was gusting at 500 mph. I was so cold I almost did only one mile, then almost stopped at two miles, and I threw in the towel at three. I could not get warm all night after I got home. Turned on the gas fireplace and ran others out of the living room trying to get warm. Ended up taking a bath to finally feel warm. Woke up to freezing rain

02/06 179.1 Up again, but TOM is here and probably part of this little temporary hump in my roller coaster. I don't know how it can still sneak up on me, but alas it did... again... I only did 45 minutes at the gym last night, I was worried about the weather and left. It was sleeting. It stopped a little after I got home but this morning my neighborhood was a skating rink. No walking outside tonight - I'm headed to the indoor gym. I should do C25K day3 week2 today but right now I'm not feeling it. It may be one of those slow 3 miles but I got them in so don't look at me like that nights.
02/07 179.1 I think I will be down to my goal by the end of the round. I did not go to the gym last night. I went home early because it was sleeting again. It was a weird night, we had a house shaking thunderstorm but with freezing rain. I am so lucky to have job where I can work from home on days like today. I really want to get to the gym tonight. It will depend on the roads, otherwise maybe a cardio video? I don't know. Five days to lose the stupid water weight...
02/08 179.2 I was under in calories yesterday but the only exercise I did was laundry and cooking dinner. I didn't leave the house. I haven't walked since Monday and I can tell. I went to the gym Tuesday night, nothing Wednesday and Thursday. I feel terrible. Sitting around all day yesterday was not good for me. It was 9 degrees this morning when I cleaned off the car to come to work. Weather will NOT derail me. Even though it's Friday night and I got paid I have to go to the indoor gym to walk after work. No questions asked. I realize now that my body needs that, my mental state needs me to walk maybe more than my body. How can I be this old (months away from being 50) and just now realize how much better it makes me feel???
