02/12 143.4 I was really good last night but I did have a lot of salty food and I was feeling bloated today so this could be a combination of both. Just a fluctuation or else I don't know what I might have done wrong to earn this gain. I stayed under calories, worked out and drank 1.6 liters of water. 19,000+ steps. The past couple of rounds I haven't been coming to the group as often, although still weighing in every day but I want to make this group apart of my priority..it took so long to read the last thread and get caught up on all your progresses but I did it!
02/13 142.2 came down a little. Ate good, exercised and drank 1.3 liters of water, 8,000+ steps
02/14 141 I'M happy about this drop, super excited to keep going. Yesterday I ate under Calories, exercised and drank 1.3 liters of water and 6,000+ steps. 6th day sticking to healthy eating and watching my calories. I am dedicated to keep this up and keep going for the duration of the 10 days. No bad days this time around. Restart button is so far working good.
02/15 140.2 cheers to a steady drop! I did good yesterday, even for Valentine's day. I made my man peanut butter cups and mint thins (from scratch) since they are his favorite. While doing this, i licked no spoons and kept my hands to myself, except when they went for Apple slices I had prepared before baking to stop me from snacking. Although by the end of the night i had indulged in couple of small cookies here and a peanut butter cup there (you have to taste to be sure it's good, right?) I stopped and didn't over indulge on the treats, keeping under my calorie goal. I also opted in a vegetable plate rather then the burgers and fries I made him. Overall a nice night. Worked out good and greatful it wasn't worse then it could have been

12/02 - 229.3 lbs. 30 mins on the Wii last night. Trip to supermarket during lunch break, didn't even go down the chocolate aisle! Popped in for dinner at my Mum's last night. I had more calories than normal but still under the recommended daily allowance.
13/02 - 229.3 lbs. Same weight as yesterday. I have been out for a 30 minute walk at lunchtime today. 30 minutes on treadmill walking & running in the evening.
14/02 - 227.5 lbs. Normal day at work. Weight loss due to normal fluctuations. A tad over calories today.
15/02 - 228.75 lbs. Day off today from work refelting one of the outbuildings. Should take 3 days to complete.i don't have a manual job so this should burn a few calories.

Hi Joan, our ages, weights and goals, really similar. I have been doing this challenge for months, more on than off, including in maintenance for a while. Everyone's gotta find their happy place, but for me getting to know what the daily fluctuations do or do not mean is very freeing, and that is one reason I love this thread. I not only weigh every day, I record on MFP every day so I can get this chart. The straight lines are either trips away from scale, or deliberate self-sabotage LOL. You can see when I was succeeding, and you can see why I came crawling back
Weight varies, but I average out the weight for the round and it trends down if I am doing the right things to lose.

2/13- 166.2 Did not exercise this morning. Pouring rain and more tomorrow, so no trail walking for me this weekend - treadmill is getting tedious Calories a little over but tracked it all.
Also ordered a Fitbit Versa last night, updating from my Charge 2. Hope it's a good buy!

@ashnjackson13, I like the sticker chart! 😀 You should have seen my restart. Not pretty, but I kept going and my eating improved. Starting is what's important. The rest falls in line.8

Thank you for the encouraging words. And yes, I liked the sticker chart too! I might be far too motivated by stickers for a grown woman6 -

02/12 - 209.2 Stayed on plan today and had no late night snacks during my fasting period. Didn't drink as much water as I should have and didn't get any cardio in - but there's always tomorrow!
02/13 - 209.2 Another day on plan and no late night snacks (as of 10:30pm anyway). Almost reached my water goal today! Still have a bit of time to get some more H2O in my system, too. Busy day today so didn't get a chance to work out. Hopefully tomorrow.
02/14 - 209.2 Yet another day on plan but the scale won't budge. Hopefully tomorrow.
02/15 - 208.9 Finally the scale moved! Not by much, but I'll take it. Stayed on plan today without any late night snacks. I was just a bit short on water. Still need to work on that.

ROUND 68 (Round 13 for me)
5’5” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
GW 135 lb.
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-67 = 38.4 lb.
NSVs: Besides wearing smaller clothing and my wedding band fitting now, my blood pressure has been lower on my last couple of doctor visits and when I’ve checked it at home.
I like you folks, and I really appreciate and enjoy your company. Besides, I’m not sure I can stay on track without you!
Day/Weight/Comment
02/12 137.2 I only ended with a .2 lb. loss last round, but I’m starting this round 2.2 lb. lower than my weight yesterday. My scale likes to torment with me. On a high note, I’ve been experimenting with not logging calories, just following keto guidelines, and I think I can do it. Starting out, I had to track everything, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now. I keep experimenting with keto recipes that appeal to both me and my husband. I just add pasta or rice or potatoes to his meals. I’m trying to reach my GW by the end of this month.
02/13 137.8 Not bad, considering yesterday was a 2 lb. drop and I was up early this morning. After lunch with the Red Hat ladies, I did one tax return, then took Thor on a 6-mile walk. One of our Red Hat ladies, Ruby, celebrated her 85th birthday last week. Ruby is trim and let us know she jogs, because walking is boring. Ruby’s my new role model!
02/14 137.6 Better than nothing. Today, my hip was sore all day. It hurt when I started walking yesterday (from arthritis in back, per my doctor), but I hadn’t experienced hip pain since September, so it took me by surprise. I won’t have time to walk again until Sunday, so I should be all better by then.
02/15 137.4 Slowly, but surely. Hopefully, I’ll get below my start weight before the end of the round, but probably not tomorrow. It will be an early day to leave for a couple of concerts 2 ½ hours away. It will probably be close to midnight before I get home tomorrow evening—long day ahead. Time for bed now! Hope everyone has a great weekend of fun and relaxation, but not overeating or over-drinking! 😊

02/12: 209.2 - My son’s 6th birthday, and my 1st day on maintenance while we have a guest. Stayed under goal despite dining out for lunch and birthday cake in the evening. 🍫
02/13: 209.6 - Leftover birthday cake blew my goal out of the water. Luckily it was a small cake, so it’s gone now. It was so rich; I think I’ll be good without dessert for a WHILE! 🍫🍫
02/14: 210.6 - Not surprising, given the past two days. I need to drink more water. Went out to lunch and had a large burger, but still stayed under goal; I was too full for dinner! 🍔
02/15: 210.4 - Spent the whole afternoon at the park, including a picnic lunch. Under goal. 🌳
02/16: 209.0 - Looks like I’ve recovered from the birthday celebrations! Maybe maintenance wasn’t necessary during this visit... my appetite seems to have adjusted. 🤷🏻♀️

02/15 80.9kg it stuck. Horrible run this morning but mid term break for a whole week starts today.
02/16 80.8kg and had an unplanned, unknown ingredient butter chicken with my friend yesterday. We shared and I didn't eat any of the extras.

However, she is doing slimming world and she knows I'm dieting so shes said she'll do a slimming world friendly brunch. Not sure what that will involve but hopefully I'll have some calorie wise choices I can make.

11/02: 165.0: Goals: Gentle exercise after my intense 2 days of strength.
Not sure if the stall/increase is because of weekend food choices, increased strength training, or both. It's sometimes a trade-off situation when one decides to work on muscle toning. Looking forward to Round 68.
Round 68 ~|~ End goal: <164
12/02: 165.1: Gaols: ✅ Hmmmm... Still plateauing. Under calories but a relative rest day after Monday exertions.
13/02: 165.1: Goals: Do grocery shopping, gym session, 9000+ steps ✅. Didn't get to gym, but did some circuits at home. Fitting in the gym is problematic this week.
14/02: 164.6: Goals: Well, there it is again! Planning a Leslie Sansone HIIT workout before I head out this afternoon✅. Did w/o plus some flex/strength. Ate most of my exercise calories on Valentine's dinner 😂 so will definitely be holding water in the morning!
15/02: 164.9: Goals: 1 hour gym session ✅ plus some walking later on today. Got in several walks outside between meetings. I'm wondering if the gym session will lead to water retention again.
16/02: 165.2: Goals: Lots of walking playing ingress with my daughters.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
