It is a little high on the sodium so make sure you get your water in that day. It is great over noodles, rice, etc.0 -

Slow Cooked Curry Sausages, serve with rice
500 - 750 grams sausages ( I use pre-cooked)
2 medium onions sliced
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 440 gram can chopped tomatoes ( I use the budget variety for the
supermarkets. What ever is the cheapest.)
1 - 2 440 gram cans baked beans or chilli beans (the cheap ones again)
1 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Put the onions in the crock pot, the add the sausages. Add the tomatoes beans and curry powder and brown sugar and mix. Turn crock pot onto low and cook for 6 - 8 hours on low.

Man...there are PAGES of "Bumps" on here! Makes it a wee bit hard to find the recipes! ;p
I use the McCormick Slow Cooker seasoning packs frequently. They have ones for Vegetable Beef Soup, Chicken Soup, Beef Stew, etc. All very easy to do. I have also done chicken cooked with chipotle peppers and salsa.
You can pretty much throw ANYTHING in a crock pot and cook it together as long as you have enough liquid. Add meat + veggies + seasoning + liquid and GO!
Example: Chicken breasts, frozen mixed "Mexican" veggies, taco seasoning, and low-sodium chicken broth. Great warm, on salads, in wraps, etc.0 -
i just love crock pot recipes!!! i am definitely bumping this one. thanks everyone!!!0

HOT SAUSAGE SPAGHETTI
Ingredients:
1 32oz can of tomato sauce
1 pkg of Thick and Zesty spaghetti sauce mix
1 cup of water
1 pkg of Hot Italian Sausage (about 5)
Directions:
Add all ingredients to crock pot, set on low for about 6-8 hours.
Get home, make noodles, and mix and done!
*I used all Kroger brand ingredients and I added the sauce to the food database under Hot Sausage Spaghetti Sauce, so you will have to use the nutritional info on whatever noodle you choose.
Also...the sausage is pretty spicy, but does not carry into the sauce, so if you are serving those who do not like spicy food, just remove the sausage after cooking.0 -
