03/04 - NW - I did two episodes of Zombies, Run! and intended to do another, but I needed to finish hooking a hat together for a trip today. However, I might cancel that trip due to ice on the sidewalks; I have no desire to end up with a broken hip. I will likely instead have lunch and do a Zombie, Run! Food is doing good.
03/05 - 306.2 - WHOOOSH! - About to have breakfast. My aide comes today. So, I will go for a walk after she leaves to avoid having to pace in the apartment. I'm not allowed to leave her alone in the apartment. I'm averaging two walks a day of Zombies, Run! I just wish it would consistently pick up my steps. I've increased my steps to 7,000.
03/06 - NW - Did two episodes of Zombies, Run! yesterday. Food is okay. I'm figuring out today as it is Ash Wednesday and therefore technically a fast day, but gotta eat with some of my meds. I will be going Mallwalking today. Woot! I have considered taking advantage and doing an episode while I'm there. I don't anticipate the mall will be very busy today which helps my anxiety. I plan on walking at least two episodes today.
03/07 - NW - Mallwalking went great yesterday. The last time I attempted I lasted 12 minutes. Yesterday I walked over an hour for 2.54 miles. My first full meal of the day was dinner and unfortunately it did not stay down. I redecorated my living area before I made it to the bathroom. Today I plan to get in at least one episode of Zombies, Run! I discovered yesterday the GPS will work in the community room but not in my pocket. I also have to fast the majority of the day due to lab work at 2, and the actual appointment is at 3. I'm seeing my endocrinologist today.
03/08 - 303.0 - Got my Zombies, Run! yesterday. I'll get in at least one, aiming for two episodes. It's Friday, so it's a day of fasting and no meat. I'll still have dinner as I take Latuda and it needs a minimum of 350 calories to work. I have a couple of groups to attend today, but then I'll head back home. I'll do some cleaning today as well.
03/09 - NW - I walked one episode of Zombies, Run! yesterday and the story had an interesting turn to it. Today I plan to do two to three episodes. I struggled yesterday to hit my step and am considering not increasing it on Monday. I'm not sure another increase will benefit me at this point vs stress me out in trying to reach it right before bedtime. It's warmer today but raining so no walking outside today. Maybe tomorrow I can walk outside with a light jacket on, if it's not too windy.

Facts: age: 61, female, 5'3"
Highest weight: 198 (decades ago ... )
Current weight: 134 (highest in a year!)
Lowest weight: 122 (a year ago now -- felt great!!)
Goal weight: anything under 125! I feel so close!
3/04 -- 134.8 letting the dust settle from the weekend!
3/05 -- 134.0 Back to mindful eating! Power yoga tonight (75 minute class!) So maybe back to the 133's tomorrow...
3/6 -- 132.8 Making progress!
3/7 -- 132.3 I am so busy this week (I teach at a community college and it's the week before Spring Break -- so many things to get done!) that I'm literally not thinking about food. This is good! There are lots of cookies and muffins around -- this is bad! It's interesting -- if you just say "oh, I can't eat that!" and laugh, it's kind of empowering. I am in control of what I eat... no one else.
3/8 -- 132.2 Spring is coming -- you can feel it in the air (still cold, but sunny, and well, just a little springier out there! I am pleased with this round so far. Weekend plans all weekend, and of course they all involve eating and drinking with friends. I have to remember how close I am to wearing those summer clothes!
3/9 -- 132.2 No change -- I am aiming for 131! I am reading the Blue Zones Solution and Old in Art School (authors Dan Buettner and Nell Painter) over spring break -- they will keep me mindful! The Blue Zone Diet is really great -- I'm loving the four best beverages -- water, coffee, green tea, and red wine. I drink them all!14 -

03/04 …..189.2 ….. The same as yesterday (thank Goodness!) Here we go folks! Good luck on the new round! Yesterday’s stats: 2109 Calories In (out to breakfast) / 2374 Calories Out. 12,235 Total Steps & 5.18 Total Miles, all from my heavy Sunday work schedule. No IF yesterday. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 15 minutes. No planned exercise as I worked all day until 7:00 PM & then had a movie night at home with a friend. Another heavy work schedule today but I hope to fit in my dancing, at least. I gotta get the ball rolling here! Have a great week everyone!
03/05 …..188.9 ….. My Fitbit numbers were phenomenal yesterday! Today will not be so good. I had several sitting appointments including with my attorney but I am trying to get as many steps as I can in. Yesterdays stats: 1135 Calories In / 3090 Calories out. 8 Net Carbs. 24,128 Total Steps & 10.22 Miles !!! Yay me! 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept for 4 hours & 18 minutes. I walked at moderate pace for 93 minutes at the school. I danced for 71 minutes at home, all in one set. Sample song “Money for Nothing (I want my MTV) by Dire Straits. Much slower paced today but glad I will be food prepping although that doesn’t offer too many steps. I love my strong moments & strong days. I hope they will become more & more frequent. This winter weight has got to go.
03/06 ….. 188.7 ….. Such a slow process at times, but well worth the weight (wait lol)! Twisted my ankle yesterday doing absolutely nothing but walking through my livingroom. Spent most of the evening with it elevated. Yesterdays Stats: 1304 Calories In / 2346 Calories Out. 8 Net Carbs. 10,128 Steps & 4.28 Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept 5 hours & 13 minutes. I danced for 27 minutes. Sample song “Nobody to Blame” by Chris Stapleton. Happy hump day everyone! Good luck to all those fasting today.
03/07 …..188.9 ….. A real binge a birthday party for a friend. I have no idea how many calories or carbs but I know it was ridiculous. I’m shocked that this weight isn’t higher this morning. It may show up in a few days. Tonight is my normal Thursday night Pool & Potluck. Pray for me. Yesterday I burned 2302 Calories (but ate more I am sure). 8,488 Steps & 3.6 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Steps. No IF. Not enough water. I slept 5 hours 43 minutes. I danced a 15 minute set. Sample song “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.
03/08 …..190.8 ….. I’m sure I am out of ketosis. I will be doing an Egg/Fat Fast starting today to kick myself & body in the behind & get back going. Thanks to Tish @tiabirdie56 for the invite to the fast, I am only too happy to join her. While she started days before me & may end today, I will use this tried & true method for at least 3 days. Pool Hall Potluck went well but the cheesy potatoes were my downfall. Best guess on Yesterdays Stats: 2010 Calories In / 2520 Calories out. 179 Net Carbs (ugg). 11,341 Total Steps & 4.8 Total Miles. IF 14:10. Slept 5 hours & 23 minutes. I danced a 40 minute set yesterday. Sample song “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker (Hootie). Have a great weekend everyone. I’m going to remain hopeful & try hard to dedicate myself to the egg/fat fast. I will be thinking of all of you too.
03/09 …..189.2 ….. Down 1.6 overnight in a nice Whoosh! Egg/Fat Fast is working. I also increased my movement again big time. My level of exercise is pretty low at my age, in my region and with my overall health issues. But I rocked it in my own little world yesterday to help make this succeed. The only fail is that I was so busy & just didn’t drink enough water. I will try to fix that today. Yesterdays stats: 1115 Calories In / 3152 Calories Out. 6 Net Carbs. 21,535 Total Steps & 9.11 Total Miles. IF 16:8 . 13 /13 Fitbit Steps. I slept 5 hours & 17 minutes. For planned exercise I took a 90 minute walk inside the school (no mall here) which consisted of a 3 mile walk. I danced 62 minutes in one long set. Sample song “Sweet Home Alabama” by Leonard Skynard. Shakespeare wrote, “When words fail, music speaks. “ Have a safe & loving weekend everyone!

03/04 177.2I was super tired yesterday and I'm feeling like TOM is about to start. I went a smidge over calories but I got in a short walk too. I have a short week at work, which is nice. Tomorrow is my day off, but my son and I both have dentist appointments. Then I work Wednesday and get Thursday, Friday and the weekend off! I'm thinking of something fun to do on those days!
03/05 177 My son and I both have dentist appointments today, and I’m considering getting some walking in. Have a great day today!
03/06 176.4 I had a pretty good day yesterday. The dentist trip wasn't too terrible and I got in some relaxing. I was within calories, did not meet my step goal but did get in a 30 minute workout.
03/07 176.8 I got in lots of steps yesterday and did a short Walk At Home workout. It was snowing so I didn't feel like walking outside. 😆 Today I’m having lunch with my Mom and sister and taking my son to see LEGO Movie 2! I totally plan to bring my own snacks!
03/08 175.6 Happy surprise! I don't know why I'm surprised though. I've been within calories. I keep thinking I'm a about to "start" any day now, so I think that's why I'm surprised. I'm going to try and get my steps in even if it is lightly snowing! I'm so ready for it to warm up! Even my husband was saying is all we've been doing is coming home from work and having dinner, then watching TV or a movie. He's right. We could probably do a game night, which would be fun. When it warms up, we can get out more!
03/09 175.4 Nice! I’m going to go for my step goal today. And today…I’m going to try Chick Fil-A for the first time! I’ve already tracked it. Being gluten intolerant, fast food just doesn’t seem like an option so I don’t even think to try it. But I did see that they had some gluten free options. So cool! I’m excited!

03/04: 202.6 (I’m glad I started at a good number! I lost about 0.4 pounds since yesterday which never happens on a Monday morning. I’m hoping for a great start to the week! Last night I ate some soup and salad and did a 40 minute stepper workout.)
03/05: 201.2 (This drop was nice! I felt very energized last night to do my 2 workouts. One was 20 mins on the elliptical and the other was a core workout. I even made a nice oven fried chicken dinner too which is rare for a Monday since I usually do those on the weekend. I think all this working out is really affecting my energy level , in a good way, and I love it!)
03/06: 201.4 ( A slight increase which most likely has to do with an increase in exercise. On a weekly basis, I increase my minutes on the elliptical and the last two weeks this has been affecting my weight loss with most likely water weight because of my sore muscles. But I’ll stay the course and I’m sure one day the pounds will fall!)
03/07: 200.8 ( I did a short upper body strength training exercise last night and had a couple of slices of cheese pizza! I was very sleepy and I had a wonderful 7 hours of sleep. I’m so close to reaching my goal!)
03/08: 199.4 (wow! I’m finally in ONEderland!!! I cannot believe it. I’ve been trying to get to this number since before my wedding last July! I didn’t work out last night because I was spending time with the family. I ate BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad last night from a local bbq joint but kept the portions small. I made my goal! Let’s hope it stays this low til the 13th. I always gain on the weekend.)
03/09: 199.6 ( I always expect an increase on the weekend. I did a 45 minute elliptical workout yesterday! My planned meal last night was half a chili burger and fries with some garlic edamame and banana milkshake. SO worth it! 😋)

@jennyhoon The lifesaver for my feet is Orthoheel shoes. It helps the entire foot by having the right slopes (the wrong word?} inside the shoe to take the pressure off of troubled areas. It also helps align the ankle & the hips. These shoes saved my life since we do not have a podiatrist within 150 miles of my home. My feet healed themselves once the pressure was removed. I still wear these tennis shoes to this day, especially when walking distances. I order them online. They are about $100.00 & the price has never changed in the years I've worn them. If you have a doctor, perhaps you can ask about these, or give them a try. Such a relief!
@quiltingjaine Thanks for the link. I read some of the information contained within. The fat/beef fast sounds perfect & has been working for @tiabirdie56 Tish all week. I already started the traditional egg fast yesterday and will be continuing until Monday so I won't lose the day I've put in. However, I have bookmarked it & will use it on an upcoming Monday - Thursday as needed. Question: I don't have facebook & it says that's okay, they also use email. However, should I wait until I'm ready to do the fast to sign up or should I do it now? Any info is appreciated. Thanks for thinking of me.5 -

Back again! March is a new month and a new start. Who knew having adult children was going to be more stressful than having teenage children. February was exhausting and I did not do well with my weight at all. Ended January at 148 and ended February at 153. Between TOM, a week in Las Vegas, and my stressful children, I am ready to get back on track. My 10 day goal is to get back in the 140's no matter what, which is very doable. I know most of this bloat and water weight should come off pretty easy.
03/04 - 154.9 fourth day in a row. I am finally done with TOM as of today and back on track with food. Looking forward to getting back in the 140's, so I am going to stay strong. I had no desire or will last week and it shows. Felt terrible most of the week and was exhausted. Thank goodness I only go through that every 3-4 months. Feeling motivated and in good spirits today and that will hopefully keep me motivated.
5 pounds to go to get back to the 140's
03/05 - 154.0 I thought it would be lower. Ate very low calorie yesterday, but did cave and have a couple of beers with my hubby. I had been kind of cranky the last couple of days towards him and was finally feeling better. So when he asked if I would have a drink with him, I kind of caved. It was nice sitting there, relaxing, cooking dinner, and just talking to him. I get super moody sometimes during TOM and my hubby pays the price, lol. He is really is a good man even though he drives me crazy sometimes. So on track so far today and no alcohol tonight. I should start seeing this water weight come off. I am expecting a pretty decent drop tomorrow.
4.1 pounds to go to be back in the 140's.
03/06 - 153.0 and down another pound. Don't know why my body is holding on to this weight this week. Usually TOM ends and within 3 days I'm down like 5 pounds. I usually will have 2 days that I lose 2 pounds easily each day. Of course this month that is not happening. Maybe tomorrow I will have a pretty good drop. Ate well under calories yesterday and had no alcohol. All I can do is trust the process and stay on track!
3.1 pounds to go to get back in the 140's
03/07 - 151.1 There we go! I new I had a pretty good whoosh coming soon. Did really well again yesterday calorie wise, water wise, and still no alcohol. My son has an orthodontist appt today, daughter has a doctors appt, and I have parent teacher conferences in between. Also came to work this morning to finish up a couple of things, so should be a pretty crazy day. Hopefully can follow through with my meals that I have planned at some point and stay on track. Would love to see another big whoosh tomorrow or Saturday to get back in the 140's. My goal this round was just to get back to 148/149 something. I was there 3 weeks ago before life took over and I lost all control, lol. So far doing way better than I had been doing! 6 more days to lose 1.2 pounds to see 140's again.
03/08 - 152.3 and the roller coaster continues. I kind of expected a little bump. I never ate anything until 5:00 last night. I was so busy and didn't want to stop and go through a drive through, so I just waited. Looking back I should have stopped and I probably would have been better off. By the time 5:00 rolled around we were at the bowling alley and I was starving. I didn't go crazy, I was well within calorie goals, but not a drop of it was by any means a healthy choice. I stayed with only 1 piece of pizza, some fries, and a couple of jalapeno poppers, but I also ended up having a couple of beers. I know my water intake was awful yesterday, because I spent most of the day in a car or dr offices or meeting with teachers. So back on track today and hopefully will see a drop tomorrow. 5 days to lose 2.4 pounds
03/09 - 151.7 I’ll take it. Did well all day yesterday. No alcohol last night, which on a Friday night not to have a beer is a real win in my book. Date night with the hubby and some friends from out of town planned for tonight. Also birthday lunch for my mama today, she’s 60, so that should be fun and then taking both my daughters for mani-pedis. Plus I need to get some grocery shopping done for the week. So busy day ahead of me. I feel like I have lost a ton of my bloat finally. Still 4 days left to lose 1.8 pounds to get back in the 140’s.

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

03/03 150.6 ~ (Steps 13,743) ~ My main focus for this round is making time for myself, doing what needs to move the scale the right way. This might sound selfish but for now it’s the only thing that’s will work unfortunately, 👍🏼
03/04 149.1 ~ (Steps 9,703) ~ Tough day but successful in no LNS, yay.
03/05 149.5 ~ (Steps 11,588) ~ I decided to go get my hair cut and colored, this helped my mood tremendously 👍🏼
03/06 150.6 ~ (Steps 18,781) ~ Even though the weight is back up, I had a marvelous day hitting all my goals.
03/07 149.6 ~ (Steps 16,588) ~ Unfortunately the scale isn’t dropping even when I am doing everything right.
03/08 149.6 ~ (Steps 14,767) ~ It was tough last night not to snack.

@deepwoodslady Donna, I think I would sign up now and perhaps say you can’t join this round but definitely want to be in next month. This is the first time I’ve signed up with the group so not sure how it works with email. 5 of us did it independently last summer and I gathered our stats and sent them to Jennifer.4

Round 70
3/4 130.0 Ate El Pollo Loco 2 piece dinner (chicken, broccoli, Loco salad with dressing, no tortillas,) 2 oz dry roasted peanuts, a handful of Mac’s Pork Cracklins. Water, coffee, diet soda. Below my pre-cruise weight!
3/5 130.0 Why am I craving dills, mayo, and cheddar???
3/6 130.0 I’m 69 years old and don’t recall ever hearing of Pancake Tuesday until yesterday! I hope everyone enjoyed!! Met Amy at the gym again yesterday. Don’t know what’s been wrong with my leg/hamstring? for the last 3 months but suspect a pinched nerve. Glad it’s feeling better but don’t want to overdo!
3/7 129.5. Didn’t meet Amy yesterday but plan to today. Going to Fiesta buffet tonight (BOGO) and music after(FREE.)
3/8 130.0 Good gentle walk with Amy yesterday. I’m hoping that just keeping moving will be a benefit. Carl has an appointment with his retina specialist and our friends are joining us for lun-ner this afternoon so no gym. Wish I could transfer some of my DVDs to a flash drive or micro card so I could use them when we travel without lugging the laptop or another device!
3/9 129.5 I have a meeting in an hour. I need to get moving. Blahhhh!9 -

GOALS THIS ROUND reporting on all the "yesterdays":- under calorie goal 9/10 days: 3/10 so far
- over 10K steps 9/10 days: 4/10 so far
- three strength workouts: 1/3 so far
- five cardio workouts: 2/5 so far
3/4 - 134.6 - yesterday wildly over calories, a stress-tired-emo eating day. 5K steps.
Today starting a wellness campaign at work where my goal is 10K steps a day, 5 servings of veg and fruit.
3/5 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 12K steps including a 2 mile run with my new (canine) running buddy. Raining today, so getting steps in may be a challenge. Gonna try for 30 flights of the basement stairs at work.
3/6 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, nice walk at lunchtime. Did 20 flights of stairs, trying for the full 30 today.
3/7 - 132.2 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, did not manage any stairs since I got absolutely nailed to my desk by emergencies; however got a nice bodyweight strength workout in at home.
3/8 - 133.0 - yesterday a smidge over maint, 13K steps and a run with dogger. Fell running and got some rad rash on my knee... going to work in skinny jeans , which are literally all I have, is unappealing
3/9 -132.8 - yesterday under calorie goal, 7K steps and a few sets of pushups/crunches. Knee a little swollen and stiff but no serious damage.
I owe my strong bones to all the running I did in my 40's and 50's, and tripping while I run is the price I have paid maybe a dozen times ... not coordinated ... I feel like I will be falling in my 80's and NOT breaking bones (in spite of all my osteo risk factors), and saying, thanks younger me for getting on with strength workouts and running! Weight bearing exercise is the BOMB, and in addition, gets me a lot more calories a day to eat

Day/Weight/Comment
03/04--213.1 Went out for breakfast at my favorite place. Didn't drink much water the whole weekend...have to work on that today. Run day today.
03/05--212.9 There was some stress snacking yesterday evening, but I did get out yesterday and finish w6d2 and the run was great. Today is weight training. Working on getting in water today.
03/06--211.2 Had a great training session yesterday as it was the first time I was able to get through all 3 rounds of all of the exercises within my 1 hour training session. The first time I did the exercise routine about 3 weeks ago I wasn't even able to finish 2 rounds. Yoga tonight.
03/07--211.8 Yoga yesterday was great, but I'm tired this morning after being awoken by my sick dog throughout the night. Hubby is bringing dog to vet today. Weight training tonight, but considering how tired I am not sure how motivated I will be.
03/08--212.3 Even though I was tired yesterday I had one of my best workouts with my trainer last night, I increased weight on my lifts and time on my planks. The dog is feeling much better today, but what is even better is that over the past year after my vet told me my dog needed to lose about 10lbs, my dog has lost 12lbs. It's funny, her weight loss came from proper measuring of her food, reducing her snacks, and increasing her activity...exactly what I'm doing. Run day today.
03/09--213.6 I feel bloated today. I had eaten most of daily calories by 1pm yesterday and continued my normal eating for the rest of the day. However, I still finished W6D3 yesterday and I've already gone to the gym this morning and did my weighlifting workout. Rest of day is to run some errands and relax.

03/04 - 202.0 - Cycle day 4, adjusted macros
03/05 - 200.4 - so far, so good!
03/06 - 197.6 - this is typically where my weight rests, in the 5+/- this number. Ready to see -5 from here!
03/07 - 196.4 - I love how easily the weight drops at the beginning. I checked my glucose level this morning (my daughter has T1D) and I’m down 4-10 points, depending on the day I tested. Only 5 more to normal fasting glucose levels!!
03/08 - 195.8 - OMG!!! Fasting glucose of 92!! I really wasn’t expecting to see that this morning, but it’s confirmation for me that I’m doing the right thing. Being down 6.2 lbs isn’t so bad either!!
03/09 - 195.4 - Still doing good, still feeling good! I’ll be busy all day today, so probably limited time to even think about food!
