Do you drink diet soda?

I do! It's my one bad habit, I can't give it up. I'm not a coffee drinker, so that ice cold Diet Mountain Dew gets me going in the morning, and I usually have about 3 of the slim 16.9 ounce bottles a day. I may eventually taper down/stop altogether but one battle at a time.0

INCONCEIVABLE!!!
I don't think that word means what you think it means...4 -
I recently quit on the 1st of March all carbonated beverages and feel much better.4

I drink a can of diet dr pepper most days. I just like it. It's a nice pick me up in the afternoon and has no calories.1

It says toxins and not poison, but can I use it here anyway?!?

No. It is not good for me so I prefer water with lemon.3
-
nope, i don't touch the stuff. not cuz it's 'bad' or 'toxic', but because i hate the taste. if i liked it i'd drink it.5

Only when I'm thirsty and want something fizzy and cold. I imagine it looks something like this:

Yeah but rarely as much because If I starting drinking them I end up constantly drinking them. So I now only drink water and use it as a “treat” if I ever need a sugar kick and it now takes me about 2-3 days to finish a full bottle. I have weird eating habits now lol.1

My sugar levels are fine, have a perfectly good working pancreas - and my tummy is fine too.
I drink diet soda regularly - ever since starting calorie counting. Along with the very occasional non diet version.
Of course you can make whatever choice works for you - but blanket statements exhortations like Do your sugar level as and your tummy a favour!! based on your n=1 experience are just silly.
*repeats oft told story* sorry for those who have read this many times before...
My husband is allergic to cats.
keeping away from cats is good idea for him
Exhorting everyone to Do yourself a favour and avoid all cats!! based on his n= 1 would be absurd.

I am a type 2 diabetic , I also am 53 and have arthritis , I have so carefully watched my sugar levels and I work My keto diet very closely , it did make my stomach hurt and I usually wake up to 90 to 110 fasting blood sugar levels , the morning after the diet soda , my blood sugar was 135 , Iam not silly , I have learned my body (I have never before listened to my body) so that is why I have gained so much weight . NOW my body tells me what I can deal with and what I can't deal with , so for me and only me I do not drink diet soda . and also not drinking the diet sodas helps with my arthritis, when I use to drink them on a daily routine , my joints hurt , since I have stopped I feel better , I am not in as much pain . so You all do what you want , and drink them , but putting someone down for their personal choice is also silly .6 -

You outright told people not to drink something because of how it affects YOU with your medical history. Everyone else does not have your medical history. Tammyfranks2 was just pointing that out.7 -
Something about taking a break with an ice cold Diet Cola in the middle of they day gives me tremendous satisfaction, more so, that drinking a glass of water. We find pleasure in eating and drinking, with dieting many times we feel deprived, we have to make choices that are good for us, enjoying a diet drink will not throw me off the wagon.4

I MUST have my diet caffine free pepsi- You don\t want to see me when I am without it- I drink one each day as a treat with my popcorn or even with a plate of veggies(lol)- but anyway for ME- it is a MUST !!!0
-
Not often, but occasionally will buy myself a 12 pk of the flavored coke zero in case I get a craving at work. keeps me away from non-diet mountain dew, but for the most part I drink water.0
-
I'm a sodaholic. It took forever to get off the regular kind. I'd go mental if i didn't have my occasional coke zero1

Once in a while will have a Diet Coke as a treat. Usually avoid it tho because of caffeine and chemicals. But I do love a nice cold glass of Diet Coke over ice!5
