04/05 132.2 - yesterday woke up to rain, sleet and snow so started the day with 45 mins swimming – rain didn't stop all day – no walking !! :{
04/06 131.4 - made up for not walking on Thursday by walking almost 14 ¾ miles yesterday and 69 flights of stairs as the first half of the walk was all climbing !! It felt good !!!
04/07 132.2 - walked 13 miles yesterday. Today we headed back home. I have to say that all my life I have never returned from holiday – even a walking holiday like this one, without putting on 4 or 5 pounds! I am so grateful for the support of this ground that at the end of a 10 day holiday I weigh less than when I started it 10 days ago !!

04/06 - 203.4 - stayed the same. Happy with that as weekends are my downfall. Just need to hold on to that loss now.

04/09 - 267 - Feel like absolute poop. Emotions all over the place making me want to eat everything in sight. So fed up and stressed at the minute. Just hope I can get a bit more control back and stay here till the end of the round. Had a PT session last night, didn't make me feel much better!
04/10 - 267.6 - So today is a new day. I know my weight is up a little but I did have a bad food night last night. On the plus side my binge was NOWHERE near as big as it would have been pre MFP. And today I’m moving on from it. It’s happened, I don’t feel guilty about it, I’m not going to beat myself up about it and I’m all prepped today with chicken, mixed veg, rice, salmon, sweet potato, fruit ect.
I feel much better today and in control. I’m glad these little blips don’t have the downwards spiral effect they used to have on me. So although they still happen (but less often now) I’m taking out of it a positive that I deal with them in a healthier way now and that’s all I can ask for.

04/05 - 95.5 and 9,900 steps. Realized I have less then 3k steps on the way back from work. Had to take a 5km evening walk just to barely get over step count.
04/06 - 95.0 and 13,150 steps. Now that's a drop! Had drinks and a restaurant meal last night, though I think it should fit my calorie goal (didn't track to meticulously but basically had a light breakfast and lunch), so not sure why I see it now.
04/07 - 94.7 and 10,000 Steps. Got a new bike yesterday. Did over 22km on it and walking next to it, so I can't say how much exactly of each. Hurting in places I didn't know I had. Also it's weekend so I weighted a bit late. So some of this drop could be fake. Will try to not discourage myself tomorrow, not marking GW2 just yet.
04/08 - 95.0, 3,800 (2.5km) steps and 4.5 km bike. Now that I have the bike I can't really aim for steps only. Will still try to get 7K steps though since I consider the bike to be exercise, and moving is important throughout the day.

Last year I was in a really bad place with my mental health and always had in my head to stay in the 9 stone area in my 40s well that didn't happen but I can and will do my best to make it this year even if it is only just in the 9 stone area! Seem to have been getting nowhere. Have lost 8lb since the start of the year but just been going up and down the last few rounds and getting very frustrated. Seems so much harder than last time - something needs to change but I have to find out what and how. In my head I am blaming peri-menopause (everything is a bit hit and miss and irregular these days!!) but is that an excuse rather than a reason ?
From a motivation point of view, I so need to get under 150 and stay there - summer and my holiday is getting closer ...... so target for this round is 149lb a 1.6lb loss - aiming for slow and steady
I do have 10 clear days to get focused............3,2,1,go!!!!

04/04 - 148.6 (+0.1lb) Very happy that the big drop is staying dropped! No gym again last night as still not quite ready so did go for a (short) walk. Guess I am "in the zone" so hoping it carries on - really not sure what I have changed but going to carry on as is for now as seems to be working at the minute!
04/05 - 146.3lb (-2.3lb) Seriously ???? Over 4lb gone in 4 days having struggled for weeks and weeks. Can't go on forever so am enjoying it while I can - weight loss isn't constant but obviously all my work the last few weeks is paying off - just only showing on the scales now. All I can put it down to is that the last week I have been drinking more green tea rather than normal (english) tea and milk even though the milk was part of my daily calories - that is all that has changed. So sticking with plenty of green tea for now!
04/06 - 146.20lb (-0.1lb) - definitely wasn't expecting another big loss today! Really pleased with this as at least the loss is holding at the minute. Got in a 1hr gym session yesterday and 10k steps and feeling good at the minute. Good food day planned (including our within calories full on Sunday roast with dessert tonight!) so the scales often show a higher weight on a Monday but hoping to STS tomorrow. Target for the end of the round is adjusted to maintain this weight (although extra happy if a bit more comes off!). Happy Sunday everyone x
04/07 - 146.4lb (+0.2lb) - I will count this weekend as a success - Up 0.1lb even with Sunday roast last night, a glass of wine too and a few after dinner mints. Looking forward to this week as should be no distractions and aiming for a continued loss over the next 5 days although not going to predict anything as this round has been so bizarre! Good food day planned today although I am at work all day today rather than my usual half day on a Monday so wont get my usual Monday walk in
04/08 - 145.8lb (-0.6lb) - I am gobsmacked my weight is still dropping this round. I am feeling so much better though, bloatedness has gone and most importantly I am have been logging every single morsel that passes my lips. Not sure what I wasn't logging before so going to give the credit to the green tea I've been drinking Seeing the weight finally come off though does give me a boost and am feeling so motivated at the minute - long may it continue. 4 days left of this round yet but given up trying to set a round end target - will carry on as I am and see what happens!

Had plenty of Fruit & Veg yesterday (An apple for a snack; 1/2 Banana on my breakfast; an onion, 1/2 a cucumber, cherry tomatoes, capers and spinach in my lunch salad & veggie and chicken stirfry for dinner) plenty of fat in my breakfast and lunch. I did go a little OTT with some of those little mousse filled easter eggs from Cadburys, but I had walked 22000 steps after my watch decided to reset itself, after I'd done 9000 and wiped the step data so I had a choice between doing another 12000 to hit my StepBet target or taking an unplanned rest day. I went with doing the extra 12000 and ended up doing just over 14000 in the end. This morning has been pretty active already - cycled into work and then out on the river for an hour to get some more practice in for June's race.

Have been slightly over-indulging the last couple of days, partly because of the not logging, partly because my exercise has been increasing and my hunger levels haven't settled down yet. Have done well with my goals so far, just need to get back to planning my food ahead for grocery shopping as it's easier to go with a planned list than freestyle it.

Looking forward to a relaxed weekend, having a poker night at my place tonight so having a light lunch today to make room for all the tasty foods my other half will be making for it, have nothing on tomorrow which is probably the first time in weeks, so nice lie in and a couple of nice walks if the weather is nice. Then Sunday I have a training row, so will be rowing for about 2.5 hours. Plan is tomorrow to write up my food plan for next week and pick up the groceries for it.

Shark week started over the weekend and had a lot more starchy carbs than normal so very bloaty as seen by the sudden up-swing in weight. Nailed my 3rd week of StepBet so I am halfway through the challenge now.

My watch continues to plot against me and reset itself after doing 6000 steps yesterday, so it put me behind on my StepBet yesterday as I must do over 11000 to meet my goal to win my money back, this is the 2nd time it's done it now, so fairly unimpressed, have ordered a new one out of frustration. Food was relatively good yesterday despite an extra slice of cake (whoops). Had plenty of fruit and veg yesterday and did some yoga before bed. This morning I cycled into work and then went out on the water for an hour rowing and will need to do an Active Step day today so that's 14000 steps or thereabouts. So plan is to go for a walk at lunchtime and then after work I need to head into the City to collect my neighbourhood food order (fresh milk, bread, butter from farmers market suppliers) so that should put me well on the way to my target, provided my watch behaves.

Got a Power Day (Higher Goal) on my StepBet challenge yesterday so feel like I have made up a little for Monday's watch glitch issue. Stuck mostly to planned food yesterday, had some sweets at the cinema and a small butterfly cake at lunch but nothing that would damage calorie deficit too badly if at all.

Another Power Day under my belt yesterday for StepBet. New watch has now been dispatched - excited! Did meal prep for the rest of the week, I feel like I am getting into a nice routine, I've pretty much maintained this round, but considering I'm not logging, I'm pretty happy with that.

04/04: 188.6 Last month around the same time, I stayed the same for about a week. I kinda wonder if it's because I'm ovulating. The timing would be about right, but I don't track my cycle. I'm still eating at a deficit, so here's to hoping it's just ovulation!

04/03 – 185.4 – Still staying at 185. I’ll take a long walk today and just keep plugging away.
04/04 – 185.4 – Actually surprised with this because I went over calories and had 2 margaritas last night. I did get in a long walk though. Back on track today.
04/05 – 185.4 – stuck at this number. I know it isn’t always going to go down. Did have a long walk, so I exercised 3 times this week so far.
04/06 – 184.1 – YEA! Finally movement! I just have to keep with it. My daughter-in-law even mentioned that I had lost weight yesterday. Hopefully going to get a long walk in today, between rain.
04/07 – 183.6 – I hope the scale is right. I weight several times and got different numbers. I didn’t take the long walk yesterday because it was raining all day, but I did stay below my calories.
04/08 – 184.6 – well, still below 185. No walk yesterday and busy week this week.
04/09 – 185.0 – darn. I did get in a walk but also ate the extra calories.
04/10 – 183.9 – that’s a whole lot better. Even when the numbers go up and down, as long as I keep working, the trend will be downward. 😊 I did get in a walk yesterday. I started once and before I got far it started raining, but I made it back out later.
04/11 – 185.4 – I’m very disappointed. I went over my calories a little yesterday and had a glass of wine. Motivation for me to be very good today to hopefully finish the round off below where I started.

In for my 6th round, they seem to just fly by. In the beginning no matter how well I did with calories and my exercise I put a pound on, this was disappointing because I was not over eating. Finally started the right direction again which was very pleasing. So hang in there, it will happen in time.
I have one goal, and it is to be 201 by Easter (goal is from another group I am involved in).

04/11 - 155.0 - There it is! That water weight whoosh from working out. I feel a lot better seeing that as I woke up bloated and thought for sure the scale would go up. But I stepped on it twice and same number. If I can just hold out today, I'll end at a decent loss, finally. Its been slow going after the first couple and then only ounces. But downward trend is a downward trend and I won't complain.

04/03 - 283.4 - I completed week 1, day 2 of Zombies, Run! couch to 5K training. I was able to do some longer runs on the free form run at the end; whereas on Monday I was so exhausted I just walked at the end. I have had a busy day. Food has been good, but a little short on breakfast.
04/04 - 282.6 - Yes! Day 2 of a drop. I will do some more walking later doing another episode of Zombies, Run! I had a good breakfast. I have changed up my apples for Halos. I tried a new flavor of yogurt this morning too. It was pretty good. Nutrition class was interesting. We talked about spices and what goes best with what. Looking forward to the rest of the day.
04/05 - 280.0 - WHOOSH! Well, now that was unexpected. Today is a fasting day, just two more after today. I will do an episode of Zombies, Run! later tonight after dinner. I walked to Transitions and back, but don't want to do too much without food in my stomach to keep my blood sugar from dropping too low.
04/06 - 280.0 - Holding steady. Walked in the park using Zombies, Ru! last night. I'm going to doing day 3 of week 1 of couch to 5K of Zombies, Run! 5K training today out in the park before the storms move in. I plan to also do some cleaning on my apartment today. Some other exercises I haven't decided on yet.
04/07 - 279 - Yay! I was glad to see this number. It's my official weigh-in day today so. I walked for an hour yesterday. After the episode for Zombies, Run! ended I kept going for another 20 minutes, just enjoying the music and the New Canton radio hosts banter (it's still part of the app). I completed day 3, week 1 of Zombies, Run! couch to 5K training yesterday as well. I felt very proud about that. I got like 14,000 steps by the end of the day.
04/08 - 281.2 - A fluctuation up. I'm not too worried about it. My sleep was off last night. I think I'm retaining a bit of water as well. Today is Week 2, Day 1 of couch to 5K using Zombies, Run! trainer, and I'm looking forward to it.
04/09 - 278.0 - I'm three pounds from my next major goal. It came up fast. I was able to acquire most of the groceries I need for the next week. The week after I'll have to dip into the pantry and that's a lot of processed foods. I don't know what it's going to do to my weight and diet.
04/10 - 278.4 - A small tick upwards. Just replaced the batteries in my scale, so kinda expected. Food and exercise was on point yesterday. Today is Week 2, Day 2 of Couch to 5k looking forward to it. Due to weather going to do it in the gym instead of the park. I've had a few symptoms of psychosis the last few days due to stress but doing better now.
04/11 - 279.2 - I don't trust this number given when I read the scale. It wasn't my usual time. Oh, well. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get a normal time to step on the scale. Food and exercise was on point yesterday. I have lots of walking planned for the day.

04/03 205.1 (5416 steps but no exercise) Okay this is a good # to start a horse show on. Hopefully we'll see a lower # by Monday morning. I zoomed around the house last night trying to get things all packed, car cleaned out, then packed again, and still get to bed at a decent hour. The night before heading for a show is like Christmas Eve. It was after midnight before my mind settled down. It's going to be LONG, HARD days and not much sleep. I'll try to check in each night before bed.
04/04 DNW (@Horse Show) 5030 steps. Wednesday was a good day except dinner. I got to the show and treated myself to Arby’s gyro and large fries. I figure I am going to burn it all off over the weekend.
04/05 DNW (@Horse Show) 20,114 steps. Thursday was a long freaking day. We were busy from dawn to dusk. Eating was okay. I honestly forgot to eat for most today of the day.
04/06 DNW (@Horse Show) 28,857 steps. Friday was an even longer day at the show (4:30am to 10:30pm). I showed both horses and walked a lot! My feet are killing me. I did well on my eating, especially not snacking between meals.
04/07 DNW (@Horse Show) 12,633 steps. Saturday was a "slow" day as we only had 1 person showing but I still had a decent amount of walking and rode Spark. Problem with eating was the sausage "casserole" that Colleen made. I have NO CLUE how to record it. I'm not even sure I know what all was in it. I DID avoid the dirt cake dessert that Kelly made (the WHOLE weekend).
04/08 204.6, 17,990 steps. Sunday was the last day of the show. I showed both horses so my steps were up. I just realized that I really didn’t drink that much water the entire weekend (maybe 2 bottles per day). Thought the scale would be lower but, I will take it.
04/09 204.0, 3954 steps. Monday after a horse show is usually a VERY difficult day but this time it wasn't too bad. I didn't have as much pain as I thought I would (knees/back). I was able to stay within my calories for the day. No LNS seeing as I crawled in bed by 8pm. LOL I was whooped. (I was going to go to beginner's yoga after work but, forgot my workout clothes. Oops.) *Next Monday I am signed up.*
04/10 204.3, 5301 steps. Tuesday I had several medical appointments. Trying to determine WHY I haven't had much of a voice for the 4wks since I had that terrible double ear infection. My eating was good until bedtime. I grabbed 2 cookies as I went upstairs and that put me into the red. Should have gone outside and walked. It was nice but breezy. Would have been worth it but I was just exhausted after my long day.
04/11 204.4, 3411 steps. Wednesday was a busy, crazy day at work. I didn't get up from my desk much. I really wanted to go for a walk when I got home but it was too cold. Yes, I know that isn't an excuse. I could have bundled up. I got my steroid inhaler and have started using it so hopefully that helps my voice/chest b/c xrays were normal. Need to schedule an ENT consult next. (I have a condition called SARCOIDOSIS and I'm worried it's the reason I have no voice.) I went to bed around 7:30pm and next thing I knew my alarm was going off t 5:30am. I was whooped, again.

Second round! I'm keeping my same goals of tracking at least 10,000 steps a day on my Fitbit, going to the gym or working out at home when I have it scheduled on my calendar, and averaging a little under my calorie goals to fit in unexpected treats and/or beers. I'm aiming for a 2 lb. loss again as well.

04/03 187.2 lb Big drop mostly fueled by a busy schedule and little appetite. I missed going to the gym in favor of taking the dog for a longer walk and giving myself a little bit of down time before rehearsal. 11,906 steps were tracked and I'm drinking TONS of water and tea. We're getting take-out for dinner, so I won't be surprised to maintain this weight or see a gain tomorrow morning.
04/04 187.2 lb 12,636 steps were tracked and I came to the conclusion that taking time to change into my walking shoes from my work shoes makes a BIG difference on how far I'm willing to walk my dog. Calories were pretty good, but I needed to guess how many calories were in our dinner, so I'm sure it's off in terms of calories and sodium. The cluttered schedule continues with rehearsals for a different ensemble until 6:00pm and then I need to catch up on some bookkeeping and payroll for the wind ensemble I play in.
04/05 185.4 lb Another drop, but I'm pretty sure it's from some stress I've been feeling at work. 16,174 steps were tracked and calories were way under. I have a workout scheduled on my calendar for this afternoon and then we have opening night for Chicago. The kids are going to be great!
04/06 186.2 lb No workout yesterday. I thought I needed a nap before yesterday's show and twenty minutes turned into two hours. 😂 I tracked 11,197 steps and kept within my calorie goals. We went out for breakfast this morning and I had an acai bowl, croissant, and coffee. I'm planning on cleaning the house and taking the dog for a nice long walk before tonight's show.
04/07 184.4 lb 11,749 steps were tracked and I met my calorie goals. Minor NSV: I turned down some chocolate chip cookies because I knew I was going to have a beer with dinner. More dog walking and cleaning planned for today and we have our final matinee this afternoon.
04/08 185.6 lb I could have definitely had more water yesterday. I meal prepped lunches for the week with rosemary chicken salads ready to go in the fridge. I tracked 11,203 steps and only went over my calories by less than 100 because I wanted some chocolate after dinner. Two small pieces and I was satisfied. I'm looking forward to a busy day with my last after school class on "differentiated instruction" and our last jazz band rehearsal until April vacation.
04/09 184.4 lb Just barely made my step goal with 10,601 steps. Calories looked good and I drank a bunch of water and tea. I'm planning on fitting in Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred today after work and before a budget meeting. After that, the dog gets her nails trimmed and gets a good walk. The boyfriend is providing dinner tonight, so I'm keeping lunch light and loading up on water and tea because he likes to get take-out. I'd like to see this weight show up again (or maybe see something a little lower!) tomorrow.
04/10 184.4 lb Looking good! Dinner was tacos, chips, and one beer. 12,829 steps were tracked and I did level one from the 30 Day Shred. I'm at school today until 5:30-6:00 with the Pep Band playing at a Unified Track Meet and then I go to pub trivia with the family, so I won't get home until 9:30. Dinner is either going to be leftovers from Sunday when I get home or a smoothie from the juice bar in town before the track meet. We'll see how I feel this afternoon.
04/11 183.2 lb Lowest low in over a year! I tracked 13,234 steps and almost made my calorie goals. Dinner was mostly beer (2 pints and 4 tasters!), some soup, and corn chips. I'm at school until 5:00 today, then I pick up the pup from daycare and we're demolishing our leftovers for dinner.

04/11 173 My wedding ring is still feeling snug this morning, so I think I’m holding water. I got in an upper body workout after work last night. I’m so ready for my day off tomorrow!

04/03/19: Today’s weight is 170.4, the exact same weight as yesterday, and the day before that. Continuing to look for ways to cut calories and sneak in some additional exercise. I’m beginning to feel like I’m plateauing again. I just want to get out of the 170’s for good. Yesterday I came in at 1,224 calories, then burned an additional 380 calories on the elliptical and strength training. I was really hungry by lunch time today.
04/04/19: 171.2. Not sure what’s going on and why I’m almost a whole pound heavier this morning, but it is what it is. Met my calorie goal today. Took a break from the gym and went shopping for some smaller spring/summer clothes.
04/05/19: 169.4 Woo-hoo! Hope it stays in the 160’s. I began drinking lemon water today to increase my overall water intake. Water is the one thing I haven’t been tracking. I’m also trying to cut back on the sodium, as it may be masking weight-loss efforts. I’ve been doing some exercises for my arthritis for a week now, and I could tell a difference at the gym today. I seem to be gaining mobility in my hip A non-scale victory! I came in just under my calorie limit today.
04/06/19: 168.6 Yay! When I hit 166.5, that will be 40 pounds lost. Reminding myself to be patient, and take it one day at a time, and not be upset if that number goes up a little tomorrow. Also reminding myself that slow weight loss is the best. Be patient, Jodie Girl!
04/07/19: 167.4 Shut up! I have a body fat composition scale that measures body fat, skeletal muscle, etc. (Yes, I know these scales aren’t 100% accurate, but I still like the info it gives.) One of the other things it measures is water percentage. I’ve been hovering at about 47% water. I drank more lemon water yesterday, and even though my weight decreased by almost a pound, it showed that I’m at 48% water. Maybe this scale is more accurate than I give it credit for??
04/08/19: 169 Honestly, I’m not surprised. I woke up with a sinus headache yesterday, and battled it the whole day. I slept most of the day and didn’t drink enough water. Drank a little more water today, but not as much as I would have liked. I worked out hard at the gym today. I’m curious to see what the scale says tomorrow.
04/09/19: 169.6 Well, considering I was up half the night with indigestion, I’m not surprised. Took some Pepto-Bismol at 3:00 am and ate some crackers, so that may partially explain this uptick. I feel a little bloated this morning.
04/10/19: 169.2 Yay! I came in under my calories yesterday (1223) and had a good workout at the gym. So glad to be in the 160’s for 5 days in a row! I think I can now say that I am officially out of the 170’s. I continue to work on increasing my water intake.
04/11/19: 169.6 Not sure why it’s up a little today. I had a really good workout yesterday, and came under in my calories (1183), so I’m guessing that it’s water weight. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but I can say this: I know who I have been these past couple of weeks. I’ve made good choices, and am taking care of myself. I am beginning to buy clothes in smaller sizes and I look different. The scale will catch up soon enough.
