05/03- Still have not seen any Spring weather foggy, rainy. Enjoyed playing basketball with the grand kids. Went for walk , kettlebell exercises and stretching. Have a great weekend!
05/04- busy day, went for a walk, cleaned the house, had my MRI, had dinner to celebrate our Anniversary it was in Dec. so we got together yesterday and ordered Chinese Food.
05/05- Weather was a perfect sunny day, enjoyed a walk with my husband.
05/06-Went for a three mile walk. I have so much energy, especially at the end of the day.
05/07- Did to much again today, I had to pick at dinner.
05/08- Lots of exercise today, 2 x walks, stretching, kettlebell.

05/06 71.8kg💃🏽and I knocked 20s off last week's benchmark run! Got strength training class this pm so it's all out for a new week.
05/07 71.9kg.no problem it always happens. I need a new hole on my belt and I found some skinny jeans in my closet that fit. Happy days. Planks and push ups done and netball planned for this evening.

05/03 270.2 Feeling pretty good about today. Made it through the first three days of low carb diet and went for a jog last night. Seeing a weight drop is really uplifting.
05/04 268.6 Worked last night. Nothing like a 13 hour shift to help get the blood moving!
05/05 268.2 Worked last night. So many steps! Today is run day, but I picked up a shift, so I'll be trying for my 5K at midnight. Eating is on point, and I feel really good about pretty much everything.
05/06 265.8 Holy crap! I expected to be up, since I spent all night cooking, meal prepping for the week. I logged every bite I took, and I guess it wasn't as much as I'd assumed. Ran 5K and now for a 13 hour shift.
05/07 266.0 Work was rough, and I ran that out for 1.5 miles. Saw a podiatrist. Turns outs one leg is shorter than the other! Weight is up a bit, and I'm weirdly glad. Dropping lbs so fast was making me nervous. I've got 'slow and steady' as my mantra, and I don't want to fall into the trap of craving a big loss every day.
05/08 265.4 A couple days off, and I'm still eating well. Doing my wakeup and bedtime routines. The fridge is packed with easy grab meals for the next week. Making the act of healthy choices the easiest one.14 -

05/03 147.8 Even though this is technically hitting my goal weight for this round, I'm going to keep my goal weight the same for now. Still going strong on my (temporary) keto plan, and I set movement alarms yesterday to reach 3744 steps. Two weekends to get through in this round, here we go! (Don't mess it up, don't mess it up...)
05/04 147 No complaints! Expecting it to bounce up again tomorrow. Everything is sitting like a lump in my stomach.
05/05 144.4 What?! Yesterday, I did a short aerobics workout, but it only balanced the extra 200 calories I ate, so I guess I have to credit keto for this? Boo, kind of. I like carbs!
05/06 145.6 Nothing big to report from yesterday- still keto, still within my calories. Did 2278 steps on a bad pain day, so I'm happy with my efforts yesterday.
05/07 145.6 Cruising along. Tomorrow I will be a week and a 1/2 into my keto month. There are lots of things I like about this way of eating, and so many things that are not sustainable for me in the long term, as I have learned previously. But I may be able to do a month off and on as I am losing. There are a lot of benefits for sure. Something to consider.

05/03 182.0 lbs finally! 🎉 after very little loss the last couple of days I finally get to see a nice loss! Sticking to my calorie limit and substituting chocolate with apples finally seems to pay off!
05/04 181.1 lbs Whoa! Stayed within deficit, but not my calorie goal yesterday, so still pretty happy about this. Here’s to hoping yesterday won’t catch up with me!
05/05 181.0 lbs I struggle a lot on the weekends. I try not to be too hard on myself and allowing myself a piece of chocolate or two, even if it means going 100 or so over my calorie limit. So I’m more than happy with my weigh-in this morning. Goal for today: lots of water!
05/06 forgot to weigh in - had a friend over and just forgot about it. Had a glass of wine and high sodium foods, so a gain won’t be surprising.
05/07 181.4 lbs better than expected. Now back on track!
05/08 181.8 lbs Both the weekend catching up with me and the fact that I’m having PMS. After tracking food and weight for over a month now I can see a pattern. I might just not weigh in around this time of the month next month because it discourages me too much.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

05/03 377.8 - I am going to try to set more realistic goals this 10 days and if I do better so be it. Going for 4 pounds. I am also going to be more committed to checking in and going to make it easier for me to do it. If I consistently lose 4 pounds every 10 days until the end of the year I will get under 300 pounds. That is a reasonable goals.

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it!
The last day I shall not be weighing in as we shall be flying out for the first day of our holiday in Italy. Need to do really well over the next 9 days .
Round goal - to weigh less at the end of the round than the start, I think maybe it's too ambitious to want to be in the 120's?

05/03 13,10 - Ho hum. Start of Bank Holiday weekend so need to plan out food so I don't go off-track.
05/04 13,11 - Seriously irritated by this but too busy to get drawn into a funk. This is my heaviest workout day with a 2hr martial arts session including fight fitness which was a killer today. No car available so I had to bike there and back in the wind. On the up-side I have lots of calories to play with.
05/05 13,10 - Got up super early to do a car boot sale. Despite being busy I seem to have used up far to high a percentage of my calories before dinner.

Aiming to keep as active as possible - try to get in 10k steps everyday (if I'm not at the gym) by fitting in a quick lunchtime walk at work.
Its a Bank holiday weekend here in the UK so family dinner Sunday then friends round on Monday so going to be a tough start and a Sunday morning finish when I rarely weigh my lowest .... But these are excuses I guess not reasons so onwards and downwards. Here we go ............................

03/05 - 142.0lb (+0.4lb) Slightly up but not unusual for a Friday morning as we nearly always have home made burgers Thursday night so my carbs are higher than other days. Not worried as overall calories were all ok. Did 11k steps yesterday and so far today done a 2500 step walk and week 1 day 1 of C25k (going to try it and see if I can get to like running although I am doubtful and may end back on my bike - just wanted to try something else). We've got a skip being delivered today so will be spending the weekend loading that up with building rubbish and clearing a bit more of the garden so plenty of exercise ahead and will no doubt ache lots by the time I go back to work Tuesday! Did also spend a large part of the weekend loading up a skip with builders rubble so got a good workout and definitely didn't drink enough water. Back to normal today - food planned and prepped and gym session tonight so its all good

5/3 - 144.8. Nice whoosh for the first day of this round! Had a rough round 75 and ended high, looking forward to turning that around. Wins yesterday: RPM class, 4 miles of walking. Tracked every bit of food and liquid that I took in, just 30 calories over goal and drank a lot of water. Goal for today - continue the trend. Track everything!
5/4 - 144.6. Very surprised it’s not up, I’ll take it! Had a couple of beers last night and I’m not a regular drinker so I assumed it would go up due to bloating. Will hydrate well, stick to my calorie goal and exercise today in hope of flushing it out. Wins yesterday: tracked everything and only slightly over calorie goal, hydrated well, fit in a short HIIT workout even though I didn’t think I would have time.
5/5 144.4. I like these little drops! Wins yesterday: really hard HIIT workout, and a short bit of Zumba. Shorter dog walk (1.5 miles) due to weather. Hydrated well. Had dinner at a friend’s so couldn’t track well since I didn’t prepare it but did my best to watch portions as I know it was a heavier meal.
5/6 - 143.7. Matched the lowest I've been since I started the 10 day challenges, back at the end of round 73. Wins yesterday: 3.2 mile dog walk, yoga class, did some chores around the house and grocery shopped for the week. Hydrated well. Only went over calorie goal by about 50 calories, even with Oreos. Now that I see my low weight again I'm motivated to end this challenge lower than that.
5/7 -143.1. Big whooshes this round! I know from previous rounds it can be fleeting so I'm enjoying while I can. Wins yesterday: 5 mile run, 3.25 miles walking. Tracked everything, I thought I would be over a lot but ended up just 30 calories over target. Didn't hydrate as well as I should. Didn't sleep well so I'll be working hard today to not make poor decisions based on being tired.
5/8 - 144.0. Bodies are weird. Yesterday was a better day than the one before but I’m up almost a pound. Oh well, I know I did most things right. Wins yesterday: HIIT class and 2 mile walk. Hydrated decently, could do better but it was enough. Stayed right at calorie target. Will stay the course today and hopefully will come back down.
5/9 - 142.9. Bouncing all over the place the last few days! Wins yesterday: bodycombat and RPM classes. Hit calorie target. Hydrated ok but could have done better based on my activity level. Goal is to stay the course the next couple of days, because I have a lot going on this weekend and will be out of my normal routine. 05/08 – 142 – One year ago today I started this challenge for Round 40 at 174 lbs. I’d lost 12 lbs. on my own the previous couple months and then got stuck for a couple weeks. I was hoping this group could keep me focused and help me lose the weight I’d been actually trying to lose for over 17 years. Well, it worked. I’ve certainly had my ups and downs, literally, with my weight this past year, but reading all your posts and taking some advice I’ve learned here has made this weight loss stick this time. The most helpful lessons I’ve learned are: Drink water, take body measurements, excess carbs in a meal will cause temporary weight gain, drink water, expect fluctuations for no good reason, measure and weigh food, and drink plenty of water! Thank you to all!
05/09 – 143 – Expect fluctuations for no good reason! On the plus side, I had a Dr. appt. yesterday and I weighed 145, fully dressed, after I had eaten lunch. Also, since my weight loss, my blood pressure has been so good that I haven’t had to take blood pressure pills for the past 10 months and it was confirmed yesterday.

I've been reading a bit about the dangers of obsessive tracking (which I've been doing for 4 years, even through gaining periods) and the imprecision of determining caloric content of foods and burn through exercise. So I'm experimenting this round with not counting calories but simply paying attention to what I eat, how much, and when. We'll see what happens.

Okay, I’m officially upset and befuddled. I did have 2 pieces of pizza last night, but come on. This is the heaviest I’ve been in a couple of years, and although my clothes still fit, I am most unhappy. I don’t think it’s even possible to gain 9 pounds in a month. 05/09 - 155.1 - A blip up. I was over my calories, but still in deficit so I'm curious. But we did go to hibachi last night. I got the salmon. Had a little rice (maybe a half a cup's worth) and ate vegetables and salmon. I still have more than half my dinner left (eating for lunch). Maybe it's just salt as I know from other hibachi places, they use quite a bit. No worries, I'm not up a ton and still doing well. If I stay this exact weight until the end of the round, I'll still be at my lowest end-of-round weight (: Progress is progress. Plus, my stomach doesn't look quite as bloated as normal so I'll take it! NSV: my belt fits on the tightest loop again! Its very hit and miss that it happens but usually the second to last is most comfortable. Now its too loose!!!

Previous day's comments for R7605/03 - Its Friday. Its been a mentally draining week and I could not keep up with nutrition the way I needed to. Had to take a step back and get my mind right and that meant sacrificing some of my focus on tracking, planning, and preparing. Hopefully today will go a little smoother and I can get back to focusing on getting even better things in my body. Don't have anything good at work for lunch so it won't be a great day, but if I can keep my mind in the right spot, I can move forward from here (:

05/06 - I want to be excited about this weight but I know its a false low. I was so nauseous yesterday that even drinking water make me throw up. Didn't eat anything until about 8pm (after drinking ginger ale to calm me down) and even then, it wasn't a lot. I'm so dehydrated right now. I just hope when I bounce back, it won't be terribly high. I feel okay-ish now but barely any sleep. Stupid storms. Supposed to storm all night tonight and tomorrow night so hopefully they aren't as crazy as last night and I can sleep through
05/07 - There it is! I actually feel much better about this because I was worried once I started eating and drinking again, it'd be much higher. I didn't eat well (mostly carbs) but they helped absorb some of the icky stomach acid that is destroying my world right now. But I'm hopefully a little closer to back on track today (: Still no good sleep, two different storms came through last night (not including the one with hail earlier in the evening when I got home). Storms/rain all day today and storms all night tonight again. I feel so weak and tired and unfocused. Hopefully this ends soon.
05/08 - I'm all over the place. Hopefully this sticks. Have a semi-okay lunch but I haven't been grocery shopping lately to get anything good. Water needs to pick up but our water fountains are out of service at work so I can't refill my water bottle unless I use the sink (ick). Hopefully today they're working. Actually got some sleep last night. Not a ton, but way better. Storms tonight are supposedly early in the evening and giving away to rain overnight and that may help. Mentally been struggling these last few days though ): Hopefully I'll bounce back soon.
