05/13 - 137.2 (-2.4lbs) I don’t know if this is real or if it’s just going to shoot back up to 139. It has been back and forth the last several days. I should be in this range but will see what happens in the coming days.
05/14 - 138.7 (+1.5lbs) and there it is 😆 I’m sure it’s a bit of DOMS causing water retention. Im just going to accept the ups and downs as the new normal. At least it’s not 139s.
05/15 - 139 (+.3) can’t say I’m surprised. Felt bloated last night. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

05/13 149.8 Bummer - weight increased from weekend of 148.8, (drop after being almost constant since May 1) although within normal variation it seems. Seems that since I have increased calories to about 1400, but also increased number of calories burned that my weight seems to be more unstable on a day to day basis. water weight retention due to increased exercise? measurement error in exercise calories (likely)? error in food calories (likely)? Would expect a daily decrease based on calorie deficit, but clearly more complex than that as loss seems to be nonlinear.
05/14 149.8 well at least it did not go up again... seems to be a pattern of late to see a biggish drop of 1-2 pounds in a day, slight increases over a couple of days, and then another big drop. Wish I could determine why exactly and eliminate those ups! not enough data yet to correlate :-)
05/15 149.6 a 0.2 decrease !!! I'll take anything!
05/16 148.5 YEAH!!! 1.1 lb decrease and I finally made short term goal of having BMI drop below obese category!!!!!!!!! now onto goal of getting out of overweight category into healthy weight. Will see if weight stays at or below this for tomorrow. Again food diary and exercise diary predicts that I should see a drop, but I am guessing there will be a lag. Shorter term goal is to reach half-way point which is just five pounds away. So close, yet so far!
05/17 148.0 After the plateau from the 1st of May to the 12th, really excited to see another decrease!!!! Afraid it will go up tomorrow, but trying hard to keep track of food calories accurately and get back to the loss of 2 lbs/week goal. 4.5 lbs to midpoint on this journey!!!!
05/18 149.9 Well the nonlinear uptick today (which is starting to get predictable after a one day big drop) just wiped out the week's loss and BMI is back into obese category :-( Did cardio (spin class) and weights (just arms/chest) yesterday so definitely had a decent calorie burn, but did eat dinner later than normal last night. Grilled shrimp tossed with red/green cabbage and carrots, with soba noodles, mandarin oranges, cashews, mint, basil & cilantro, and a dark sesame oil/orange/rice wine vinegar dressing with a crisp rose. Lots of bulk with the cabbage. Slept in today and then went to gym for the step aerobics class (45 min with another 15 minutes weights/stretching). 15 minutes walking to cool down and then home to go out with family for lunch and to a u-pick strawberry farm. Picked 5 pounds of berries!!!! Super ripe and juicy and still warm from the sun!!!! Making overnight oats with yogurt and strawberries and will look for a sugar free ice-cream recipe, so let me know if anyone has any good suggestions!

05/13 – 143.5 – Glad to see I went down a pound.
05/14 – 143.5 – Although I’m glad I’m not up from Sunday’s calories, I am noticing that my trend weight has gone up a pound. I’ve gotten a little lax in measuring and weighing my food, so I’m going to start paying more attention.
05/15 – 142.5 - Drank plenty of water yesterday and stuck to 1400 calories.
05/16 – 143.5 – Well the body is going to do what the body wants to do…I drank plenty of water and kept at 1400 calories.
05/17 - 142.5 - Very busy day today, but also a lot of sodium, so we'll see what happens tomorrow.
05/18 - 143.5 - I almost forgot to weigh this morning. This was after breakfast and several cups of coffee. I've had a semi high calorie day, but I've done a lot of physical work today too. We'll see how this all plays out tomorrow.

Hopefully I can just maintain this round and stay where I ended the last round. We have 3 graduation parties, my son and niece’s actual graduation, and a ton of family in town. Lots of eating out and drinks I am sure. It is a time to celebrate, so I’m trying to learn how to celebrate in moderation, both with food and alcohol. That has never been a strong suit of mine, lol.

5/13 - 149.6 had Panda Express last night for dinner, so I’m assuming I’m up because of the soy sauce and carbs. Plus I’m sure it’s the rest of my Saturday night activities coming back to haunt me. On a Monday to still be under 150 I am happy. I have my 1st grad party tonight at an Italian restaurant, so I’m going to try and choose wisely. Plan today is to drink lots of water to get the sodium and beer out of my system and try and fill up on salad for dinner. Also no bread or alcohol tonight.
5/14 - 149.6 same which is good. Italian dinner with family last night, plus my husband surprised me with an afternoon movie. Finally got to see the new Avengers which was worth the wait. Ended up having a couple of beers during the movie, but no bread sticks at dinner. We also stopped and grabbed burgers before walking into the movies, so staying the same was expected. Should be back down tomorrow, work all day and the my youngest has her talent show tonight. So meals are planned and prepped.
5/15 - 148.0 Nice drop today, should be back to 146.xxx tomorrow. Just in time for loads of family to come into town. My son and niece graduate tomorrow, so will weigh and check in quickly in the am. Hopefully I can make decent choices tomorrow, I know lunch and dinner will be out and there will be lots of celebrating. I don't think I will make my goal of 145 by tomorrow, but I am really darn close and happy with where I am.
5/16 - 147.0 ate really late last night trying to get ready for the graduation today. Two restaurant meals today and a lot of sitting. Wish me luck!
5/17 - 148.0 and I am back up. I now officially have 2 children that have graduated from high school! I did really well yesterday food wise. I did have a spicy bloody Mary (I just love them so much), 2 beers and maybe 3 glasses of water ( I know terrible). I know I was dehydrated because I woke up twice last night thirsty. I was way under on calories though, my breakfast was just over 300 and then I did not eat again till dinner which was only about 600 calories. Back at work today and hopefully will be back down tomorrow before we have to start the weekend. I have 1 more graduation party on Saturday and I will be done with events for this round. Half way through and right now I haven't made any progress, but I have maintained, which in my book with all the celebrating and eating out I have done, I'm taking it as a win!
05/18 - 147.0 still here just hanging out. My trend weight is the lowest it has ever been, so winner, winner, chicken dinner. Last grad party in this round that I have to attend today and hopefully I will do well and weigh in around the same tomorrow.

05/13 DNW - yesterday flew to Italy for a week. Managed to walk just over 5 miles, some in the airport before the flight and then a wander around after we checked in the hotel. Going to try to make healthy choices, but we are on holiday so !! At least we have good scope for good walking and lots is either steep up or down hills, plenty calorie burning !!!
05/14 DNW - 9 miles walked yesterday including 3 down the hill to Sorrento and of course then back up at the end of the afternoon !!
05/15 DNW - caught ferry over to Capri yesterday after walking down to the marina, did loads of walking over alot up hill and of course walked back up the hill to the hotel at the end of the day; 12 miles walked and 224 flights of stairs !!
05/16 DNW - 11.5 miles walked, tried to make healthy food choices, lots of water
05/17 DNW - 10 miles walked, still within calories as best I can count - it's difficult when eating out and not in charge of preparing. Caught the train to Herculeum, amazing set of ruins and allegedly in better condition than Pompeii if a smaller site.
05/18 DNW - walked down the hill again to catch the bus to a lovely fishing village on the Amalfi coast, walked all the way down to the sea and later back to the top for bus back to Sorrento and walk all the way back up the hill; 10.25 miles walked and 161 flights of stairs.

05/13 – 201.0 – Not the best way to start the week or a new challenge, but I’m trying to keep it in perspective and use these ten days to reinforce good habits. Rain all day, so I concentrated on indoor tasks and planned, pre-logged, and prepped most of my meals for the work week. Didn’t want to miss my walking goal on Day 1, so I walked briskly indoors for 35 minutes, incorporating 45 flights of steps to keep my heart rate up. Logging, calories, and water: all good. Wrapping up the evening with a big stack of papers – only 3 more sets to go!
05/14 – 199.2 – Now that’s looking better! Cold and rainy again – brrr! Did 40 minutes walking around a local mall instead of heading home for my planned lunch. Grabbed something on the fly, but kept to my calorie allowance. Drank my water and got through 2 more sets of student essays. Only 1 more to go!
05/15 – 198.8 – Last day of classes! It was nice to see the sun after so much rain. Finished my last stack of papers before class and got the final grades entered before dinner. Then I rewarded my patient pup with a nice long walk in the park (75 min). Started sorting through my summer clothes, trying some on before deciding what works for now and what may (hopefully) need to be replaced by the end of the season. Under my calorie limit, plenty of water, and an invigorating walk! Best of all, the grading is behind me. Summer break starts now
05/16 – 197.6 – First day of break! 50-minute walk on the boardwalk before a laid-back lunch date with my mom and my daughter. Pre-planning the rest of my meals helped me stay on track today.
05/17 – 197.0 – Surprised to see another drop, but I had a gain last round despite being pretty good. Skipped the walk because my feet were hurting and spent the morning shopping online for athletic shoes and sandals with good arch support. Gorgeous day, but energy and motivation were low. Sushi dinner and not enough water. Won’t be surprised to see a bounce back up this weekend, but I'm trying to focus on the trend rather than the day-to-day fluctuations.
05/18 – 197.0 – Lovely day! Did a bit of light gardening and made a trip to the nursery for some pond plants and annuals for the deck boxes. Hoping to finish those on Monday if it doesn’t rain. Walked for an hour before dinner, enjoying one of the narrow woodland trails before it’s overgrown. Skipped the wine and stayed under my calorie limit to bank a little for a dinner out tomorrow. Hope it works!

I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-77 = 44 lb.
I started and finished the last round below my maintenance range. I like the keto WOE and, mostly, stick to that, but I add extra carbs when I’m under 135.

05/13 132.6 I’m off to a low start, which means I can indulge a little. Strict adherence to keto paid off while I was losing weight, so I’ve earned the privilege of eating extra carbs. I’ll have rice with my Keto Gumbo this evening. It’s good without the rice, but I don’t want to lose more weight. My husband loves the Keto Gumbo, and, since he’s thin, I always add rice to his serving. Thor and I are going for a long walk today—I’ve kept him waiting for 3 weeks because of our cruise and all the rain since we returned. The sun is shining!
05/14 133.2 Thor and I enjoyed our walk yesterday, but I’m afraid I waited too long and have to get him used to it again. I checked the pavement several times yesterday to make sure it wasn’t too hot, and it seemed okay, and he didn’t act like anything was wrong. He walked some on the grass, but he seems to prefer the pavement. His feet were obviously sore last night. I’ll give him a couple of days before we walk again and keep the next couple of walks a little shorter. Yesterday, we walked a little over 4 miles and jogged part of the way. Thor ran out the door to chase squirrels this morning, but then slowed down. I hope he’s okay.
05/15 133.0 I started strength training with the Chalean Extreme program. I’ve procrastinated and let other activities take priority, but I’ve done it before and know how well it works, so I want to stick with it. I may have to get tough on myself.
05/16 134.2 I’m still below my maintenance range. I had muscle soreness this morning from lifting yesterday, which may account for the gain. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Today was a rest day, and I lift again tomorrow. I brought home two kittens today to be company for my dog, Thor, and keep mice off my back porch (after they grow up). Thor’s a sweet dog, and he had a cat when he was a puppy. I’m convinced he’ll accept the kittens, but it may take a while for them to get used to each other.
05/17 133.8 I haven’t done my strength training today, but it will happen. Tomorrow is a grandchild’s birthday, so I have to make a trip to town before I lift, and, hopefully, I will make it to our community game night this evening. The kittens are doing well. I have the kittens set up with a litter box, food and water bowls, and their bed in a large dog crate next to my German Shepherd’s crate, with a cardboard barrier between them. They were all quiet throughout the night, so we’re off to a good start. I’m too old to trip over anything or any animal at night.
05/18 133.8 I got my strength training in yesterday evening and did a “burn intervals” workout this evening. I enjoyed the grandson’s t-ball game and spending time with the kids this afternoon. We stopped at one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants on the way home. I ate about half my food, didn’t even cut into the shrimp stuffed avocado, so I have lunch for tomorrow. My husband has leftovers, too, so I only have to cook breakfast. That works for me!

I am in for another round and have struggled through the beginning of last round and the end of round 75. When I started the first round I never imagined I would still be here. I am 52, 5’1.5” and still in the obese category but I am working on that. I have only been with MFP since February of this year when started using MFP site steady (joined 2016 and didn’t use much and then used off and on) and the weight loss is slowing down already. I definitely need to keep moving (exercising and walking, etc.) in order to see the scale go down. It is tough some days not seeing it move or only seeing a small weight loss. He doesn't have much to lose but he wants to work out together a few nights a week! He hasn't exercised since before our wedding 9 years ago. 5/12 151.2, second day back from vacation. Yesterday was at 153.5 so happy to see some of the weight was water. My TOM is coming this week so just hoping to be back where I was at the end of Round 75
5/13 150.5, another nice drop. This is my first time tracking after a vacation. I’m truly amazed how much sodium is in restaurant food. Only .7 lbs away from where I was before the 10 day trip. I am also encouraged that if you go back to eating right, vacation gain isn’t the end of the world and it’s ok to loosen some of your reins.
5/14 149.3, new low! My TOM will be later this week so I expect a temporary gain over the next few days, but encouraged that I can get to this number again by Sunday.

Goal for round 77 - continue the momentum from 76 and end with a loss. I’ve been up and down through the challenges and would like to see a steady decline, no matter how small.
5/13 - 143.5. Got in a 4 mile run and did tons of walking and was on my feet all day. But most of that was at a music festival. Did not hydrate at all, can feel that today (and not from alcohol, only had one beer. Barely drank any water while there). No good food choices so I tried to stick to smaller portions. Got home at 2am so not nearly enough sleep last night. Hopefully won’t let that derail me too much today. All worth it to see Foo Fighters 😊.
5/14 - 143.5. Pretty happy this is the same as yesterday, fully expected a gain. I feel bloated today. Wins yesterday - long walk with dog. Other than that I rested and ate too much. My husband and I both took the day off post-concert so we went out to lunch. Back to tracking, hydrating, and a solid workout today, 8 days left in this challenge to hopefully see a decent loss.
5/15 - 143.7. So surprised it's not higher. Wins yesterday - HIIT class and 2.5 mile walk. Food intake was terrible, I grazed all day long. Super stressed about work stuff (company going through a merger, had several meetings in the morning and my job is looking less and less stable) so I gave in to stress eating. Really need to reign that in today and stay on track for these last 7 days!
5/16 -145.1. Wow. 2 days of stress eating can do a lot of damage. Need to find a better outlet for stress. Work and family stress at the same time - time to pull out my stress management tools and avoid the pantry. Did get a 4 mile run and a 3 mile walk in yesterday but clearly ate too much and didn't drink enough water.
5/17 - 144.0. Much better day. Wins: RPM class and over 4 miles walked. Hydrated well. Ate better - had a little bit of junk at Bunco but was within a deficit. I guess some of that jump in weight was bloat so that helped make a drop for today. Now to work on the weight. 5 more days, if I focus I can do this.
5/18 - 143.1. Back down. Wins yesterday - hydration, 3 mile walk, core circuit, tracked calories and ended in deficit (even with steak for dinner!). Will be outside in the heat all day today and tomorrow. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!
5/19 - 142.9. Wins yesterday: HIIT class and 2.5 mile walk with dog early morning. Hydrated well because I was outdoors in 92 degree weather all day. Didn’t eat the best but I was still in a deficit. Hard to stay focused when you’re hot and miserable and kind of bored between your kid’s games 😊. Another day of it today, goal is to stay hydrated and in a deficit. And making sure my kid stays well hydrated in this heat too!

5/13 179.0 lb I'm both happy with and suspicious of this weigh-in. We celebrated a rainy Mother's Day at my parents house where I had three beers, a cheeseburger, and pasta salad. Then, my boyfriend and I drove home separately because I needed to drop off my brother and he needed to let out the dog. I decided to surprise him with some cannoli chips and dip and he decided to surprise me with a cheese pizza for dinner. 🤦♀️ I only got in 8,226 steps due to the rain and had about 40 oz of non-calorie drinks. I have a light day of calories already logged in my diary to hopefully maintain this weight, but I won't be surprised if it creeps up as my weekend choices catch up with me.
5/14 180.6 lb 11,788 steps were tracked yesterday and I had 73 oz of water and non-calorie drinks. I'm planning on going to the gym after work today. Breakfast and lunch are light to help with whatever calories are in the dinner provided by the boyfriend. I haven't really discussed my weight loss goals with him and I don't have any expectations for him to get a healthy meal for us. He and I eat differently; he will stop when he gets full and I'm a lifetime member of the clean plate club. My thinking is that since I'm looking to create long term habits, I should be learning to make the appropriate exercise and food choices to have a few higher calorie meals a week. So far, I'm enjoying the progress I'm making.
5/15 179.8 lb 19,874 steps and 66 oz of water and non-calorie drinks were tracked. I burned 350 calories on the elliptical at the gym, which was great because dinner was homemade steak and cheese sandwiches with tater tots and one beer. I've got a staff meeting this afternoon, followed by a long dog walk (about two miles if my Fitbit is accurate), and I'm ending the evening with pub trivia with the family.
5/16 179.6 lb Onward and downward! 14,268 steps and 59 oz of water and non-calorie drinks were tracked. We blew the final question at trivia, as we typically do, and I felt satisfied with two beers instead of my usual three. I'm planning on walking the dog for two miles and doing level one of the 30 Day Shred after work and then I'll be making chicken lettuce wraps for dinner.
5/17 179.6 lb We have about a month left in the school year and it certainly feels that way. I tracked 16,032 steps yesterday and had about 70 oz of water and non-calorie drinks. I've been drinking way too much Coke Zero, so I'm going to try limit myself to two cans a day. I walked the dog for one mile and did my workout after taking an unplanned afternoon nap. I'll be heading to the gym after work today and then I'll be preparing turkey meatballs over zoodles for dinner.
5/18 178.6 lb Feeling pleasantly sore today. I met my step goal with 13,640 steps, burned 350 calories on the elliptical, and had 61 oz of water and non-calorie drinks. I'll be doing lots of yardwork today to get it ready for a get-together next weekend and I'm looking forward to a dinner out with my boyfriend tonight.
5/19 178.8 lb 12,945 steps that were mostly yardwork. Dinner was mussels, fries, beer and ice cream, so I was basically eating at maintenance by the end of the day. I only had about 40 oz of water. I'll be walking around a botanical garden with my mother today followed by a late brunch, so I'm hoping to maintain this weight for the next couple of days.

5/15 172.9 I'm pretty happy with that number considering some of the questionable choices I made while visiting my sick friend. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. He is stable but still in critical condition. I drove home yesterday; I had to come to work today. Luckily I have a job that allows me to take 3 unexpected vacation days with no warning or penalty. I think what saved me weight wise is that I walked twice a day. I found a couple of nice trails close to the hospital in case I needed to go back quickly. Sitting for 12 or 14 hours in the hospital would have been too much. I can tell I'm stressed, MS is making my legs tingle and despite sleeping well my body is aching all over. I'm trying to decide if I should walk tonight. Part of me thinks it would make me feel good mentally, part of me thinks my body needs a break.
5/16 171.2 Maybe all that walking made a difference. I don't know. I took off yesterday afternoon. Came home and napped for an hour or two then planted flowers and did everything I could to relax. I am feeling much better today. My friend is still stable which is all we can ask for right now.

I haven't walked since Monday. I looked it up on Mapmyfitness and I walked 20 miles last week. Stress walking at it's best. I wanted to go last night but it was in the '90s so no walking outside and the thought of going to the gym didn't appeal to me. It's going to be in the high 80's but cloudy this afternoon, I think I'll be alright. Happy Friday ya'll.

5/19 170.4 I didn’t expect that. I wasn’t able to walk due to rain. My friend is doing ok. He was off the ventilator but he wasn’t getting enough oxygen so they put him back on. The nurse called and put the phone up to his ear. My nephew and his gf were here and we all talked. The nurse said he smiled through the call. It’s hard being so far away.
