Petty reason....well, cause my biological mom was always heavier. I was adopted, and my adoptive mom told me that "Don't eat too much or you'll look like her. Well, after I moved out, I gained a lot of weight. I went from 138 to 215. A lot of emotional eating, and getting out from under the control she had over what I ate. After subsequently being teased my my adoptive mom and youngest sister (a twig who barely weights 100 lb) I determined to lose weight to prove that I could look like whatever I wanted.
Oh, and I also signed up for Warrior Dash in Chicago in July....to prove I could.20 -
I’m losing my neck. It goes from chin to chest!!! Lol!!!7

I want to see the looks on my family’s face when they see my weight loss.... it would be a bonus if they ask me how I did it
I also want to be able to wear dress cuter without having to wonder if it makes me look fat7 -
Petty reason: because everyone knows me my whole life as being fat.
Not-so-petty reason: if I ever meet someone who will fall in love with me as much as I fall in love with them, (at 34yo soon it seems highly unlikely) and we end up having children, I want to be able to follow their active lifestyle, as opposed to saying "mommy's tired, we'll play outside tomorrow". I don't want anyone to wonder whether the kid is accompanied by their mom or their grandmother. Ok, that last one is slightly petty.14 -

Don't take this the wrong way, but seems to me the only thing you might suck at is picking boyfriends, lol.
Seriously, girl. Don't put up with that.24 -
I've realized that I'm attracted to guys who are more attractive than me, lol.
Instead of setting for my dating pool, I'd like to "move up a league"19 -
I want to see myself in the race photography and not be disgusted.7

Oh I'm working on that part just have a special needs toddler so I'm trying to find a new job that will support me and my daughter and not rely on him because hes completely unreliable when it would come to child support and custody and basically anything involving her lol so I need to be completely self sufficient before I kick him out.15 -

I am seperated and when I sign the divorce, I want to be hot as hell. Also a customer referred to me as "The Fat One" to her husband over the phone when she thought I didn't hear and when they come into upgrade I want her to eat her words.21

I speak from experience.
He's only saying you suck because he knows in his heart you're way out of his league, and he doesn't deserve someone as good as you. He's afraid of losing you and wants to keep your self-esteem low. In his convoluted reasoning, if you feel so bad about yourself that you think no other man would want you, you'll figure you might as well stay and put up with his crap. Whatever you do, don't believe him. You're worth far more than that.
Garth Brooks song comes to mind. "She's Gonna Make It." Next line is, "He never will."17 -
Every time I look for a job and they tell me they're not hiring, my automatic thought is, "Which is it? My age, my weight, or my cane?"
I'd like to take at least one of those out of the equation.14 -
