Beth - Thank you for the messaging to Allie. I just didn't have the words this morning, and wanted to go ask her friend what her problem is... made me angry, so I didn't have comforting words. Allie - Beth has it exactly right. Hope your weekend is wonderful!
Love,

Beth - preach it! I think Allie deserves a better friend one who gets her struggles more. I’ve stayed at terrible jobs too long to just long enough before because we’ll kids braces payments to kid needing food, roof, car, school money, etc. made me a great Mom not wishy washy. Her friend sounds like the quit a job go penniless hop at the next job good or bad type. I think Allie smarter staying put since paychecks are still coming in just look at other jobs apply as she goes till she gets one to be happy with.Safer that way. Doesn’t sound like her friend has ever taken care of another person it’s not easy at all to be a caregiver!
Allie- Keep doing what your doing your friend doesn’t pay your bills so you don’t owe her no explanations on why you do what you need to do. I only kept my kids God Mom were polar opposites but she doesn’t see my differences as weakness y vice versa . Would I do what she does no she could never be happy with what I do...we get that support each other’s decisions in life. Will still be talking to each other at 90 cause we accept each other as we are. Your friends too blunt maybe that’s her personality if it is ignore what comes out she probably doesn’t think before she speaks or can’t put herself in others shoes . I didn’t stay with cheating Ex either told the mistress she could have my left overs I was full.

Expecting gales and rain this weekend. There are already widespread power outages all over, including main line railways.
I had a 'funny turn' this afternoon. After a very light lunch I went out for my usual 5k. All went well for the first two thirds and then I started to feel very weary. For the first time ever I had to stop running on the way home and sit down on a wall. Carried on to a local shop to buy essentials and nearly fainted in the shop. The owner got me a chair and opened the doors for a breeze. I felt sooooooooooooo dizzy. Got my supplies and staggered round the corner to home.
Downed some mints and a small jar of hummus. DH made me tea when he got home.
I just think it was a hypo incident. I have always been hypoglycaemic, but haven’t had an episode in years as I am super careful. Today I just hadn't eaten enough. (I do my main exercise in the morning)
I may be wrong and I may be suffering from some virus, but I feel ok apart from the faintness. (Once I've gone down it takes ages to get back to normal)
Oh well. I cooked dinner and hope to feel better soon. Didn't do any prep for the kids.
Good news is we received our excursions list for the cruise a couple of days ago and we have now managed to agree on which ones we want to book.
One of them is a trip across "The Bridge" from Denmark to Sweden and a trip round Malmö. (The bridge from the tv series) That is on my 70th birthday! Can't wait! One is a trip to a sweet little town in Norway. One is the famous Jelling Museum in Denmark (Viking runes) and one is a boat tour round the beautiful archipelago in Gothenburg and town tour.
Other than that we normslly just walk around the cities by ourselves. I really, really want to go to the Design Museum in Copenhagen. It was closed last time. There is a whole corridor of chairs! My other priority is the Munch museum in Oslo.

Allie ... ok, so I read what your friend said that you're "wishy-washy" and "have no backbone," and I was immediately offended for you. I've been struggling on how to explain that because in my world I would not do what you do. No one would consider me wishy-washy or spineless. Does that mean because my responses to situations are different than yours, that you're the wishy-washy one? I don't think so. You're actually quite resolute in what you choose to do. We call that bull-headed in my family. Your dedication to your FIL, for example, is hardly the actions of someone without backbone. It takes a great deal of determination to go and take care of this man on a regular basis. While it took you a while to get there, you left Tom. Many, many women stay in loveless marriages. You didn't. Spineless? I don't think so. Just because you're holding on to your current job doesn't mean that your wishy-washy. Nope, I don't see that. You need to pay the bills until something suitable becomes available. Bottom line, you are doing what is best for you. Others may think they know best for you or would do things differently, but that doesn't mean you are wrong or behaving in some negative way. What you are is incredibly kind, dedicated, and loyal to a fault. If that's wishy-washy and without backbone, then we should all strive to be considered as such. Enjoy your weekend!
Beth
TRUTH !! Beautifully said, Beth. We love you Allie, you are the most generous big-hearted person anyone could ask for.

JR got his new big boy cup.
Allie- If I stayed with my Ex I wouldn’t have the best husband ever y JR! Trust me Sometimes a person deserves better even if someone else can’t see that! My ex cheated on the wedding night. My hubby ex did too! So we get each other been through similar stuff! Took us awhile too to realize we deserved better. No one should expect you to sit there miserably ever after faking happiness that’s bull!Amber Tx0 -

Happy Friday, Friends. And, belated International Day of the Cat! The four legged boss here says 'That's EVERYday, Meowmy'.😸
Katla: Hope DH gets his surgery scheduled soon, and that it is easy for all. Will there be a long recuperation period?
Heather: Scary to read about your dizzy spell. Hope it does not repeat. How I love hearing about your cruises. Simply epic and exotic.
KarenVA: Archie's cousins left very visible footprints on the walls of the foothills near where I live. I love showing to visitors, so if you are ever in this area....
Allie: Heart breaking to hear such harsh criticism from a dear friend. Chin up, and just keep being yourself. She also knows your good qualities and in her heart I'm sure she wants only the best for you.
My brother arrived Tuesday evening in a very bad state. He had a going away party in his bar back home...'nuf said. He hasn't left our place due to feeling very weak and shaky. He says he has alcoholic neuropathy, and he is also on meds for high blood pressure. His sleep has been fitful for years. I am gently guiding him towards some different modalities that have worked in keeping me well. I have the Reiki master coming in about an hour to work on both of us. This will be his first time every experiencing energy work. Fingers crossed.
I am feeling great after having my back and neck adjusted by the chiropractor yesterday. My pool workouts have increased in minutes and intensity, and the scale has moved down...yay! So grateful I have the stamina to care for two grown men.
Make it a great day and weekend, ladies. We can do this.

Beth- You are so right on with your comment to Allie. I guess I am too emotional because Allie’s friend’s comments made me sad that she is suppose to be a dear friend.
Lisa- I don’t think you would balloon up because deep in your subconscious you have learned a lot of things that will keep you healthy, right? RIGHT!
Had breakfast out with friends now DHnwants to go out for date night. Oh me, how can I refuse.

Allie, what Beth said from me too!
Pip, congrats on beating your record this morning and on reaching your goal!
Rori, I sincerely hope your brother can get some help, sounds like his slope is getting pretty slippery.... {{{HUGS}}} to you, you have a lot on your plate.

Hugs for those who need them, congrats to those celebrating and welcome to the newbies!

So, my son rang me tonight. The family came home early from the MIL because Max needed to go to the hospital for an x-ray on his arm. Cracked it falling off the monkey bars. He is not in a plaster, just a support. Good job as they are flying next weekend. Edie has been vomiting, but not for 24 hours. The kids were in the bath and pulled a glass thing off the wall and have got lots of little cuts on their legs. So he just wanted to warn us before they arrive tomorrow for the sleepover.
What fun! I'm afraid I had to laugh.
We've just finished series 7 -20 of the Swedish Wallander series on DVD. Apart from the hero, I love listening to the language, which I am learning on Duolingo. DH has just ordered 1-7 and 20 -32. Because we are crossing the bridge from Denmark to Sweden on my birthday trip I will get to have two chances to speak Swedish. I am beginning to recognise more words and phrases on the films, but not when they speak long sentences. It is subtitled.
My dizzy spell has passed. Phew!
Expecting high winds tonight. I can hear it beginning to roar now.
Rori - Hope all goes well for you and your men.

I made my BBQ lunch fit into my calories! Yay! I had two eggs for breakfast, a bite of leftover chicken for a snack, then a late lunch of pulled pork with ice tea. So I have enough calories left to have my protein oatmeal for dinner. It works!
Tommorow is harder : dinner at the music festival so no telling what food will be available. It will be served with classic rock, so it's all good.

PS - just had some exercise leggings delivered from Amazon. Really good. Soft and good fit with side pockets. I've found it quite hard to find comfortable ones. I am a UK 12-14 and ordered L. They are made by Occffy. Don’t know if you can buy them in the States, but worth a look. They go up to XL. About a UK 16.

Pip, congrats on reaching your goal
Allie , I'm sorry your "friend " said such hurtful things to you. Good plan to find a way to learn useful computer skills.
I got a call today from "friends " who want to get together with for another visit. Our last visit was filled with a lot of drama about their lives and many thinly veiled bigoted remarks. We have a long history with them since they were the poodle breeders of Brandy and Sasha but spending time with them keeps getting more painful. Jake wants me to call them back but we can't decide what to tell them. They go back to California next week
Today someone in my line dance class spoke up to tell the class how safe and happy she felt with us and how class helped her have a break from all the worries in her life. That's how I feel about all of you.
