So today we pick up our first foster child, and while I am excited, I’m also so overwhelmed and nervous I feel like I’m going to be sick. I’m more anxious than I was when I became a Mother! I just hope we can offer him a good and happy and loved life for whatever amount of time we have him.14

Takes a special person to be a good foster parent- you see a lot of ppl that just do it for the cash and kids suffer - however I don’t get the vibe from you at all - I perceive the kid has won the foster lottery as it were - so good on you for stepping up , you’ll no doubt leave a positive impact3 -

And this is why I don’t belong on your list. But thank you. People like you are a good reminder to me that everything we do will impact another person in one way or another and I can’t keep indulging in the false notion that the internet is a vacuum. It has not escaped me that i tend to gloss over the more serious posts, which is terrible because i do think about those people/posts a lot. A good example is @Miss_Chievous_ posts lately regarding her health. Pretty sure I haven’t responded to even one of them even though i think of her often. I’m always so afraid of saying the wrong thing 😣. So I’m glad you included me in your list despite my being a generally distant and difficult-to-get-to-know person.
Side note: Why is it that when we don’t really know what to say, we end up using way more words than if we DID know what to say? 🤦🏼♀️
This place has certainty helped me put my mind somewhere else at times when I really needed it. Especially in the last year. There are some days where I don't feel like talking to anyone, I don't answer phone calls, texts, I don't want to leave my house... just because I am such at a low point and I don't want to bother anyone with anything because everyone has their own problems. But then I come here... I may not interact with people much but some of you has been able to put a smile on my face when I felt like I wasn't able to smile. I haven't been feeling good at all in the last 3 days and I've been at the hospital since yesterday but I'm feeling better today ❤... I'm having a hard time dealing with it along with my anxiety that's messing up with my mind because I'm scheduled to start my treatments Monday and it is making me wonder if I'll be able to keep my positive attitude. You are all special in your own way and sometimes it's the simplest things that some of you say that makes a difference. I'm happy I have this place to come to when I feel alone or simply need to smile.
