5’7” and 165lbs. Size 10 mostly
I'm one inch taller and just a few pounds heavier and wear the same size.
It's cool to see that - because I have found a lot of people either wear size 8 or 14-16 at "our sizes"!! So crazy how it can differ.
Although today I tried on like 8 pairs of jeans and the two that didn't fit were low rise 12s. All the 10s worked.1 -
148 lbs, 5’8”, size 6 mostly in pants with some 4s and some 8s thrown in. I try on all three sizes. Size Small or Medium tops. My worst is that my shoe size changed and now nothing fits. It’s good I live down south, because it’s mostly flip flops for me!1

I am 121 pounds and 5’4’’. I have skirts and pants in size 2-4 right now. But I had large hips so anything constraining like jeans is more a size 4 but dresses and looser skirts or pants are a 2. My goal is 118 so that I can wear the rest of my size 2 pants! It’s been about eight years!0

I’m 5’8”. At 163 lbs I felt like my size 12 jeans were getting a bit tight. Now at 140 lbs I’m wearing a size 8. Goal is a size 6 which should happen for me around 130 lbs.0

5'11, 160, and my pants are an 8, but I could do with a 10...At goal, 150, I'm a comfortable 6/8 depending on brand. I need Talls (36" inseam), so my brands are limited.0

At my highest weight, 248, I got really stretchy 16s from Old Navy, otherwise I would have gone up to an 18 in non-stretchy jeans. I am now ~220 and the stretchy 16s are big, but not too big so I still wear them. I can now fit 14s but they are really uncomfortably tight, so I am thinking another 10 lbs and I'll drop to a 14.0

I'm 5'8" and currently 130 lbs, exclusively wear American Eagle brand denim; just like the fit best. I own pairs (the oldest probably being 8 years old) sizing between 2 and 8. Right now I'm wearing size 4 in my jeans and 6 in my shorts.0

I’m 5’6 and weigh 156lbs. I wear a size 12 pants right now.
I started at 175, size 14.0 -
5'4, 262 pounds (down from 285), just got into some Old Navy 16s, but I have a feeling they are the most vanity of the vanity sizing...0

I started out in a 20 also. I'm 5'6 and started at 220 lbs. Fortunately, I never threw away any of my old clothes as I was coming up. I was a size 9/10 until I was in my late 30's then start up the sizes. 11/12, 14, 16, 18, to 20. I've lost 71 lbs since Jan 1st. The gain has been over the past 20 years so I've thrown my 9/10, 12, and 14 away! But I still had size 16 & 18. I went through all those and had to buy size 14 cause 16 was starting to fall off. Now, I'm 148.8 lbs, 5'6", and wearing a size 14 but really need a 12! The 14 feels pretty good on the waist but the butt and legs are huge. I think the waist in the result of extra skin because when I put on 12's, they do fit well but i have some skin that goes over the top, which I dislike so I stick with 14 for now!0

between 5'4" and 5'5" weight 243 and wear an 18, some are baggy, some are way too tight and can't even get them on.0

5’1” and currently 160 lbs. I wear a size 12 in pants. I’m bigger on top and wear a size large in t-shirts. Sometimes an XL. Used to wear a size 4-6 in pants and medium in tops. Working to get back there!0
-
I’m 5’9” and 164 lbs and I can wear anything from a size 6 to a size 10 depending on the brand and the style. It makes telling my hubby my sizes for Christmas shopping interesting!0

5'0". At about 185 lbs, I was wearing a size 18 shorts from Old Navy - and to be honest, it didn't fit well. It was an okay-snug in the front waist line, but with a big gap in the small of the back. I had the same issue with a couple of other pants from there, so ... no more Old Navy for me.
But.... At Costco, I'd gotten a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt's "Amanda" stretch jeans for ladies, size 16 and 14. Tried them on at home, and the 16's had to go right back, they were too loose. The size 14 fit really well, and sometimes at Costco - things sell out pretty quick. So I picked up a size 12 in the same style.
When I dropped to about 175 pounds, the 14's started feeling loose (but still wearable) and I could squeeze into the size 12's - snug yet comfortable.
I went back to Costco thinking I might pick up a size 10 to keep myself motivated - the one I usually shop at had none left. Bummer.
Late last week, found another Costco had a just one size 10 left and a few size 8's.
This morning, I weighed myself. 169 lbs, and the size 10 now fits snug and comfortable.
I attempted to try the size 8 on for good measure. Nope. Can't pull it up past mid-thigh, so it's going to have to weight. I suspect that if/when I get to about 150-155 lbs, then those will fit.
So - in Gloria Vanderbilt's "Amanda" stretch jeans style, this is the range I'm thinking - there's probably more wiggle room than I'm allowing for in this chart based on my own experiences.
Size 16 = somewhere above 185 lbs
Size 14 = 175 - 185 lbs
Size 12 = 165 - 175 lbs
Size 10 = 155 - 169 lbs
Size 8 = something definitely below 165 (and maybe even less than that) to get into them.

I wonder if Canadian sizing is any different than US? Is that possible? I’m 5’5”, down to 185 and wear size 16. I do have a thick waist.0

No, they are the same. But where you shop and the brands you buy make a huge difference. Some stores in the US and Canada use more international sizes - like the UK and AU sizes listed here - which are approximately 2 sizes larger than US/Canada (6 US ~10 UK). And other stores just vary, so someone may easily wear between a 2 and 8 from different stores.0 -
5’2, 146. Whatever fits; size 10 in jeans and anywhere from size 6-8 in dress pants.0

5'1" and around 120. Usually I wear a 4 or 6 petite. (which are smaller than regular sizes. If it's regular it is always a 4). If I go up even just 5 lbs., I would always be a 6 petite and sometimes 8. It seems when you're short you change sizes more quickly than taller people, whether it's up or down.0

I'm 5'2" 148lb and wear a 10/12 in UK sizing, probably moving down in to.more 10 than 12 now.0
