I can't even drag my fat self to the gym because I lack drive and ambition (I guess). I'm also afraid of fit military *kitten* judging me for being in the gym (which they do that, btw).
If I do laundry, it'll be at least a week before it goes from being cleaned to getting put up. Same with dishes. I won't do them until it's necessary.
I live in a state of "barely functioning" I guess.
Also blocks of cheese, boxes of cereal and saltine crackers exist for days where I don't want to cook, which is nearly all of them.
You are my doppleganger. But I have four cats, three dogs, three hamsters, a gerbil, and five children. I discovered recently I can get library books digitally (I know I'm late with technology) so I read constantly on the kindle ap on my phone. Mostly historical romances that make me cry because lets just face it, real life romance isn't like that after being married for twenty years. But I keep reading them. I don't need to drag my fat *kitten* to the gym because I have a complete set of weights, including safety cage right in my living room, all the handweights one could imagine ever needing, and a treadmill in the basement. I haven't touched any of them in about a year. Too unmotivated to flop from the family room into the living room. I think part of it is a fear of committment to the amount of time its going to take to get myself back into shape. I usually have to wash a load of clothes several times as I will forget them in the washer and then they have that moldy stinky wet smell. Also once I fold clothes in a basket, they stay there until I need to wash them again as putting clothes away? What is that?! I have been known to need to go and buy more laundry baskets because all the ones in the house were filled with clean clothes. I am in a state of barely functioning for my family and my household. As for myself, I don't even know who I am besides mom and student. I haven't bought clothes for myself in years because, why bother. I'm fat and everything looks awful. I don't want to endure that torture. Thank god for wine.
edit to add....I don't need lectured about how the kids "need to help out more". They do their own laundry and sometimes cook their own dinner. Sometimes they help out more and sometimes less. This is about ME.6 -
^Somehow you are keeping four cats, three dogs, three hamsters, a gerbil, and five children alive. You are a modern miracle, if you ask me.9

Yeah, pretty much this. I can't handle more than one child, let alone five. Volunteering to teach them things is one thing, having to live with them is another. :laugh:2 -
Hiiiiiii
I'm an extroverted introvert.
- I work in an extremely extrovert job and love what I do and everyone I work with, but love getting home, not seeing anyone, getting a cuppa and reading in my crotchet blanket with my cats and partner. Or watching youtube. Or netflix. Or playing games. It's like my batteries have ran out and I need to recharge lol.
- I make allot of self deprecating jokes and claim its humour (which in part it is) but actually have some deep-seated self esteem issues due to bullying and trauma.
- I come across as extremely organised at work (and I am, borderline anal, influenced by my dyslexia) but at home it takes me a good 3 days to hang up washed clothes, if I'm being super lazy at my worst I could have every pot out before I choose to wash up. Unless I have an inspection coming up, than that *kitten* is sparkling.
- I advocate for my patients, will go out of my way to stick up for them, but actually hate conflict.
- I have facial diarrhoea. I will often try to say something but my face has already gave it away.
- I preach sleep to my patients but often run on 3-6 hours of sleep for my 14 hour shifts.
- This practice what I preach stuff goes for allot I preach to be fair."Alcohol is a depressant so be careful and know your limits!" ... *gets smashed on nights out*
I'm sure there is more but that will do for now lmao .
NICE TO MEET YOU

Yes. My Dad and maternal grandfather always made watching sports comfortable and cozy. Miss them.1 -

There this Mom at my sons football practice. She shows up there at 6am, ready for the day. She has 5 kids in tow. They are dressed and polite, she has comfy chairs and blankets for all, hot chocolate and she’s beautiful and ready for the day. She seems so happy and she’s everything I pictured myself being but am not. Look over at the bleachers and there’s me, pony tail and hat, jeans, poncho, looking at that woman like she’s life goals and wondering how do I get my life together like that.
The only bit of advice I have is, keep the blanket in the car.3 -

I used to keep the chairs, a bag with blankets and hats, and hand warmers in the trunk of my car at all times. Nearly 10yrs now since my wee me graduated from HS; the bag is still in the car for emergencies or the occasional underdressed homeless person who needs a helping hand.4 -

You're not wrong…. when my little boy was into soccer, I'd go watch his games. The moms would all offer me coffee that they had brought, and it was never coffee…. wine or caesars.5 -

She's a miserable trainwreck, you might not be able to see it on the surface.... but she's a mess.
Everyone has something going on, some are visible, some ain't.4 -
I sell mud pies at Renascence fairs. I only used filtered water (tap water) and the best dirt.0

Its comforting to know that she is most likely a miserable train wreck, isn't it?1 -

I tell my best friend all of the hot mess things that happen to me by starting it with "And on this episode of My Life is a Joke....."
It helps me laugh through it because honestly, 2019 just isn't my year3 -
