9/20--208.5 Lazy day yesterday. Ate some snacks when I really wasn't hungry. Gym tonight.
9/21--207.4 Weighed twice to make sure, I weighed in about 2 hours later than normal. Did not go to the gym yesterday because I was so exhausted. Going out with a friend today to a food allergy fair and then going out to eat.
9/22--208.1 The food allergy fair was great yesterday there were a lot of foods to try out and I found a couple of new foods to eat. Did a lot of walking yesterday and hardly drank any water. Strength coach today.
9/23--208.5 Uptick is definitely from all of the foods I tried at the fair 2 days ago. It also didn't help that I did some extra snacking yesterday. Great workout yesterday.
9/24--208.5 Stopped myself from having the 2nd snack last night...I wasn't even hungry. Also, I haven't run in over 5 months since I hurt my hip and then hurt my ankle. The last couple of weeks I've been antsy to get back into running, but I was worried about ankle since it's still a little sore every so often. Well, last night I said I'm going to go for a run and test my ankle out, so I started up again with W1D1 of C25K so that I could take it slow. It felt great to get back out running and there were no issues with the ankle and I've already planned a 5k run in November.

09/20: 222.3 Our son bought us pizza for dinner. I ate more than I should have.🍕
09/21: DNW
09/22: 228.0 We took our granddaughters to the fair yesterday. We ate corn dogs, frito chili pie, apricot fried pie and drank coke. Felt horrible and bloated after eating like that, but made wonderful memories with those precious girls! They had so much fun on the rides and playing games!
09/23: 226.3 Still trying to recover from the horrible eating over the weekend. Starting over today. I've got to get in the right mind frame because I know how to lose this weight. I've just got to make myself choose the right things and not give into temptation. Also no LNS!!
09/24: 224.5 Stayed on track with my eating yesterday. Also got in a short walk. Almost gave into LNS when hubby asked if I wanted a bowl of ice cream. It was difficult to see him eating some, but I stayed strong.

I’ve removed my goals for this round. I don’t want to call it a goal (at least for now) because that seems too focused on an end point. I’m reframing this journey as an ongoing, lifelong pilgrimage to healthy living with reaching and maintaining a healthier weight as one

Still painting! I just finished my office/studio/woman cave in a gorgeous light/medium lilac. It was paper bag tan before. I am not a dark tan person unless it’s from being outside. Omg, what a difference! Now to reassemble the room. I also painted the door from the kitchen to the laundry room an interesting bright pink and wowser! Nice happy pop of color. The laundry is newly yellow, and the door from there to the garage is bright turquoise. I think my years on the NC coast are showing. All of which is to say that a happy-colored environment makes me happier and less likely to comfort eat. Let the painting continue! Do others of you find that colors in your environment affect your mood and behavior? Oh, and I’m having a group of friends (women) over for a potluck tomorrow to celebrate my new-this-summer garden. Other than the pie I’ve heard is coming, this group leans toward healthy foods. All good! Have a lovely weekend, all!
09/21 - 164
Still haven’t conquered the evening snack monster but I did resist the mid-afternoon urge yesterday. I pulled weeds instead. I went 3 years not sabotaging myself so I don’t understand why I’m finding this so hard now. I can’t believe I’ve gained 30 pounds since last fall. Sigh. But this round I’m not worryingly no as much about weight as about recovering my long-time healthful behaviors. You all help a lot with your inspiring posts. Thank you.
09/22 - 164
09/23 - 165.2
Lots of food and sodium over the weekend. Sigh. But happy equinox, all!
09/24 - 164 (correcting from earlier goof)
Yesterday was a good day. This evening I’m going to a monthly potluck with a women’s group I belong to, so I’ll have to be on my guard. People do bring lots of healthy offerings, but there are also always lots of sweets. My strategy is to pick one and have one bite. I’m taking a salad of baby kale with quinoa, chickpeas, tomatoes, peppers, and a whisper of lemon vinaigrette, so I can always take a decent serving of that! I hope you’re all enjoying the kind of gorgeous early fall weather we’re havin* here!

20: 222.3
21: 219.3 WHOOSH! Patience during a plateau is key!
22: 219.7 Today will be a bit of an adjustment day. I updated my macro/calorie goals to reflect my current weight because oddly MFP doesn't automatically do it. Now I'm working with 110 less calories. I'm sure I'll be fine because I frequently wasn't needing my full calories anyway, but there have been days when I've needed them.
23: 218.9 Yesterday was easier than I thought. Even with the lowered calorie allowance, I still ended up with a 400 calorie deficit without exercising. The jeans I've been wearing are feeling really big, but I don't own the size smaller. So I tried in the pair that's 2 sizes smaller, and what do you know, they fit! Tight, but they're stretchy so I wore them around the house for a few hours. They're JUST comfortable enough to wear now. 🤸🤸🤸
24: 217.8 I mowed the lawn for about 2 hours yesterday, including starting a walking path around the perimeter of our 3 acres...with a push mower. I thought maybe I would finish up the path today, but my body is telling me to just rest.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 120.8 Starting off like last round with a 1.1 lb drop at the start! Whooshes like this tend to be followed by bumps up, plateaus, and then drops as weight stabilizes, so hope that it stabilizes soon! Weight day (deadlift, lunges, push-ups, inverted rows, and planks with cable rows) + 30 minute spin class, so won’t be surprised with water retention tomorrow. Feel like I wrote this 10 days ago too :-) Going for sushi/sashimi today and hopefully with pre-planning today it is IIFYM! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
09/21 120.8 No hugs needed! I am thrilled that my weight is the same as yesterday! My usual pattern with JGM10D over the last several rounds is to have a whoosh the first day, then a 1+ lb gain the next day, a plateau for several days, then small drops to end up a little bit below the first day. Holding the drop the first day is fantastic!!!! Xtrain (spin + HIIT) for cardio today; otherwise rest. Calories good so far! 10.8 lbs to goal!
09/22 120.4 Yeah!!! Holding the whoosh so far! Xtrain this morning - got new gym shoes yesterdays which felt great for the non-cycle part of class! Feel the beginning of a mild cold coming on, so going to take it easy the rest of the day. Live littleneck clams and local garlic, so having clams and linguine for dinner tonight. (cheat day for carbs) Should still be IIFYM with preplanning. May actually make STG this round!
09/23 119.8 Woohoo!!!! Made STG of 120.0. And my lowest weight in the last 13+ years. Less than 10s to goal!!! (of course expect this may bounce up tomorrow as today is strength day, but the ups will even out!) After previous diets that restricted calories or carbs, nice to be able to fit in avocado toast and linguine IIFYM and still lose weight.
09/24 120.9 Well not unexpected given the quick drops so far and that yesterday was strength training day; still down 1 lb so far for the round which is great for 5 days in! Still have another 5 days to get back to that low and STG!

As you can see the last 5 rounds have been horrible for me. I have had family issues, birthdays, TOM, and all 5 of my kids in 5 different schools getting back into routines the last couple of rounds. This will be the first round we haven't had to go out of town, deal with some crazy situation, or worry about what is going to happen tomorrow. We have finally calmed down a bit and I am ready to start on the last 6-7 pounds. I would like to drop my 10 day average by 2 pounds and see 142, maybe even 141 a couple of times on the scale. Good luck everyone!

Round 89: 147.0 - 143.7 down 3.3 Avg 144.99
09/20 - 142.8 nice drop to start the new round. I am officially back to where I was in round 85 before my 4 round diet break. So I’m happy with my progress and I know that I can do maintenance once I get down to where I need to be.
09/21 - 143.7 good day, jumped up because of the sodium and carbs I am sure. We took out youngest to her favorite restaurant for a surprise birthday dinner. Chinese is always filled with a couple of extra carbs than what I would normally eat. I tried to stay away from the fried rice and had grilled shrimp instead of the other meats, but I did have 2 beers.
09/22 -143.7 The birthday party was a success, but drank a little to much in celebration. Food was on point and didn't over do it at all. Will see a jump up tomorrow because of the liquor I am sure.
09/23 -145.4 way lower than the last couple of Monday's and knew I would have a jump up due to my alcohol intake in Saturday. It always hits me 2 days later. Water and clean eating today. Looking forward to having some good drops this round and getting back to where I was.
09/24 -144.5 and we continue the roller coaster down. Hopefully I will be back to my starting weight by tomorrow and then see some progress. Was on track all day and should be under calories today. So far I have been drinking my water and doing what I need to do.

Day/Weight/Comment
9/20: 225.6 (-1.0)/19.1 (-0.1). This is a great start, particularly given that I was likely right at about maintenance in calories last night. Food quality was good, though. IT'S THE WEEKEND... and instead of going into it hopeful (and a little blind), I'm going to think through a plan. Right now. Gym tonight after work, basketball tomorrow... I don't think I can go to the gym on Sunday, because I'll be trying to fix my car with my dad and doing a couple of things to continue to make my house liveable. Dinner tonight should be light/easy; maybe a lettuce wrap from Cook's Tortas. I'm not sure about tomorrow night (what's happening), but it will probably involve more housework stuff (and, annoyingly, cleaning everything because my parents are coming over on Sunday). Sunday my parents will be here, and my wife wants to go wine-tasting with them. I can focus on reds while I'm there, and I'll try to budget some calories for that. Dinner is almost always the problem. I need to track all day, have my "budget" before I eat, and figure out how the heck to stay within that budget. Work is feeling better; rather than feeling so overwhelmed, I have a bit of a plan, and I'm getting support from my supervisor/management team.
9/21: 223.6 (-2.0)/18.9 (-0.2). So far, so good. Stuck to my plan yesterday. Went with a lettuce wrap instead of bread. Lifted weights and did some HIIT on the elliptical. Basketball is happening this morning, then doing some painting/housework in the afternoon. I'm not sure what's happening for dinner, but I'm feeling focused.
9/22: 223.4 (-0.2)/18.9 (0.0). Basketball yesterday was better than it was a couple of weeks before. My shot was a little off, but I was able to move around better than I could two weeks ago. I finished painting another one of the bedrooms in my house as well. Dinner was slightly out of control, but I'm pretty sure I stayed well within calories (ate back maybe half of my exercise calories). Still feeling focused. My wife and I are eating at home tonight, so I'm expecting my weigh-in tomorrow to be... well... super boring
9/23: 225.0 (+1.6)/19.0 (+0.1). I got a little bit squirrelly last night with dinner (and after); it was more about quality (carb-heavy) than quantity. I'm also recognizing the need for a food scale (my old one broke a long time ago), especially when it's difficult to determine the number of servings in whatever I might be making (and that is fixed in a couple of mouse-clicks). I lifted weights in the morning and had a generally very busy day. I'm not feeling discouraged at all. From Friday morning to Monday morning I actually dropped 0.6 lbs, even with the big gain this morning. I think I have my routine at the gym as well - weights only on Friday and Sunday, weights and HIIT on Wednesdays, and basketball on Saturdays. If I'm feeling particularly good on a Sunday I'll do cardio, but basketball is pretty intense, and I'm often very sore after.
9/24: 225.8 (+0.8)/19.1 (+0.1). I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I'm not going to freak out about it. I ate within calories last night, although dinner was sketchy (I'm definitely eating out too much). My food scale should be here tomorrow, so that should help. Ready for some TMI? The BM fairy hasn't visited in a while. I think this weigh-in is attributable to one thing: I'm probably full of $#!+. I'll just keep plugging away and see what happens.

09/20 172.6 assumably almost all water weight but I’ll take it! Over 16k steps yesterday and (almost) hit my 1.5L of water target.
09/21 171.4 definitely need to increase my fibre! Only managed 8k steps yesterday 😞
09/22 169.8 I have now lost over 10lbs since beginning to use MFP again! Water weight is still weight you carry around so I’m good with whooshing it now and getting down to focusing on fatloss soon. 1.8lbs away from being 12st again makes me happy, as I’m definitely using each stone as a milestone. Yesterday I walked my 10k steps, drank more water and even had a curry I’d prepared weeks ago and frozen (definitely not diet-friendly, but I’m not going to throw out food, just work the rest of my cals for the day around it).
09/23 173 super low mood yesterday led to me eating an entire pizza. HAVE to meal prep today. Gutted.
09/24 171.2 trending back down is always good. Started a new workout class, which was very fun. I have my normal pole fitness class tonight so going to be going straight from work, preparing for a late dinner!

Round 90 – Sept.20 to Sept.30
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 162.6, GW – 160.8, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Fell off the recording wagon by trying to do it later in the day, also one day of travel - so tracked most calories but did not record. Ended with 162.6 – up .4 from the last round but did see some 161 during the round so I’m hopeful of better things for this one.
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 – 162.4
09/21 – 162 – Warmup exercises in morning and emptying compost bin in the afternoon. Logged all calories - even the not so good overdoing chocolate almond spread. Nice surprise there as I was still within cals. because my breakfast and lunch were low. No LNS. Trying to get more protein earlier in the day so I’m not so hungry in the evening. Finally have a sunny day here so planning lots of outside work.
09/22 – 162.4
09/23 – 161.8
09/24 – 162 – Some LNS last night but not high fat so hoping it doesn’t show up tomorrow. Nice day today so off to do work outside.

9/20: 213.0 - Not enough sleep, but feel a bit better. Walked a few times yesterday and will try for same today.
9/21: 212.0 – Nicely surprised after a high cal dinner and LNS yesterday! Got in plenty of movement today, though most of it was cleaning, lol. My first weekend (Fri / Sat) testing high cal/carb stacking so fingers crossed all goes well. Results tomorrow and Monday!
9/22: 213.8 - Obviously, still got some tweaking to do, lol .. Friday was nutritious and filling, but yesterday was pure tasty and empty!! (on top of little sleep and a drink both nights). But overall, quite happy w/ my progress the past 10 days ("restarted" @ 221.0 on 9/12/19). Having a great time this weekend with no regrets! Will try again w/ better choices in another 7-10 Days. THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 396.4 (-0.4)
09/21 397.0 (+0.6)
09/22 397.6 (+0.6)
09/23 396.6 (-1.0) – I have just not had a good year. I must finish the year strong! I have an appointment Oct 10th with a weight lost specialist for WLS patients. I have an appointment on Oct 3rd with a knee specialist. I need to see a sleep specialist also because I know I have sleep apnea and it is rearing its ugly head again. My therapist came back from maternity leave and we had a good session last Tuesday and I have been doing better ever since. Still doing WW. Was up 10.8 pounds with them and decided to just start the ticker over with them. My PCP prescribe something for me that is stomach and liver friendly that seems to be helping my knees. I hope you all are still rocking things. It is end of month which starts getting hectic for me tomorrow, but I am determined not to drop the ball on ME. I know I may not make goal weight of 389 but at this point I will be happy with losing 4 pounds
09/24 393.8 (-2.8) - At month ends, I will not have much time to chit chat but I am very happy about today’s loss. I did several things right yesterday. We will see on Saturday when I weigh in at WW. One thing I want to share is I have been getting in the bed before midnight 3 nights in a row. This is compared to 1 and 2 o’clock in the morning. I must say I can certainly feel the difference. My goal is to keep this up even on Friday and Saturdays unless I have an event and I am out until midnight.

My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 GW 348 - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

Eat a little less, buy food that is a little more healthy than normal, walk around your house, find a workout video online (Fitness Blender is great) take baby steps...they will add up and start you on the path to a new healthier life. You are worth the effort!

Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 – 185.8 – Little drop to start, despite the Chinese food I had last night. But here we are at the beginning of another weekend. How many calories in a poké bowl?
09/21 – 184.6 – Happy to see a drop, but I slept in this morning, so that may account for some off it. Apple festival with the grandkids this afternoon. Drinks and dinner with friends this evening. A bit over on calories but got in a 45 minute walk at the park.
09/22 – 184.6 – Holding steady. Gorgeous weather for the last day of summer! Dinner guests this evening, but logging and maintaining a deficit is easier when I can control the menu and portion sizes.
09/23 – 183.4 – Nice drop and, surprisingly, a new low. My younger son and his fiancé stopped by for a couple of days on their way home from a business trip, so we wound up doing a big family dinner and sitting around the fire pit until late last night. Restaurant lunch and take-out dinner today, so I expect a sodium bounce tomorrow. A busy day at work and I wanted to spend more time with family, so I didn’t cook, log, or walk. But I’ll be back on track tomorrow!
09/24 – 184.0 – There’s the bounce, but it’s not too bad. Exhausting day – 14 hours of teaching, meetings, and workshops - but I managed to stay under my calorie limit and log my food. No walk but I got in almost 9,000 steps. Next up: sleep!

First round for me! 34 year old female, lots of weight to lose but perhaps not as much motivation as I need. Hopeful this will help! Only participating for nine days - would love to lose half a stone (7lbs) but would also like the moon on a stick!
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 - Didn't weigh.
09/21 - 19st 6.8lbs - Did week 4 run 2 of couch to 5k today. Got my first heckles from a stranger. Ignored them. 💪
09/22 - 19st 6.3lbs (-0.5lb)
09/23 - 19st 4lbs (-2.3lb) Did week 4 run 3 of couch to 5k today, and somehow racked up over 23,000 steps on my pedometer. Certainly am moving more these days!
09/24 - 19st 2.8lbs (-1.2lb) Tough day of toddler groups and biscuits to avoid ahead! Fingers crossed for rock hard willpower.
09/25 - 19st 3.5lbs (+0.7lbs) Not sure what the craic is with this gain, it was undeserved. I was under my calorie goal with good choices and had nearly 15,000 steps on my pedometer yesterday. Even managed to resist the bloody biscuits but nevertheless here we are. Still a loss overall so no worries but hoping to be back on track tomorrow.

Date – Weight – Comment:
09/19 159.6 round start weight
09/20 158.2 (-1.4) 9685 steps. Some of the weight gain from the dinner dropping off which is good to see, there’s still quiet a bit to go yet. I did good with the food aspect yesterday and I was under cal. I also drank all the water and I feel much better for it. Net enough sleep but that’s what the weekend is for
09/21 157.6 (-0.6) - 17.075 steps + 3km run/walk
09/22 157.6 (-0.0) - 9.125 steps Badminton 1h
09/23 157.6 (-0.0) 15,949 steps - 5km run/walk. The weekend was so busy I didn’t even switch on my computer so I haven’t posted since Friday 😊. It was a good weekend with healthy activities Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday which compensated for the usual extra calorie weekends! I’ve started taking my daughter on runs with me and she really enjoys it. Also we tried a parent/child introduction to badminton and we’ve decided to sign up. It was really good fun for both of us and a good way to get us moving on Saturday mornings. Today won’t be very active unfortunately as I have a team building event for the office, but at least it’ll be fun!
09/24 157.6 (0.0) 4658 steps, I’m glad I stayed at the same weight as I expected a gain today, yesterday we had a team building which was great (flight simulator) and there were lots of things to nibble on etc. I’m so tired I’m going to try not to start nibbling as that’s always what I end up doing when I’m tired. Normally I’m going for a run this evening. or rather yes I’m going running! there said it!
09/25 157.4 (-0.2) W6R2 run done, 13.383 steps. All in all, a good day all over, nothing spectacular but Did my run in the rain, walked my steps, stuck to my calories. Water is the one I have issues with, I hardly drink 1l (although I probably drink 2l of decaf coffee!). Today I’ll concentrate on getting my steps done and drinking my water!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 90 (round 22 for me ) I'm in for another round, tomorrow I will be back home and weighing in on my own scales! After a brilliant holiday. Just 4 weeks to go before our cheeky pre-Brexit break on The Algarve, must get these extra ponds off for then !
Female age 61 5' 4”
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Round goal – lose holiday gain,; be mindful of what I eat & drink and keep walking.
Spoiler
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 137.6 - 13.7 miles walked yesterday. Catch the plane home this evening, weigh in on my own scales tomorrow.
09/21 137.2 – 8.55 miles walked yesterday, arrived back home at 3.30 am.; very minimal sleep & low quality dozing on the 'plane. Have 4 weeks to get rid of this holiday weight before we fly off for our next holiday! New day today!
09/22 135.6 – yes! That's what happens to holiday weight when I get back home & stop having a glass of wine with every meal!! 10 miles walked yesterday including 3 hours of intense dancing last night – brilliant!
09/23 134.8 – yes! another half a pound off. 5.5 miles walked yesterday & a really good food day
09/24 133.6 – so pleased the holiday weight is coming off quickly. 8.55 miles walked yesterday.
09/25 134.2 – 8.25 miles yesterday, CI under CO so guessing just a normal fluctuation.
