Hi-I’m Karen and I am back.
I was gone for a while doing the “30 Day Alcohol Experiment “. It is free online and it is time consuming because you get a video or two daily to watch and have to log in your diary, so I spent more time on that. It was very interesting because it helps you to figure out why you drink. It can also be used to figure out why you eat. It’s your conscience and subconscious not working together (cognitive dissonance)-you wake up in the morning, planning on have a great day of eating or living healthy and all of a sudden, it the end of the day and you’ve poured yourself a drink and grabbed the bag of chips and that’s dinner! Any way, it was educational learning about cravings only really lasting something like 7 minutes and dealing with things that trigger binging, and this can be applied to food, alcohol or even other problem areas in your life. I found it because I was searching in MFP for a “No Alcohol Challenge” and stumbled upon this. The end.

9/30: 224.2 (+0.4)/19.0 (+0.1). Got super busy and did not have time to post.
10/1: 223.6 (-0.6)/18.9 (-0.1). Spent the day at Magic Mountain with my 78-year-old dad. The guy LOVES roller coasters. I was feeling a bit nauseous by the end of the day, partially because I'm still recovering from illness the week before. Still, super-fun day; I walked a ton, and I am pretty sure I was under on calories when considering exercise.
10/2: 224.6 (+1.0)/19.0 (+0.1). My eating has been a bit squirrely the past couple of days. I probably ate twice as much as I "should" have last night, including some dessert. There's been no huge harm done at this point, so I'm going to focus on limiting the duration/intensity of this little "lapse" (meaning, cutting that $#!+ down in its tracks, RIGHT NOW). I am going to the gym tonight to lift weights and do some cardio.
10/3: 224.2 (-0.4)/18.9 (-0.1). Went to the gym last night and lifted weights. Ate okay throughout the day, and I was definitely under my calorie goal.
10/4: 224.4 (+0.2)/19.0 (+0.1). My wife surprised me with one of my favorite meals last night. It was so good... but I don't want to focus on that. I split what she brought me in two, and brought the other half to work with me for lunch. Gym tonight after work.
10/5: 224.0 (-0.4)/18.9 (-0.1). Went to the gym least night. Had leftovers for lunch, which probably wasn't the healthiest option. Going out tonight for sushi on a double date with one of my best friends.
10/6: 225.0 (+1.0)/19.0 (+0.1). Went out for sushi and had about 3 beers over the night. Then I binged at home. No surprise with this weigh-in, but not an emergency either. I want to say that I've been in a bit if a rut, but I think it's really only with the scale. I've been going to the gym 3x/wk pretty consistently, I'm feeling (and looking) stronger, and I am generally feeling a little bit better overall. I'm going to finish strong in this challenge.
10/7: 226.0 (+1.0)/19.1 (+0.1). Hmm. Looks like I went ahead and had a weekend, at least based on the scale. Lunch was questionable, but dinner last night was pretty damned healthy, I think. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I'm still here, and I'll keep working. Went to the gym yesterday, and I felt pretty great. Gym again tomorrow. Stay focused, me. One meal at a time.

9/30- 206.4: Not sure what my weight was yesterday morning, so I ended last round at the weight Saturday morning and going from there. I had a really good weekend, but I wasn't feeling too good. Kind of forgot to eat at some points because I got really busy with stuff. Last night's dinner I did eat healthy with a small mix of some rice and a baked potato, but I'm not super upset about my 1lb gain. I did get into the gym Friday night and I'm going again today.
10/1- 206.2: Not a terrible way to start the new month, but wish I was seeing more loss. Didn't go to the gym yesterday because I was feeling so out of it. Started wearing contacts and they are killing my eyes and making me feel tired. I did push myself to take my dog for a walk, so I got some cardio in. Breakfast and lunch haven't been a problem for me, it's dinner that keeps messing me up. It will be mostly healthy and then one thing on the side is messing me up. I should go back to my baked salmon and just stick to that.
10/2- 205.6: This just made me really happy! I was so worried nothing was going to change. I made it to the gym last night and tried a couple different machines this time; stair climber and the more spinning cycling machine and my usual elliptical. I skipped strength last night and stuck with cardio. I had something in my eye all day and it was bugging me and by the time I was done I just wanted to go home and wash my eyes. I stayed in my cal range (If this app logs poke salads correctly) and Got an ok amount of water in. Thinking I'll hit up Trader Joe's for dinner tonight and make some chicken and a side salad.
10/3- 205.4: Meh. I noticed the days I go to the gym I do see more of a difference in my weight loss the following day. I skipped last night because I got stuck at work and by the time I got home, made dinner, and ate, I was just out of it and felt like I haven't been getting enough sleep. I made Trader Joe's Chicken teriyaki, light on the sauce, and discovered their broccoli slaw! Mixed that all together for dinner and it was delicious. My mom made an amazing pasta Alfredo baked chicken which I had a small piece of, it was just too good. Back in the gym tonight, might try the other gym and get some Jacuzzi time for once.
10/4- 203.8: YAY!!!! I'm so happy to see this loss. I'm also not too surprised. I was really depressed yesterday. Work is taking a toll on me and there's so much on my plate right now. I was overwhelmed and crying at my desk. I was so sad I also hardly ate. Just didn't have much of an appetite at work. I came home and got some Ceder Plank Salmon from Aldi and grilled that with some veggies. I only had a bit and my parents ate the rest. I know I said I would go to the gym yesterday, but I was in such a funk I stayed home and didn't want to talk to anyone. I'm heading to my boyfriends for the weekend so hopefully that will cheer up my mood. I'm also taking my scale with me lol. I know he's going to make fun of me and give me crap, but I know my body and need to see why and when it fluctuates so much when I'm at his house.

10/7- 204.2: I'm so glad I took my scale with my over with weekend. I know I sound obsessed, but I really wanted to monitor how my body changes when at my boyfriends. I did have sushi on Friday (mainly riceless) and a beer, and Saturday we had a birthday at The Black Dear Diner. It was a lot of food, but I didn't have much. I honestly thought I would go up more, but I really tried portioning which helped and I only went up a little bit.
My friend was also in the area yesterday, so we met up for margaritas (I had barely half) and split some apps. I had that as my dinner and glad I portioned. So glad to be going back down, but really need to go back to the gym and keep on track for the week.

10/5 119.5 Yesterday we went to see The Peanut Butter Falcon with DH then Sweet Tomatoes for dinner after. All veggies but did splurge on broccoli cheese soup and a bit of focaccia.
10/6 119.5 Dinner at Carlito’s last night. I ordered chilies relleno and calabacitas. It was two large Hatch chilies dipped in batter, deep fried and smothered in green chili. Soooo good but after eating half, I was stuffed. And then the sopapilla - I gave most to Carl. I fully expect my weight to go up in the next couple of days especially with the pool closing party tonight. I bought low carb Margarita mix.
10/7 121.0 I’m okay with this. I ate tortilla chips and salsa last night at the party and had low carb Margaritas. Ate lots of meat - mostly pulled pork. Delicious and we’ll see what the effect is is in a couple of days.9 -

09/30 190.2 (+2.4) man I'm bouncing all over the place! Still have this cold so maybe I'm retaining water? We will see what happens tomorrow.
10/01 189.8 (-0.4) yesterday was brutal. Sick still. Went to the metabolic clinic for my check in and apparently the 6lbs I've lost in these two weeks are solely water. Super disappointing since I felt like i was making progress. Guess I gotta double down.
10/02 188.8 (-1.0) stuck to plan. 12000 steps. No workout.
10/03 187.6 (-1.2) the clinic results have me wondering if I'm just losing water still. I don't see how it's possible since I was fairly low carb to begin with. I'm down a total of 10.5 lbs since Aug 12 or 7.5 weeks. Yesterday I didn't eat much. A stuffed pepper, an inch of pepperoni, a chicken stir fry (no rice) and a protein shake. I wasn't hungry and I had a lot of energy so maybe it's ok?
10/04 187 (-0.6) no energy yesterday although I did get my workout in. I'm not over this cold from last week so just feeling weak and tired.
10/05 187.2 (+0.2) food was ok. Did 13K steps. Sil sick and TOM coming up so I expect a water hike soon.
10/06 188.4 (+1.2) TOM weight. Ate within plan but did have two margaritas last night. Didn't seem to throw me out of ketosis this am so that's good.

Round 91 – Sept. 30 to Oct. 9
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 162.4, GW – 160.8, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Saw 161.8 a couple of times last round, then self-sabotaged and ended up at 162.4. This round ends with company arriving – daughter and son-in-law and 7 kids for 3 or 4 days. So lots and cooking and prep during this round.

09/30 – 162.4 – This may blip higher as yesterday finished off a chocolate bar and had generous serving of ice cream. Back on the wagon though and tracking carefully today.
10/01 – 161.8 – LNS but only a couple of graham crackers. Not a lot of exercise as had a busy day with late evening out.
10/02 – 162.4 – Another evening class – fun class, but always a temptation to cave to LNS and doing something mindless when I come home. When I think about it, evenings are really what sabotage me. My daytime eating is always good until dessert at supper or LNS does me in.
10/03 – 162.2 – Tired yesterday and didn’t get as much done as I’d hoped since I opted to have a nap in the afternoon but – only some fruit for LNS. When considering whether a nap or push through and work outside, it was the LNS that made me go for the nap. I’ve found that tired=LNS on junk food and LNS=draggy the next day and maybe a headache which just sets up a bad cycle. Today though do want to get out there as winter is on the way.
10/04 – 162 – off to the city for an appointment
10/05 – 162.2 – Did not log yesterday as couldn’t even guess. Avoided snacking but some meal choices were high in sugar.
10/06 – 162.8 – Blip up from Friday. Reasonable eating and a lot of yard work yesterday.
10/07 – 162.2 – Potluck at church yesterday, so again, really no idea on calories. Amazing curries and Chinese dishes and dessert was meh (didn’t take any) so I don’t think it was too bad. Crazy day again today to get ready for company and choir practice tonight.

10/02 - 198.5! Wow, can't believe I managed to lose while traveling abroad for a week. Very pleased with this result and now I feel like I can confidently say that I am in ONEDERLAND!!!! When I started seeing the 190s on the scale before traveling, I figured it was a fluke but here I am! So proud of myself for
10/03 - 198.4! Down a little even though all I did yesterday was be a lazy jet lagged lump with a huge appetite. Getting back on the horse now that my vacation is over, heading back to work, going to the gym and sticking to my food goals! Excited to keep making progress for the rest of this challenge
10/04 - 197.2! Wahoo! So happy to be making so much progress. I'm almost at my second milestone goal of losing 20 lbs! Maybe I can even get there next challenge. Fingers crossed... In the meantime, got lots of work and exercise done and met my food goals. I bought some KetoChow so now I just have to work up the courage to actually try it. I usually hate protein powder texture and I'm worried it will be like that, but I need to try before I decide I dont like it. I figure it will make future travel easier. Just got a temp side job of leading a few camping trips this fall so this could be a good food option in lieu of eating the sandwiches campers get.
10/05 - 197.6! A little bit up but my trend is way down so I'm still happy. Feeling SO tired today, maybe jetlag is finally kicking in or maybe my depressions is just taking over again. Went to a huge tailgate today and managed to drink nothing but water and just eat the taco fillings but none of the taco shells, so I'm pretty proud of myself. No exercise today, barely managed to get myself out of bed today, so I count standing and talking for a few hours at a tailgate as a pretty good accomplishment.
10/06 - 196.6! Still exhausted... can barely get off the couch. Forced myself to do a little house work and some watercolor youtube tutorials. Didn't get much accomplished today, my head and neck are hurting a lot and I feel really rundown.
10/07 - 195.4!!! I hit the 20 lb mark! WAHOO!!! On the down side, I have had a big migraine most of the day and my throat is super sore, but I'm not so tired anymore so maybe I'm trending towards improvement. Had to cancel my personal training session this morning, head hurts way too much to exercise. But sticking to my diet and trying to continue making progress at work even though I feel like I want to just lie in bed all day. Trying to cheer myself up with my big 20 lb milestone! Almost a third of the way to my ultimate goal weight, which is so exciting. I still don't really see any difference in the mirror, but that might just be the paper towel roll theory at play. Accepting this as a win and looking forward to feeling better and making more progress

09/30 :: 187.0 :: Logged all my meals for this day! 150cal over my budget but I'm proud I logged it all after a period of skipping logs
10/01 :: 187.0 :: I forgot to check weight this morning.... but I'm making sure to keep up the food logging! Successfully strayed away from an apple crisp treat left in the office kitchen, even though my coworkers all had some. Under my budget by 200!
10/02 :: 184.2 :: Logged all my meals yesterday and exercised twice - Beat Saber this morning and Yoga class tonight. Under budget by 200 - if I include all my exercise (exercise excluded I'm waaaay over)
10/03 :: 182.4 :: Logged all meals yesterday and exercised for 30 min this morning! been trying for 8 hours of sleep nightly, and last night I got a nice 8.5h. Still feeling groggy from weeks of <8hr/night. Overate by 400 calories, lost my wallet and stress ate, "treated" myself to boba to cheer me up.
10/04 :: 184.8 :: Logged all meals yesterday. Woke up early to hit up the DMV to replace my driver's license, so I only got 6 hours sleep. Best laid plans, amirite? I had a big breakfast (breakfast burrito at del taco) so I'm having a small salad for lunch to make up. I ended up overeating for dinner and I stopped counting calories after I got home from work. I chalked it up to stress, but honestly it was just me feeling guilty for the amount I was eating and not wanting to stop or check myself This happens every week. Over budget, I'm sure.
10/05 :: 184.2 :: Logged only half my meals yesterday, and none today. Feel like I wasted the day away between sleep and games and checking facebook. I know I needed a break but I wish I could have been a bit more productive Over budget, I'm sure.
10/06 :: 184.2 :: Logged all my meals today! I ate a lot of crap - poptarts, halloween candy. I came in at 469 calories below my goal. I got a lot done, like seeing the Dr, picking up prescriptions, washing dishes and cleaning house. Trying to make up for yesterday, I guess.
10/07 :: 182.4 :: I can't believe I lost weight over the weekend, I feel like I didn't do well at all, between not tracking and the sugar from sunday. But here we are. It'd be awesome to hit 180 by the end of this 10-day stretch....

09/30 134.5, pretty happy with this weight especially since it’s after a weekend. My TOM will be mid week so hoping to curb any cravings and still manage to get workouts in.
10/01 134.3, back to where I was at the end of last round and hopefully the downward trend continues the rest of the round. Ending on a Wednesday gives me time to lose any period weight.
10/02 134.2, back to lowest weight and TOM started yesterday. Lots of water and cooking today a meal that gives 3 meals of leftovers do should be set up well for the next couple of days.
10/03 134.1, meals prepped for today (still leftovers) and managed to go to the gym for an hour so hoping continue on downward trend tomorrow going into the weekend with some cushion since always go up slightly.
10/04 133.8, went to the doctor today and weighed in at 135.7, which was discouraging but reminded myself that it’s better to see a trend with the same scale and I’ve been using the same one since the beginning. 70 minute on elliptical this afternoon and prepped meals should hopefully help continuing on a downward trend
10/05 133.8, ate well but skipped the gym to finish a project. Will try to do 1 hour and a half tomorrow to make up for the missed session today.
10/06 133.6, managed to do an 1 hour and a half. Off to brunch so may be over calories tomorrow but go so rarely will enjoy myself. Dinner is the last bit of leftovers.

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.

09/30: 235.2 - I ate way too much Chinese food yesterday. I got my workout in today and am trying not to munch on everything. Not a bad Monday.
10/01: 235.6 - bloated and gross feeling. Haven't eaten the best in the last few days.
10/02: 236 - not been eating the greatest but trying to stay within calories. Hormones and bad food choices = water weight.
10/03: 234.6 - I didn't work out yesterday and over ate. At least the scale is lower than yesterday. I need to get back on the ball. I'll try to do better today.
10/04: 233.4 - I did better yesterday and got my workout in. I really hope the scale keeps dropping. I'd like to see below 232 lbs this round. Happy Friday everyone!
10/05: 230.4 - well that was a pleasant surprise. After a week of not doing the greatest I still managed to lose some weight. My goal is to reach 220 by the end of October and I'll be happy if I'm even close.

weight not dropping quite as fast now which is good. I think slow & steady can be more healthy. I did a cardio day today kinda took it easier but did a lot of walking both outside cuz it was beautiful & on the treadmill at the gym. Also did some time on the stationary bike. Ate well today though my appetite is still just not really there. Mum made a special meal for my sister's birthday so I had as much as I could of it. Her cooking is so good yet always healthy! Was a rice dish with lentils, nuts, raisins and veggies. Yum (: Totals should be good. Bought some ensure today for after workouts. All in all its been a great week. My first full week at the gym & on mfp. It's defintely helping me! Hope everyone's having a good one as well 💗😊

30: 222.0 I expected a gain this morning, maybe not quite so much though. I went to a fundraising meat raffle at a local bar and grill. Drank some red wine. I opted to cheat ordering deep fried pickles. Figured chicken wings would be a decent choice considered the menu options, but they had breading on them (usually bone-in wings don't around here). It all added up, but I had a lot of fun. I am glad that I don't frequent places that have an entire menu of unhealthy foods though. I'm also glad this is at the beginning of the round rather than the end.

09/30--207.2 Surprised about the slight drop since I'm so sore from my workout yesterday. Plan is to take the dog out for a long walk and to get my water in.
10/01--207.6 I'm disappointed, not in the bump in the scale because that can happen for a number of reasons that are out of my control, but more because I had a second snack yesterday even though I wasn't hungry and even though I had set my goal this round for only one snack. This disappointment is going to encourage me to stick with my goal for the rest of the round. Went out with a short hike with hubby and the dog yesterday, it was a perfect fall day. I'm still sore, so I will probably just take the dog out for an easy walk after dinner.

10/03--206.7 I'm so sore from my workout yesterday, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bump tomorrow.

09/30 120.9 Up from 1.3 lbs from yesterday so not the best start - water retention from DOMS, salt (tortilla chips :-) from lunch yesterday, and BP medicine ran out over-weekend and forgot to pick up Rx Friday. Girl Power this morning and will hopefully burn off fat/water with cardio this evening at spin class!
010/01 120.1 Heading back down! Cardio day - cycle in am and then a circuit class in the evening. Ended up doing 80 push ups during the circuit class - hopefully won’t be too sore. Good recovery meal of homemade arugula pasta with smoked yellow tomato sauce, roasted garlic puree and arugula oil.
010/02 119.2 Continued down and back below end of round 90 and almost back to recent low. Will take more time as within 10 pounds of goal and a lot of these fluctuations are more likely water than fat/muscle loss. Girl Power this am (last class sad to say) and finished with our choice - focused on squats - up to 85 pounds @ 5 reps now on back squat and feel comfortable now working on my own. Improved max rep of pushups to 21 and reduced weight on machine assisted pull-up so definitely getting stronger (much better metric of progress than weight from scale!) continuing daughter’s veggie week them so pasta again, cavatappi with smoked eggplant and red peppers with ground beyond beef and smoked mozzarella. Hopefully good recovery meal after heavy leg day (squats/cycle in evening)
010/03 117.8 Whoooosh! This was unexpected, but likely water. Did not have a huge amount of fiber yesterday, so expect that tomorrow weight will be back up. Good news is that if it is water should be able to hang out around this weight once it stabilizes. Busy with work so did not get to the gym this am, so took a much needed rest day. Wasn’t really sore from squats, but power in cycle class was below FTP last night so probably need some recovery time. Going to do an ab workout and then call it a day!
010/04 118.8 As expected. back up a pound but really on track so happy with where I am. BMI is still below 24, but still have some belly fat and flab on thighs, lower back to work on. Power back to where it should be today in spin class - not sure if it was from taking a break or just the other bike was not calibrated the same, but felt much better today. No time for weights today, so will try to work in strength workout over the weekend.

No time to get to the gym today, so going to do a workout on the elliptical here at home. 09/30 62.15kg and a nice early run. Time to get serious and stop settling.
10/01 62.4 kg which I'm hoping is the last of the weekend weight. Gym done and a super busy day ahead.
10/02 61.9kg...that's more like it! 3km run done and aerobics later and another super busy day.
10/03 61.75kg and a nice gym session done. Ready to start today!
10/04 61.9kg...no real reason so maybe just the exercise. 4km ran and last day of my busy busy work days. Physio later
10/05 61.9 kg. Hosting a big party today. We'll keep Keto bit I don't the calories will be in check.
10/06 recovery day. Broke Keto... Broke diet... Feel like a bloated slug!
10/07 64.1kg the bloat is real. The 1st time I've broken Keto in 9 months on the plan. Now I know... Back on it today and Keto for ever!
10/08 63.1kg and the bloat is going. I've been inspiring myself by reading my 1st 3 weeks of diet from January. I did it then so I can do it now. Gym done this am but going back for aerobics after work.

09/30 - 19st 0.5lb (0.5lb loss) - A good day overall! Busy day at work so lots of walking, and was quite conservative with my calories. Will be repeating my couch to 5k run from Saturday tonight, determined to do it all (unless I get chased by another dog!)
10/01 - 19st 0.3lb (0.2lb loss) - Aaaaargh!! I mean, a loss is a loss but I am soooo close to the next stone barrier. And once I see 18st on my scale I NEVER want to see 19 again. Did my repeat c25k run last night and it was amazing. My fitness has improved so much since I started. I mean I need to keep at it, but five weeks ago I never would have believe I could run for eight minutes non-stop, twice. And I didn't get to that insensible stage of losing my breath either. 💪💪
10/02 - 18st 12.5lb (1.8lb loss) - Yesssssssssssss!!!! Fully anticipating a bounce back tomorrow but for today, I'm going to enjoy this victory!
10/03 - 18st 12lb (0.5lb loss) - So that uptick didn't come today, although I'm sure it's just around the corner. I hope I can stay under 19st when it comes though. I had a wonderful non-scale victory yesterday - I completed W5R3 of couch to 5k which is 5min walk, 20min run, 5min walk. Possibly the longest I've run in my life, 100% definitely the longest as an adult. I did it! And I felt great doing it! It was hard but not impossible. I am so proud of myself, and so impressed by the increase in my fitness in just five weeks. This success seemed utterly inconceivable then!
10/04 - 18st 11lb (-1lb) - Hooray! I am only ½lb away from a 3stone (42lb/19kg) total loss! I so hope I get there in the next few days, I know I'm due for a little bump up but I don't want one! 4lb loss for Round 91 so far so right on track for my goal. 🤞
10/05 - 18st 11¼lb (+¼lb) - Honestly, if that's my bounce, I'll take that. Doing another c25k session today so fingers crossed for onwards and downwards tomorrow!
10/06 - 18st 10¼lb (-1lb) - Yes!!! I did it!! 3st total loss!! Anticipating a bump tomorrow due to some poor choices (mainly marshmallows) today but feel very committed to getting it back under control.
10/07 -18st 9¾lb (-½lb) - I didn't deserve a loss at all, I was expecting a gain. Maybe it'll come tomorrow instead.
10/08 - 18st 8lb (-1¾lb) - Well that was a nice surprise! I was well under my calories yesterday and went out to do couch to 5k W6R2 too so that explains that. It's quite pleasing to be approaching 18½ stone. One stone more and I will be the lightest of my adult life. Hope I don't wreck it! I have a habit of self sabotage.

10/01 - day 1 - Oof, I forgot about the arm exercises. But did it! And it feels good to finally get back into the groove of things.
10/02 - day 2 - Woke up sore from yesterday, which I liked :-)
Ok, day two was nice, slightly easier than day one. And it seemed shorter as well.
10/03 - day 3 - yikes, only did half the session. Like my heart isn’t in it anymore... I feel like I get bored so easily these days. And I must say I had a long day as well, and did the session when my energy levels were low.
I will do my session in the morning tomorrow. No sad feelings :-)
10/04 - day 4 - yeah, no, it’s definitely boredom. I miss the weight training. I shall finish these 10 days just because, but then look to start Stronglift :-)
10/05 - day 5 - done. No issues. I’m really uplifted by all the progress everyone here writes about. I love this idea of focusing « only » on 10 days at a time. I think it has made me want to change a particular mindset I have had trouble with. How wonderful to notice these kinds of changes. Happy progress everyone!
10/06 - day 6 - felt good today. I added 10 minutes of stretching because I love it but also because my legs were stiff as can be... only 3 more days :-)
10/07 - day 7 - I outdid myself today, I’m quite happy about how things are going and my future plans.
10/08 - day 8 - oof, went hard today, I will certainly feel it tomorrow ! This challenge was the ideal step forward for me. I am trying to shift my mindset and this is absolutely hitting the mark. I shall implement this concept to other areas of my life and see how I go. By the way, I am ready to start losing again. Just a few kgs. Literally 6 kgs. But at a slooooooow pace. This has always been the hard part for me. To just take it easy, not rush things and enjoy the process. I am really excited for the next round :-) but this one isn’t over yet ! 10/01 - - cut the cream out of my coffee, came in at 1519 calories, 42 net carbs and got in a 90 minute swim
10/02 - 102.9 k
10/03 - 101.7 k (probably water loss but I will take it!) 1735 calories, 29 net carbs and walked 3 miles outdoors, felt super bloated at the end of the day but work up feeling good. Here is to another good day!
10/04 - 101.1 k 1315 calories, 17 net carbs and ran 1 mile followed by leg workout. So far so good!!!
10/05 - 100.9 k 1379 calories, 11 net carbs and 60 minutes swim. Made up for it with intensity this time! Felt it. The scale is moving in the right direction finally!!! That said - its lowering the calories and carbs that has made it happen. Keep telling myself it isn't magic!!!
10/06 - 101.2 k 2454 calories (!!!), 27 net carbs and walk/jogged 2 miles. It was homemade Keto Pizza and movie night with the kids... I am sure I have some water retention and, well, I ate too many calories! I was hungry. The days I eat less than 1500 I feel the hungry at night even on keto. After two days at 1300 I cracked! I am really appreciating this message board for the clarity and accountability I find in posting. It is also helping me face the scale with a good attitude. Usually when I have a small gain, even if I can explain it, I feel demoralized. I think facing the facts head on and honestly is better. I believe I am still on track. Goal of 100.6 for Wednesday!
10/07 - 101.4 k 1853 calories, 19 net cabs, no exercise. It's my birthday today so we went out for dinner. I am still going to feel good about the calories moving in the right direction. The scale will eventually follow.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 91 (round 23 for me ) I'm in for another round, not quite as much holiday weight lost last round as I'd like due to my own sabotage towards the end, I am always so annoyed at myself after a binge, don't know why I let food rule my life!
Onwards and upwards in a new round - Just 20 days to go before our cheeky pre-Brexit break on The Algarve, must get these extra pounds off for then ! I can if I stay strong !!

09/ 133.8 – yippee a good drop for the start of the round, only managed 1.88 miles yesterday due to the persistent rain, but stayed on plan (difficult on Sunday with roast dinner), but only 23 calories over and all other macros in green. See if I can lose another pound by the end of the challenge.

10/02 133.2 – just over 6 miles walked yesterday. Wonderful day out with my lovely sisters yesterday & just 150 calories over my calories out – yay !!!
10/ 03 133.8 – 10.2miles walked yesterday and an hours yoga class;she worked us hard!! CICO in credit, all macros in green.
10/04 133.2 – 5.97 miles walked yesterday
10/05 134 – 8.47 miles walked yesterday, an hour an half in the garden weeding, dead heading, planting and clearing expired annuals.

10/07 134 – 4.6 miles walked yesterday, under calories, but carbs over. Plan for today is to reduce carbs; already pre-logged and planned meals for the day.
10/08 133.6 – 8.51 miles walked yesterday. All macros in green including carbs being well under; pre-logging and planning meals yesterday worked – doing that again today.

I'm in. messed around the last round and bounced up and down the same few pounds. Aim this round is to get into the 139's.
30th Sept: 142.5. Had parents round for dinner yesterday. There was apple tart and ice cream. And cider Back to routine today.
1st Oct: 139.75. I don't deserve this low number today. Yesterday was AWFUL. 3 Krispy Kreme donuts. Crisps. Chocolate. Digestives with real butter. Apple tart. Trifle. No exercise. Just hit my steps that's about it. BUT this low weight has given me a pep up and I'm determined for today. Piloxing class tonight. Really hope I can keep the weight in the 130's.
2nd Oct: 139.25. Absolutely estatic with this. Stayed within calories, did 18k steps and a piloxing class. This is the lowest I've been in 5 years. I'd love to get more comfortable in the 130'3 but TOM is this weekend so lets see.
3rd: Oct: 138.5. WOW! Absolutely thrilled. Yesterday was a good day and went for a walk with my mam and dogs before it got dark. Its getting dark early here now - about 7:15pm and as I live in the country, my evening walks are numbered. I can drive to the nearest town for a walk but its an hour round trip. Piloxing class tonight although we are expecting storm Lorenzo to hit so it could be cancelled.
4th Oct: 138.5. I'm so appreciative that alls going well for me. Stayed within calories, got my steps in and had a piloxing class last night. Another piloxing class tonight. Quiet weekend ahead, but I'll get walks in with the dogs. Promised my boys we'd have a chips and pizza movie night tomorrow night. I haven't had fast food in a long time so I am going to budget for 2 slices of pizza and a bag of chips. We are renting a carpet cleaner for the weekend so I'll be busy washing the couches and carpets. Oh.. and my car seats! I'm a bit of a cleaning nerd.
5th Oct: 138.25. Good day yesterday. Stayed within calories and did my piloxing class.
6th Oct: 140.5. Chips and pizza family night last night. Stayed within calories so not worried about the slight increase.
7th Oct: 141.75. Bad day yesterday. TOM and boy its bad (TMI). Walked the dogs up the woods and had shepherds pie for dinner. It all went downhill from there. There was buttery toast, chocolate bars, biscuits. No end to my snacking. Its like I lost total self control!! Did A LOT of housework too though. Back to normal today. One of the girls brought in caramel rice crispy squares - I did have one but I have it logged. Someone else brought in a box of chocolates... not going to TOUCH them as if I do, I wont be able to stop at 1. Son has training tonight so I'll walk the dog for an hour, get my steps in. Want to finish this round back in the 139's.
8th Oct: 140.5. Went 150 cals over yesterday. So.... I didn't manage to resist the sweets... I ate 9 and logged them..450 calories. SO not worth it. Literally had bread and jam for my tea before bed, was so short on calories. Today my aim is to resist the box of sweets. Good drop today though, I managed to get 16k steps yesterday. Piloxing class tonight, so if I could finish this round in the 139's I'd be delighted. Still TOM though so we'll see.

10/4: 198.0 Choosing to look at the big picture today instead of letting myself get down. I’ve made it under the 200 lb mark, and I’m grateful for that accomplishment. 😊
