Turns out, it's the 60 day mark I'm close to reaching, not 50 - yay!
My cat is dedicated to the idea that she should put her butt in my face at every opportunity. This morning just before the alarm went off, she was walking on me as usual and trod upon my collar bone. My first thought was, "Ow, that's a bone". My second thought was, "WOOO HOOOO, I have bones!!!!". I knew you folks would understand

Bought my FIRST EVER pair of skinny jeans. My legs have always been so large that skinny jeans looked ridiculous (if I could even get them on), so I always opted for straight leg instead. But on a whim the other day I tried on some skinnies in size 12 and they looked GOOD! I was shocked. It took over a year of hard work for this!38

My cat's old favorite place to knead was my collar. She's since shifted down because there's no more fat there anymore!23 -

Hey me too! Though I think the real victory was being brave enough to wear them lol
Congratulations, that’s a lot of hard work paying off!

I guess this is a NSV of the "yes, a successful post-op rehab type". A woman engaged me in conversation when I got into the hot tub today. The chat eventually got around the reasons why we were there and trying to get fit. As I described my situation she told me she couldn't tell I had had any hip surgeries by the way I walked and got into the tub [it is set up in a way that it is hard not to watch people as they get in or out]. That was such a kind thing to hear and SO validating of the effort I've put in the last few months to make my hip replacements good. It made me feel good too!38

Did an honest to God pull-up at the gym today! Yeah!56

I tried on a pair of smaller jeans and they fit!!! I was shocked and walking on air for the rest of the day.28

Today is check-in day for an annual local event. Last year, I wore an XXL T-shirt. Today, I’m wearing an S and it’s too big. The body dysmorphia is getting better, but I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. My eyes still don’t see it.
And may I say, TUCKED IN?!!! I haven’t tucked in shirts since the 80’s. Golly!40 -
after 10 years of obesity, I can at last wear the seat belt correctly, instead of sticking it under my arm so it doesn't rub against my neck.29

My fun NSV was being able to fully wrap towel around body, tuck it and have it stay up. It's Habit to do, but with the rapid weight gain I experienced, only about two inches of towel would reach to be tucked...as soon as I'd take a couple of steps, towel would fall off.
Was walking down the hall recently, facing a mirror, when it hit me towel was fully wrapped and in place!

Today I REALLY didn't feel like eating the lunch I packed and brought to work... It's the same thing I've been eating all week, so no surprise there! I was tempted to run next door to the cafeteria or down the street to Wendy's for a chicken sandwich. I RESISTED and ate the lunch I brought Now, I am just as full and satisfied as I would have been after eating a chicken sandwich, but no with regrets!!25

I got my rings off for the first time in like 1.5 years!!!! YESSSS!21

Great job! Its so funny how much of a mental game it is to eat/not eat what we want! The hunger itself can be satisfied by just about anything but the mental hurdles are the tough ones!3 -
I've lost enough weight that my fat is squishier and when I hold my arms out it dangles down and moves at a different rate than the rest of my arm. I'm amused and can't stop poking and squishing it.17

YES! I can finally wrap a normal sized bath towel around and tuck it too! It's crazy how little things like this are so motivating10 -

I just tried this - how cool!4 -
Currently looking into which is cheaper. Having my wedding ring resized or getting a new ring. It’s soon going to start slipping right off my finger.12

This morning I ran 3 miles for the first time since 2013. And it was awesome!
My plan was to run 30 minutes...usually this equals about 2.4 miles or so because I am slow AF. But the temperature was so cool today that I pushed myself to add 5 minutes. Then, I was so close to 3 miles, I just went for it.
I finished 3 miles in 36 minutes. And I can’t wait until Monday so I can do it again. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️36 -
Just happened now. I sucked in my gut, and actually felt it have to develop a fold. Never happened before.
Doesn't seem like much, but it made me happy.32 -
Bad day, bad mood, bat food choices BUT stayed under my calorie allowance(just) AND got exercise in by cleaning closets ala Mary Tyler Moore.22

I did 200 pushups for the first time yesterday. Not all at once. 100 in the morning 40,20,20,20 and same in the evening. When I started my WLJ last April, I could barely do 2 in a row and was out of breath.39

i hate 3 cinnamon buns and my weight went down, it seem to work to mix it up, so maybe it is good to go off healthy eating and then get back on after having a fattening food. 2 lbs down!14

I ran 2 miles nonstop in 22 mins which is huge for me! A few months ago I couldn’t run 3 full mins without taking a break and struggled with my cadence and breathing. -33 pounds and a little determination later I am in pure shock 😌27

Gonna mix metaphors here, but isn't a great shock!?
I don't run. I even avoided it when I was much younger and healthier! The other day a short test to try out new phone earbuds became a 60 plus minute walk, can't remember last time I did that! All I got was a bit sweaty, 😊🚶🏻♂️19 -

@geraldaltman most definitely! It’s amazing what we think we aren’t capable of at times.3 -
Managed to get my 10k (6.2miles) time down to 45 minutes. Considering I didn't run at all this time last year, I'm more than a little pleased. Well on track to hit a 1hr30min half marathon!30

I didn't mention, except in previous posts here that you might have seen, that if I tried the same walk a year ago, it simply wouldn't happen. It'd have been much, much shorter if at all and with a roller walker. My hips were really really bad. Finally getting hip replacements put me over the top and got me to that walk!6 -
Spent my son’s soccer practice walking and even ran for about 20 minutes (instead of standing around making awkward small talk with all the dads). I did not enjoy the running, but I didn’t die (mostly my hips were angry), so yay. I’m supposed to run a 5k with my sons in December and figured I haven’t run since last year’s race, so I should get on that.18

I wear dresses almost all the time. I like them loose and flowy. Today while at the grocery store my underwear started to slide down all by itself. I had to hurry up with my shopping and go home. Hard not to giggle I was so happy to realize I’m starting to get smaller!!!😂34

I fit in airplane seats comfortably and can easily close the seatbelt. That hasn't been true in years.
