11/11 - 206.2 Man this weekend kicked my *kitten*. I was doing so good and then within a couple days whoop! I was celebrating my birthday early with my friends on Saturday. We went to Glen Ivy and had some drinks and a nice dinner then a little cake. I also ended up having in and out yesterday
I didn't want to be too restricted and honestly just enjoyed myself. We all had a good talk about making better choices and they urged me to make time for myself and workout more because I've been complaining about stopping. I am bummed about my gain, but also very motivated. Hawaii is in one month and I really want to at least feel better and more energetic when I go.
11/12 - 207.4 This round is starting off horribly for me. I didn't make it in the gym again last night. Got in my gym clothes ready to go, but decided not to last min. My bottom left wisdom tooth decided to join the party. Even though it's impacted it has been pushing my gums and I'm still sore. I know I need to push through it, but it's just so painful. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
11/13 - 208 This gain just punched me in the gut
I feel so sick and I'm in so much pain. I called my dentist because I'm worried the wisdom tooth is infected so got them to prescribe me antibiotics. I also asked them for a number to a specialist and will be taking the morning off work tomorrow to go for a consultation. I really wanted to put this off, but I just can't take the pain anymore and will have to get them removed ASAP. I'm scared, but also tired from all of this.
11/14 - 207 It's nice to see the scale go back down! Went to my consultation today and looks like I will be getting all 4 Wisdom teeth removed. I'm scheduled for next Friday and am super nervous. I was honestly hoping to get it done sooner, but with work it's tough.

11/18 - 206.8 I used this past weekend to get a lot of cleaning done. I was hoping to get in the gym Saturday, but decided to take it easy. I've had this pain in my stomach and not sure if it's my TOM approaching or what. I am a little late, but mine is known to be all over the place usually. It's also been a stressful week with work. I left Friday and while driving home got a bad bloody nose out of nowhere. My wisdom teeth thankfully aren't throbbing anymore, but I'm still on antibiotics until tomorrow. Maybe that's what's making my stomach all wonky. Still nervous about the removal happening this Friday morning. I'm just really nervous about being put under (I've never had that done)

@tinabambina29 I was put under for mine (first time) and I was so nervous but it worked out really well for me. I think I did better being under than being awake as any dental work gives me such bad anxiety that I start getting physically sick (a lot of bad experiences) and going under kept me from being aware of what was going on. Luckily the nurse knew my position and stayed in my line of sight and kept giving me reassuring hand squeezes and calming words until I was out. Then she made sure she was the first one I saw when I came to so that I had a friendly face to focus on as my mind adjusted.
Luckily, I didn't have dry socket but man was I scared a couple of times because I pushed the limits of doc's orders. Don't be like me!5 -

11/09-- 207.0 I went to the gym yesterday and it was great, I'm working with my coach to do 10 regular pushups and I'm almost there. Then I went out and had a great dinner at Panera Bread with my hubby. Plan today is to go out and do another day of c25k and then take dog out for a long trail walk.
11/10--207.4 I had a great run yesterday, but the rain kept me from taking the dog on a long walk. Going to see strength coach today and then take dog out on that long trail walk. Dinner out tonight, so I will probably be up tomorrow.
11/11--208.1 I had a great dinner last night, but even better was that after dinner both my husband and I decided that we didn't need any dessert. I went out this morning and finished w4d3 of c25k, and then I went to a spa day that my husband had purchased for me.
11/12--207.2 Going out to an event for lunch where I get to have unlimited soups for a donation. The soups are made by the top chefs in the city, and all money from the lunch goes to charity. So, I expect to be up tomorrow. Today is rest day for me.
11/13--206.3 I made a mistake and the soup event wasn't yesterday, but is instead today, so no bump up today. However, I expect the bump today. Strength coach tonight.
11/14--206.3 Soup event was great yesterday. Instead of having full bowls of all the soups I wanted to try, I instead only asked for 1/2 of a serving. I went to my strength coach yesterday and it hit me that after 9 months of training, I am at the point where I don't think to myself how I don't want to work out with my coach, but now it's just a regular part of my weekly schedule. It's something that I just have to do, it's no longer a choice. The plan is to go out and do another session of c25k, but after my workout yesterday my legs are sore, so who knows.
11/15--206.7 No run last night, I was so sore and exhausted from workout the day before, but I will run tomorrow. The dog woke me up early this morning and I couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to go to the gym before work instead of after. I hate going to the gym so early in the morning, but it's definitely nice to have it done before work.
11/16--205.9 I did some extra snacking last night, but I know part of the reason for the snacking was that I was very tired. I'm going out for a run this morning, and then depending on whether it rains or not, I plan on taking the dog out for a long walk. My husband is making tamales this weekend.
11/17--207.6 Yesterday morning I went out and finished w5d1 of c25k and it was great. Sadly, after I came home from the run I did nothing for the rest of the day.
Looking back, I don't even think I drank more than 1 glass of water yesterday and today I woke up dehydrated. I'm going to see my strength coach today, and definitely will take dog out for a longer walk today. My husband is still making tamales today, but today a friend of ours is also coming over to help with the tamales.
11/18--207.0 My weight this round has definitely been up and down, it's been a 2.2lb swing. I had a great workout yesterday and at the end of the workout my coach, a man of very little words, told me that I had done great over the past week! If it's not raining after work I plan on doing another run of c25k, and then I plan on watching another episode of The Crown.

11/09 DNW out of town for start of round. Did intervals this morning with dog and kids - run until HR reached 85% of max, and then walked until it reached 65% (repeat as many reps) so got a nice cardio workout in, though may have put too much strain on my achilles tendon. Went to the health and fitness center in town and was able to get my strength workout in so hopefully worked off the coffee milkshake (with whey protein at least) I had for lunch! Challenge dinner out tonight again!
11/10 DNW Was over on calories yesterday, but not too bad since I switched strength training to Sat from Sun so will just go under target for today. Achilles still a little tender from the intervals yesterday, so treating with ice and ibuprophen (rest + elevation too). Leisurely walk this morning with dog and kids helped, but avoiding any high impact exercise for now! 3 hour drive home, so will try to keep it elevated! Back to normal routine tomorrow and weigh-ins.
11/11 114.6, BF% 27.4 Glad to see a drop after the weekend with ice cream, a milkshake, pasta and wine! Muscle weight increased (if I believe scale :-) so back on track for the round! Incorporating Marcona almonds into the lentil/kale salad (https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/make-ahead-lentil-salad) with grilled chicken tonight!
11/12 114.0, BF% 27.3 Steady drop again! Back to upper end of ideal weight for my height and 1.2 lbs to get back to previous low, but NSV like waist measurements and visible flab are definitely improving! Strength training in the am with trainer, and then will fit cardio in after work. Extra calories today, so fettuccine and shrimp for dinner.
11/13 114.0, BF% 27.2 Holding steady for weight, but BF dropped by 0.1% (often see bumps with increase carbs and weight training). Cardio after work.
11/14 114.0, BF% 27.3 Still holding here… Strength workout today with trainer felt great and that I am making progress! Followed up after work with spin class for cardio - average HR at 78% of max for the class.
11/15 113.6, BF% 27.1 Yes - going down! Not the typical whoosh of a pound (which usually bounce around more) but modest drop so might be more stable! Spin class this morning for cardio and going out for dinner tonight with family. Likely sushi so may see a bump with sodium tomorrow but should be OK calorie wise. Not likely to get back to low of last round, but OK with this total loss if can hold here!
11/16 112.6, BF% 26.9 Whoosh! + Fiber finally kicked! A little surprised by the drop given 2 meals out yesterday, so will take it! Having friends over for dinner so calories will be over for the day likely. Started to go to the gym for xtrain, but the lot was blocked off for football later in the day and did not have time to walk from one of the other lots. Decided to treat it as a complete rest day! (have not been good about taking those lately but know I should!) Making an iron sculpture in the afternoon with family - will be cold outside carving the “scratch block” but looking forward to it!
11/17 113.2, BF% 27.0 not surprised. Great dinner with friends, but over on calories for the day (food + wine) but worth it! Weight lifting after lunch with DH, and will probably go to spin class right before dinner for cardio to get back on track!
11/18 114.4, BF% 27.3 The weekend bump of food wine + DOMS from strength training yesterday! Down 0.2 from last Monday, and down a total of 0.4 for the challenge so progress! Actually pretty close to target with new calories (should be about 0.49 lbs/10 days) but slower than rate in the past so just need to get my mind around the fact that with more calories now (within 100-200 of maintenance calories) the rate is slowing down!

Victory was at-hand, but a life-changing incident happened, yesterday, and I completely abandoned my MFP lifestyle.

11/13: 162.2 - I stayed within my calories and exercised, too! Next few days are going to be very busy, but I will do my best to keep my progress going strong.

Round 95 – November 9 –18
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 163.6, GW – 162 something, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Last round was crazy going up into the 164’s and even saw one weight that was 165 though it was down when I reweighed. This round have a couple of days to the denturist (and shopping in the city) but if I can keep that under control everything else is on an even keel.

I did weigh the last couple of days but didn’t get on here as was too tired and distracted by the time I got home. Some of my choices yesterday were way too sweet but did try to keep total calories in mind so am hoping I don’t see a big uptick tomorrow.
11/17 – 164.8 – There’s the uptick from eating a couple of danishes yesterday. Actually was 165.2 the first time I stepped on the scale – a number to motivate me. Feeling a little under the weather today like I’m fighting cold germs and it’s rain/snow outside so going to take it easy and rest and drink lots.
11/18 – 164.6 – A pound up from the beginning … but it was a stressful week. Feeling heathier today and looking forward to next round. Got a few little projects done last night and ate well so that is always good for setting the tone for the week .9 -

11/09 130.5 I did a ton of exercise yesterday, thinking weight is partially DOMS. However, doing a lot of comfort snacking today...so tomorrow that will be to blame for the still high number!
11/10 131.5 Snacking yesterday. I was stressed, hungry, cranky. Also went out for a burger/fries and a beer last night. I got carded and refused a beer (apparently that is the law here, although my husband and I and my friends of 50+ years have never had this problem before!) Just drank half of both of HIS beers. (Which means all the calories were his, right?)

11/09 394.2 - 2.0 lbs. – I quit WW today. I am going to stick with MFP and seeing my therapist every 2 weeks for now. My goal is to lose each round for until the end of year. I don’t want to put any pressure on myself right now with goals. My main goal is consistency. I reset my MFP ticker today also. I purchased an audible book on intermittent fasting by Jason Fung and someone else. Trying to get my head back in the game. I lost 0.8 pounds last round and another 2 pounds this morning! So, I will continue to eat low carbs for sure.
11/10 396.8 +2.6 lbs.
11/11 397.8 +1.0 lbs.
11/12 400.8 +3.0 lbs. – Well I am getting back on track today. Weekend not good. Yesterday I had Chinese food late and it was very salty and greasy. I threw the rest out which is a win for me. I got by 6500 steps in Sunday and Monday and logged food on MFP. I have to get back used to using MFP. I did not have my Fitbit syncing here since I was using the WW to log my food. Finally got that working right! Today has been good so far. This too shall pass. I was looking at the end of this round and I see it ends on a Monday which means I have to have a plan for this weekend and Saturday we are having a girl’s night out happy hour party out from 4:00 to 9:00 for one of our friends who just retired. I am thinking now I am going to have a fish entree for starters. But I must have a plan in place before I go.
11/13 398 - 2.8 lbs. I got in over 7000 steps yesterday and was in bed before midnight. Not perfect today, but ok. I plan on getting in another DVD tonight and I already did a 15 min walk at work. I forgot how much I loved the little message when you close your diary everyday -- If every day were like today... You'd weigh 385 lbs in 5 weeks! I always found it very motivating Do anyone else love that message?

11/18 394.8 -0.6 lbs – I was very pleased that I was able to lose over the weekend with 2 times out at a restaurant. It took great planning, but I did it. I did not feel deprived at all. I am not a drinker so that helps. Even when I did drink it was only to be sociable. On Saturday I nibbled off my sister dessert and that satisfied me! For dessert yesterday I had 2 dark choc caramels vs a piece of carrot cake I had planned on sharing with the group, but as it turned out we went to another restaurant and this restaurant did not have anything worth wasting my calories on. It has been a long time since I have lost weight over a weekend. So even though I gained a bit this challenge, I am so happy with my comeback considering I went back over 400 this round and my good weekend too. I am now ready for round 96!

I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.

11/09 – 180.0 – Well, there’s that sodium bump. My son is up this weekend for a wedding and his 3-year-old is having his first solo sleepover with us. My daughter brought her boys by to play with their cousin and we wound up spending the afternoon at the local children’s museum. No time to cook, so dinner was pizza and ice cream all around.
11/10 – DNW – Busy day!
11/11 – 181.4 – Great family weekend. Not such great food choices, including too many snacks. I’ll be working on getting back on track this week.
11/12 – 180.2 – Headed back down.

11/14 – 179.6 – Another really busy work week, but I’ve kept up with my logging and met my calorie goal. Too tired to finish my posts the last couple of nights. Hoping to get caught up with the group this weekend.

11/16 – 178.2 – Lazy day hanging out at home with my husband – a nice break after a busy week! Went over my calorie goal due to some extra snacks, but I logged everything and still managed a small deficit.
11/17 – 177.4 – Yay! Looks like my week of damage control has paid off. (Nothing extreme – just being more disciplined and keeping to my usual calorie goal most days.) A bit over on calories again tonight, but still kept it under maintenance level. No restaurant or take-out food this weekend, so I’m hoping not to see the typical sodium bounce tomorrow.
11/18 – 177.4 – And it’s a wrap! Down 1.2 lb. I feel pretty good about being able to turn things around after a big bounce at the beginning of the round. On the other hand, I haven’t gotten much walking in, as the weather’s been awful and I’ve been swamped with student papers. But on to the next round…
