Did the extremepump class today. The plan for tomorrow is to do a Peak 10 Cardio Interval Burn DVD.
Getting a big donation to the Salvation Army ready. Will probably go there Wednesday.
Barbara – I was coughing, had an antibiotic and it went away. Now it just came back. I’m thinking that maybe it was going out in the cold wind in Iowa that triggered it. So it’s really only been going on for a week. I plan to go to the MD today. And I really didn’t feel it was that serious that I needed to go see an MD in Iowa so I waited until I got home. Update: she gave me another antibiotic and told me I can take cough medicine as needed. Oh, BTW, at the extremepump class I used lighter weights than I regularly use.
Lisa – lovely quilts
Julie – first off, welcome! I’m so very sorry to hear about your mom.
Carol – I have weird breakfasts, too. Soup sometimes, really, whatever I want to finish up. I’ve had chicken, vegetables. So you’re in good company
Lynette – Jess is in her second year, I’m not sure if vet school is 3 or 4 years. Then she has a year of clinical.
Ceramics tonight then mahjongg.
Welcome everyone new!

Barbie- So true about the mean spirited so true here is better no grumps lol
Katla- I’m tough of course I’ve gotten a snippet of mean comments before. Luckily the MFP can take posts down if need be tho. Shared a recipe got unsolicited parenting advice for having JRs foto as my profile pic. Then ripped into a new mom of a newborn.More concerned for the new mom since that’s a fragile time she had the courage to diet for the first time was over 200lbs. Hope she didn’t give up.
To piss them off further I can always change my pic to Vegan stuff the lady was anti-vegan too.

Janet OKC: You look fabulous!!! :flowerforyou:
Heather: I love your Christmas to-do-list!
Amber: I can’t believe the behavior of some people. You don’t deserve mean comments, nor does anyone else. I’m happy you were able to get your tree without JR knowing.
We are having a gorgeous sunny day after a frosty morning. Yay!!!

Lisa beautiful quilts!
Cheri2 -
Lisa your quilts are gorgeous, they will be family keepsakes for years to come. I had to laugh at the last one, you totally disappeared, I too am 5'2" , sometimes a challenge lol
Heather, I love to decorate but alas when I'm done it looks like a child did it. A friend sent me a picture of her gorgeously decorated tree, I was too embarrassed to show her mine. I'm sure many will enjoy your outdoor lights.
Thank you all for your kind comments, I post them occasionally more as a reminder to myself that I need to persevere. Never going back!

Lisa The grandkids are gonna love their new quilts! Free motion quilting on home machine is fascinating - do you program your machine with a template you draw yourself, or choose a machine preset pattern? They turned out so great!
Julie from Texas I'm so sorry about your mom. I lost my dad & sister the same way, but I was an adult - big difference. I feel such sadness for "young Julie". (((hugs)))
Carol What fun to eat salad for breakfast!
Janetr I love your before & after photos. They are so inspiring. You look wonderful!
Amber I just read this thread now. I used to follow others, but the disinhibited-mob-mentality-snarky-bashing was irritating, so I quit.
Heather I'm glad my photo of the house being moved gave you a chuckle. It is a startling sight!

@ydailey Yvonne I just read the post you left in the November thread. That was a lot of emotional stuff to tackle all in one day. I would have lost it, too. (((hugs)))

Lisa: I'm awe of your talents - writing, painting, and quilting. You are amazing. 💚💚💚
To everyone in the bad eastern storm, hope you are safe and don't have to travel. Our snow wasn't plowed with the same frequency and thoroughness as usual, and cars are getting stuck or messed up in the ruts. Not worth it.
Stay well, friends. We can do this.

Hello all,has been too long since I posted. Finally skimmed thru Nov .....now this mo is a lot of BDs & anniv come Jan.I’m done with rich food including desserts. Just craving salads & a simple sandwich suits me fine.
We had 5 ppl for Thanksgiving, but went out for the meal. The family is great at helping, but was still tired after all returned to the Carolinas & DD to her home 6 miles away. One good thing was DH insisting they needed to take food home. A relief to get my fridge cleaned out. Too much food
Makes me nervous....not that. I will eat more, but sure wish I could toss the lot!
Sis went on a cruise with our DDS.She sit beside a coughing couple on flight home. Three days later, she was in hospital with pneumonia, bronchitis & some type of virus.Just got home, very weak & tired after 2 wks in hospital.
Have decided to get rid of my 6qt Instant Pot. Practically new, used 3-4 times. ...with extras.Just too big for two ppl.Think the 3 qt will be fine. only keep a small basket in freezer for leftovers. When full.......it’s time to sort/toss.
I keep track of food, but lose very very slow. This old body likes where it is Ah,well.
Told Grdaughter’s boyfriend I wanted him & DH to get a Lazyboy chair out of here. He’s a wt lifter.Next thing I knew,he picked it up !!!!,walked to door,to garage & there it sits. Friend is coming this wk. He wants it for a Sister.
Past my bedtime. Happy December to all. Pat in Oh7 -
Hello ladies Monday was ok and I did eat an impossible whopper for lunch... I don’t eat meat so this plant based burger I figured would be ok as I had no time for lunch because a client was coming. So I log it in and that blasted thing had 41 grams of fat and 700 ish calories.
I guess I will just go back to my home veggie burgers... good lord I feel like a toad.
I hate my food baby and I want it gone. It’s frustrating as I never had one until this last year around 52.
I really need to get back in shape as I don’t want to kick the bucket.
Keep up the good work everyone and I did turn down cookies today so that was a plus! Lol6 -
Rori, and everyone who's mentioned it, thanks for the quilt comments (and other comments too, I'm grateful).
Karen, no templates, no software, I just drop the feed dogs and use a special head that doesn't clamp down the fabric tight to the surface, then "draw" lines on the fabric with thread by moving the material in swoops and swirls. Some use a pre-drawn template to draw their lines, but I just... move as the space takes me. Effectively random. I also make sure NOT to pre-wash my fabric, as I want it to show texture in the quilt when it shrinks slightly from the first wash and dry.
JanetR, your pics always make me happy. Thanks for posting them.
Later y'all,
Love,
Lisa5 -

Lisa That is nifty about the random quilting. One more question. How do you keep the fabric from getting too bunched up? By the way, I love all three quilts but am partial to the John Deere one. I am a John Deere fan.
Bugglover Was the Impossible Burger good? My 10-year-old granddaughter loves the impossible burger they get from Wegman's. She doesn't care for meat…except bacon, LOL!!!
Janetr My decorating attempts look like a child's, too.
