    As a 10 year old, I came face to face with a grizzly bear as it tore the screen door right off of our house. I threw all of the trunks and suitcases out from underneath the bed, crawled back in and pulled them back in front of me.

    I could feel my consciousness slipping away as my exhausted body slowed.
    I gave up fighting as I watched the beach grow smaller and smaller, then only darkness as it finally pulled me under.

    Walking on the quiet frozen lake is a first for me, the creaking doesn’t bother me but I can’t figure out what that strange thud noise is I keep hearing.
