Total loss for January: My scale went up three pounds overnight from my late night feast. Oh well. It's still a bit lower than the beginning of January, and my ten-day average weight is definitely back down at/below goal about 2.25 pounds less than the beginning of the month. Last week's scale weight was an anomaly; I had that nasty gut virus running amok in my intestines.
Congratulations! This is great! I'm looking forward to reading about more and more successes for the next hundred pounds. You got this! In a month or so, consider resetting your calorie goals, and in six or ten months consider making your monthly goals a little smaller, and STICK TO IT!

February will be tougher I'm on vacation in Mexico for 12 days and I am sure I will slide back on my diet a little it is vacation

We all hit plateaus, just a way of our bodies adjusting. Stay strong, stay focused.
Thanks so much @holli1ch ! Appreciate the encouragement and support. Not for nothing, I clocked in at 153.9 this morning!
From 155 to 153.9 = AWESOME!
Just stay with the program.
I have to remember this is a marathon, not a sprint.
Sigh. 155 again this AM.... marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint.
You CAN do this. Stay focused and remember your 'why'.
Why are you changing your habits? Why are you feeling better because you have lost weight? Why are you looking better because of the changes you are making? Why are you doing this?
Marathon not a sprint...marathon not a sprint...
Not happy to see the scale go up, but I also have confidence that it’s just the nature of the beast. I exercised and stayed in my calorie goal last week. I’m sure the scale will reflect that...eventually. 💕
You said it sister!
My scale went up 3.5 pounds overnight. It was so much that even my TREND weight went up a third of a pound. I know why; it was all the bagels I had for supper. All the mass of food in my system, the glycogen top-off, and all the water I drank since bagels are fairly salty. This, too, shall pass. Try not to let the daily up/down cycle get in your head without paying rent. It's the LONG VIEW that matters. You should see the chart of my daily versus long term weights. Crazy stuff.
Sigh. 155 again this AM.... marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint. marathon not sprint.
See above! It's not even a marathon. It's not even a 100-mile trail run. It's a beautiful journey that will give you enjoyment and tsuris for the rest of your life, and it will provide some beautiful scenery on the way. It will also offer opportunities for side trips off the path, and you should take 'em. They lead to really interesting and lovely places to see. Just get back on the path when you're done with the side trip. See you on the path!
