Took the extremepump class. Not going to exercise tomorrow so we can get an early start.
Welcome everyone new!
M – the same amount that your insurance that would require you to wait a full year. In other words, if you go the private route, would you pay (let’s just say) $100 and if you go the other way (public?) where you’d have to wait, would you still pay $100? Or would it be covered 100% whereas private you’d have to pay something. I can’t imagine not knowing the times/days of classes. When I was studying exercise prescription, a lot of the classes I took were dependent on whether I could make it to the class or not.
Evelyn – yes, that’s what I meant.
I’m thinking that while I’m in FL I won’t log (or maybe just not every day) but try to be more mindful of what it is I’m putting in my body. We shall see how it goes, what I weigh when I get back.
Never had a really flat tummy but lately have I got rolls no matter what I do! Well, some people might not think they’re all that bad, but because I very seldom had them before…it’s making me very very sad and disgusted with how I look. Like I have this one exercise top, I know that I would never have bought it if my rolls were so visible at the time but now…..I’m going to donate it to the Salvation Army. I’m wearing it now just because my other exercise tops are packed away, but once we get back…..
After exercise stopped at the Salvation Army. Got a pair of pants. Then to Aldi just to get frozen foods.
Pip – what’s with the gym you go to? Things seem to get stolen from you left and right. I’m so sorry this happened to you.
Vince wants to shut down the network tonight so I won’t be posting tomorrow. Then it’ll be a while before we have internet so I probably won’t post until Wednesday
Bowling today. We just packed the car (well, almost). There are still a few last-minute items that have to go in the car. Will take a shower. Not going to ceramics or mahjongg tonight. I talked Vince into subbing bowling while we're in FL. Even tho it's only for a month, even our secretary agreed that something is better than nothing.

That's what I'm telling myself.
I'm climbing more stairs today and I just got back from Pilates which helped stretch things out a bit, but which will also leave me with aching hamstrings tomorrow. She focuses on the things I don't work myself!!M – glad to hear the surgery won’t cost you anything
Michele NC
I don't think I've ever paid for a surgery, and I've been for a few (at least 10). I've paid for portions of consultations with specialists, but one way or another surgeries have always been covered ... so free.

Got behind again!
Viv in UK-good suggestion about a group. I consciously started doing things at church (like choir, council and the ladies craft group) so I would not completely isolate. Having done that for 5 years, I guess I am now ready to spread my wings a bit more. Have gone a few dates with a gentleman, but he likes to drink, so no thanks. I will check some things out as they present themselves. However, I won’t get into any sort of relationships just to have them! So sorry to hear of the spread of cancer to brain in your sister-in-law. And must be something in the air—I had one of those off kilter spells yesterday-out of nowhere. Better today.
SuziQ-I agree with your regarding the couples. I am just taking stuff as it comes and I am ready for it. Made sure I didn’t go into complete isolation. Now just figuring out what is next. It is a process. Your flower arrangements are cool.
Lisa in AR- great that the man sought you out. - great that the man sought you out. Years ago when I was in grad school at Ohio State, campus security contacted me that a man had damaged my car in the parking lot (he contacted them to report the accident). He wanted to make sure I got his insurance information. It was a rear door and drivable, but I was amazed someone was that responsible.
Machka-I had deviated septum repaired a number of years ago-much better breathing and far fewer sinus infections! Your university system sounds a bit different than what I am used to here.
Was 60 degrees here today. Rain moving in and temperatures start dropping back to normal tomorrow. Work was busy with odds and ends today. Had to check on a construction project we have going redoing an outside area for staff. It will be much nicer when done.
Got to gym a bit late. Think I may have upped some of the weights a bit much (just up to the next level on some of the machines. Will know better in the morning. Sometimes its seems a weight is a bit light, but the next up may be too challenging--of course, I have never regularly used weight machines, so it does take some learning. However, I find it adds to my energy and the body is toning up and my strength and balance are improving-so one workout at time!
I'm not really down in the dumps about my life-more like with a new year, trying to figure out what further positive changes I can make.
Positive thoughts to all who are struggling. I enjoy reading every post-just can't comment on everything. Off to bed so I can go in a bit early tomorrow.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio

Had to take my bike into the shop, not shifting right. Having to ride my summer bike. Came out of the gym and someone took my pouch from my bike that had my rear light. Great
Sorry to hear that!
That's one of the reasons I don't ride my bicycle to work. There is a place to park the bicycles now, but it isn't very secure and I'm nervous about leaving my bicycle etc. there.

The university system here is different from what I experienced in Canada too ... I've never quite got used to the one here. I can see some good parts in it ... half lectures/half workshops is a good feature because, theoretically, it allows us interaction time. But a lot of it just seems way more complicated than it needs to be.
And that's what I'm hoping for ... fewer sinus infections, less sinus pain and other headaches, less waking up choking in the night, less difficulty breathing when I'm exercising.

So today I ate from 12-:30/3:00! It was artisan hearty toast with wholly guacamole avocado cup spread on top, with hunks of herb buttered salmon that I cooked smooched in. Oh lawdy! I sipped my ramen soup, just about a cups worth, and sipped coffee! Then my one portion of Japanese black sesame crackers became 4 portions. But I logged it all.👍. I drank 7 bottles of water today, 16 oz bottles. I rock!💖

@KJLaMore What a cool idea. How are the milk cartons stuck together? I love the coloured tops on the inside!
It's a bright but cold day. Slept right through last night! Can't remember the last time that happened!
The scale is moving down again 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Today is relatively light. Just Craft Group to attend. I'm working on a cross stitch of a zebra for my African themed bedroom.
Wed: 10am meeting with garden group for coffee and a browse round local garden centre, then doing our weekly shop afterwards. I go to my Crochet group after dinner. Working on a winter cardigan.
Thurs: Dancing at 10.15, Shakespeare Study Group after lunch.
Fri: 10am Latin Study Group, the Parchment Craft after lunch.
Sat: am visit to Ikea with DYD.

Up way too early. MRI results are not leading to answers. It did show something unrelated and have to go for an ultrasound on thyroid Doctor will follow up in 3 months and I will keep track of symptoms/numbness in hands. Long work day ahead.
Yesterday’s journal prompt was: list 5 decisions you’ve made recently that you are happy, proud or satisfied with.

TERRI love the Dust poem my sentiments exactly

Terri- A LOT of hot glue keeps the milk jugs together. The kids had a ball in it yesterday. They spent a great deal of time unscrewing the lids and putting them back on. They would pretend they were "drink dispensers", working at a snowcone/slurpee shop. Each different color a different flavor. They also found out that whatever toy they put inside a milk jug is gone for the next month. (They put about six items from the two doctor kits that I have into the milk jugs. *sigh) ON another note: I love your African themed bedroom! Did you paint the mural yourself? And that headboard is wonderful! Can't wait to see your cross stitch zebra!
Pip- Ugh! Sorry about the bike light theft! Isn't this the second light taken in about a months time?
Machka- I am not much of an emoji person (although I really like some of them); but imagine an emoji of myself bowing to your superior physical abilities! Wowsa! 25 flights of stairs a day! My legs are aching just thinking about it!
The weather here has been so wonderful the past few days! It has been in the 40s the past two days; AND SUNNY!!! Today it is supposed to be another sunny day and in the 50s! Looks like we will be walking without hats and mittens today! On our walk yesterday we stopped and chatted with a couple of neighbors. One of them offered me about five pounds of onions and another offered me some butternut squash! Good thing I had an empty seat in the stroller! The kids were thrilled with our "shopping trip!" lol On the way home they said, "Now you can make soup!" How right they are! Both are ingredients in my Curried Butternut Squash and Pear soup (which I finally got the kids to try last month and they liked it). mmmmm! Grateful for generous neighbors and good soup!
Love and hugs to all! ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)3 -

yeah, b4 it was my headlight, this time was my rear light and pouch.
right now its 29 degrees. I am taking the car. way too risky taking my summer bike out in this kind of road conditions. skinny tires and black ice don't mix, plus I'm wearing a backpack cuz this bike doesn't have a rack for a pannier so I'm top heavy. I hate taking the car but I'm not stupid. It's supposed to warm up tomorrow so I should be able to ride again, hopefully4 -
wow. I started my new antidepressants last night, and i hope this will wear off, as I have medicine head.. it did help me sleep even though my bladder woke me up. oh well. will read up on it
I have the day off. so will get stuff done here hopefully..3 -
today is my 2875 logging streak day10

Barbara I think it would have helped if my BFF had told me exactly what I did that was egregious enough that she had to walk away without talking it over. But if I was talking behind her back in an unkind way while pretending to be her good friend, it wouldn't have been such a mystery. You really didn't need a "friend" like that.
Heather Traveling makes your husband anxious, regardless of how much fun the trip is, sometimes to the point that he has a meltdown beforehand. He doesn't completely love dancing. He loves you & doesn't want to disappoint you. But it's HIS birthday. He likes cricket. He likes his men friends and (I think) his daughter. He likes the grandchildren. He likes you. He likes your cooking. What else does he like?
JanetO Congrats to your daughter!
Rita Super Bowl parties, to me, are like going to Las Vegas. I'm glad I did it once.
Flea more doggie heart failure talkSo we discovered that a sleeping respiratory rate in the 30's and persistent slight coughing were indicators that we still needed to tweak the diuretic a bit - not much, but a bit. Bailey still felt anxious (clingy) and had droopy tail with those signs/symptoms. Obviously talk to your vet, but we kept Bailey a little drier than that and he did really well for a lot longer than we thought he would. The danger of drying him out too much is that he'll be weak or wobbly and it can be a little tough on his kidneys. It also may affect potassium levels more significantly. But we just watchfully observed, and slowly tweaked the diuretic, and Bailey's labs stayed good. Most importantly, he lost the anxious, clingy, hangdog attitude. It got to the point where I would say "do you need your medicine?" and my smart dog would wag his tail and go over to the counter - he seemed to know that the medicines were helping him. Or maybe he was just trying to please me. But he didn't always respond that way (sometimes he just ignored me or went & got a chewy or a toy), so I like to think he was a brilliant doggie and knew when he needed his medicines. I love the photos of your gorgeous boy.
Katla I was disappointed that there were no Clydesdale ads - they are my favorites! I didn't drink any Budweiser, either, LOL!!! I'm sorry you lost your post. I hate that when it happens to me.
Rebecca That must have been a good chef. There is a certain temperature at which pork collagen turns into melt-in-your mouth gelatin and it is delicious. That's probably what happened. Yum. A party in your mouth!
Sue Love Jigsaw Puzzles! and South Dakota, where my mother's family is from. xo
Kelly That is a seriously cool igloo. You rock. Oh…and yes, anything high in carbs gives me heartburn.
Terri What a cool African-themed room. I love it.
Ginny Ohio I would LOVE to go to lunch with you. But I'm in Virginia.
NYKAREN (((Hugs)))
Karen in Virginia, looking forward to a Lilliana day!!!3 -
