It's actually not mine but my BF.
His BMI is high, he's in the obese category. He's been self conscious about his growing belly.
So I started packing him lunch and been making him stick to a light dinner diet with me.
He has lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks!
I can see his belly not as bloated. He's happy, I'm happy.27 -
My waist was under 27 inches yesterday when I measured. Didn't think it'd ever get that narrow.30
-
Down one bra size. I was in an F cup, and REALLY didn't want that to be stable while I lost in the band measurement.17

Went to sports orthopedist today. Last time I saw him was seven or eight years ago and I was well over 220.
Stripped off my jacket so he could look at my shoulder, and he just all of a sudden blurted out, “Damn! You’re fit!”
I’m going to hug that one to me for a long time to come, since it was totally unsolicited, unexpected, and -apparently - very sincere.
I think that’s one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me.39 -
My colleague just called me the amazing shrinking science teacher24
-
A woman at the gym came up to me this morning and said, “Don’t take this the wrong way because you’ve always been a beautiful woman but you look amazing, I can tell you’ve lost weight.”26

NSV is pulled 200lbs yesterday on my deadlift.
Anti-NSV is felt a pop in my upper hamstring. Significantly less painful today, can walk fine, no bruising, so crossing my fingers some time and rest/walking will take care of it.16 -
I was somewhat disappointed to find that today's parkrun course was particularly soggy, muddy, slippery and generally difficult to wade through.
I was not surprised to discover that I did not beat last week's time
However, apparently my son and I achieved a new PB for that course
They say that every cloud has a silver lining . . .23 -
Zipped up an old winter coat today.23

I love this.
I had the same thing happen a month or so ago. I have an old coat I've had for (not really saying how many) years. but it was before the millennium changed. Way before. I tried to consign it a couple times, but since it was suede, nobody wanted to do it. I kept trying to figure out what to do with it because it's kind of a nice coat.
On a lark, I took it out and put it on. Oh my! I've worn it a few times, but only when it's cold and not raining.19 -

One of the wettest years I can remember - so soggy down here in the SWest - not able to mow our grass since beginning of October! I am impressed that you are able to attempt a soggy, slippery and muddy Park Run - well done! I have been avoiding the coast path because of deep mud and am walking on lanes and tracks only.3 -
Went through my closet today and 90% of my jackets and coats that didn't fit when I was obese, are now too big and baggy. Boxing them up for the Salvation Army.24

Finally had surgery! Due to extent of injury damage, it ended up being more challenging/more aggressive than doc had anticipated. Thus, recovery is a bit difficult. But, I'm doing my Physical Therapy exactly as instructed, so here's hoping for good progress & healing soon!
My NSV is that despite realizing I won't be able to weigh myself or take measurements for a couple of months, I still feel confident in the process. I'm consistent with measuring & recording food intake, and that will keep me on track 👍29 -
Today's NSV: Bought a size large t-shirt from the Ben and Jerry's factory gift shop back in November only to realize when I got home that it was either labeled wrong or every other large t-shirt I've ever owned was sized wrong. Anyway, it didn't fit---but today it fit me beautifully.17

Today I realised that since I’ve been moving in on the leather wristband on my watch perhaps my old watch with metal links would fit again. And it does!
I also decided to try on a necklace that used to feel like it was choking me. I definitely have room to breathe now but as it’s a super dainty design I probably won’t wear it (was a gift from my employer some years ago). I’m going to keep it to see if I like it better when I’m smaller...16 -
Every few weeks, I visit my parents for the weekend. While there, I use a dressing gown that dates from my late teens, it was oversized at the time. Over the years this robe had gotten tighter and tighter, clearly too small.
But the last few visits, it didn't feel too small anymore and I can still breathe while wearing it
Next step: making it feel oversized again21 -

This is a HUGE NSV! You totally got this! Best of luck through the healing phase! 💕6 -
This is both scale and nonscale but I'm going for it because it blew my mind.
I am the same weight today as the day I started my current job nineteen months ago, with a rollercoaster of fluctuations in between.
My overall bodyfat is down by 6%.
One of those everything changes and nothing changes moments. So motivating!25 -
I bought some pants and new underwear after a big weight loss. They are falling off now. I'm stoked.22

I realised on the bus today that I am no longer being embarrassed by the fact that no one will sit beside me except as a last resort (because I used to take up my seat and part of theirs). I used to be the last one to get the seat next to me filled and then once there was another free seat the person next to me would more often than not move to it. I understood completely but it was horrible that I couldn't fit in just my seat. Also if there was only an aisle seat for me then I would have half my bottom hanging over the edge so I didn't crowd the window sitter out too much. But then when people went to get off the bus they had to shove past my large body. Slowly things changed without me even noticing until today when I realised that there were empty seats all around me and someone came and sat down beside me. I'm fitting within my seat now and only my seat and the person didn't mind sitting beside me. It's been like that for a while but I didn't realise until today.
Another thing that happened to me was that I finally reached the halfway point and my ticker is bang on half way! I was so excited to see that!

I did a workout today!!!
I haven't been able to do any for a long time. Besides being fat I also have a chronic illness and I'm usually too sick to fit any workouts into my energy plan.
Tonight however I was feeling like it and had enough energy sooo I did a mini workout and it didn't drain me as much as I was afraid of which means I'll be able to do more of them in the future 🙌😍
I'm super happy!29 -

Looks like they even are a bit big for you! Is it a size 2 in US or UK sizes?4 -
My muscle definition is becoming visible in my legs again. Getting my runner's legs back. Plus, my shoulders are becoming more square again thanks to some presses and push ups.20
-
I can name a few!!
I realized simple everyday tasks are becoming easier such as carrying the groceries upstairs!
Pants that used to fit suddenly are to big, even though the scale has stayed the same (this slightly annoys me though haha)!
At work I can bend, squat and move with ease.
People at work are commenting on my appearance, saying I am looking smaller
I can lift heavier weights and do longer more intense workouts!
I started this journey last year and my weight loss has been very slow. I have lost about 35 lbs over the year. That is because I LOVE food lol and I love weight lifting. My body composition is changing but the scale is stalled. I am hoping once my hormone fluctuations settle down this month I will see that scale dip again.
I still have 30 lbs to go!28 -
@bstanford510 Awesome! So Impressed with that loss!!!
@NightHawk584 Amazing in one year! Good for you!5 -
I went to a very smart boutique today, where a lot of the dresses are one size because they don't make a huge number of them. I fit into everything I tried on, meaning it's pretty safe to assume I'm average sized right now.27

Today, looking in the mirror I started to see torso muscles I didn't even know I had. Additionally, the belt that had gotten very small is now way too large.
I am on the right path and very happy for it. A few more pounds and I going to buy some "mid point" pants as my current pairs are really not working anymore.13
