    My moms family was from Lithuania and the would make potato pancakes, latkakes all the time :)

    Potato latkes are great, and matzah latkes are pretty good too, but the sure ain't the same thing. Matzah latkes are basically matzah meal, egg, and water mixed to a batter and then dropped into oil to fry.
