I’m just under 5’1” and I started this round(last and final lol) of weight loss August 2019:
217lbs
Size 16/18 & XXL
Current weight:
169
Size 9/10 and medium to small top(depends on brand)
The full length photos are me at 217& 174.
And then the face photos are at 216& 170.
Id say I have what I consider a dense body type, so even though I’m still “obese” at this weight and height, my appearance isn’t too bad.
I would like to be closer to 130-140 as my end goal. Hopefully i can be reach that by summer.
Great job! How many calories did you take daily? And what about exercise?21 -

Thank you! It’s all still a work in progress but I’m much happier and healthier now.
I stay between 1250-1400 cal daily. I try my best not to exceed 1400 as for me it seems to be where I have little to no progress.
for exercise, I haven’t done any cardio this time around but I do some body weight resistance and strengthening.
I used to run when I was more fit but I injured my hip(not sure when and haven’t been able to find the reason why yet or resolve it) so I can’t safely or comfortably do that anymore. Same for most major leg movement style cardio. I’m hoping to figure out what’s going on so I can be more active again.

I am on MFP to drop an unfortunate 20 lbs I’ve gained over the past 3 years or so. (Well, it was 43 but I’m down 23 since getting back on MFP.) I stopped working out after motherhood and did a lot of take out, plus stress, life etc. I just didn’t make myself a priority. 🤦🏻♀️ BUT I have an old transformation to share to motivate myself and it’s helpful for me to know that I’ve done it before and can do it again. I dropped 90 lbs in 2004. I actually found that I didn’t like being that tiny (100 lbs) because I lost my curves, and I love my curves! So I put on some weight again and then just toned it up. I’m 5 ft tall. In this last after pic in the white/red dress I’m actually 130 lbs, but I had muscle and curves. THAT is my goal size/weight. 😊

I'm hoping to post progress pics in May!
MFP Starting Weight: 140 lbs - February 2011
Current Starting Weight: 147.4 lbs - November 2017
CW: 113.8
GW: 110
Height: 5 ft
Once I started to see some definition in my arms and stomach (two lines lol), I was hooked. I want more muscle so like @beautyonthebeach83 once I get down to 110 lbs the plan is to gain 5 lbs of muscle and keep evaluating from there.
(Many thanks to my husband for the great idea. )13 -

I had always thought of myself as a healthy eater and active too, until I started logging everything. I saw that my calorie intake was much higher than I realized. I adjusted my diet to eliminate unnecessary calories and lost over 50 pounds. From 188 at my highest to 133 (average). I'm 5" 1 .5" and 61 years old. (57 when I lost the weight.) I continue to log my meals and keep active with running, biking, swimming.13 -

Yeah the 2008 pic is gorgeous! But the total transformation is amazing!! You're half the size, but your face is like TOTALLY different.
How did you "tone up" what was your weekly regime?? Any hints or tips?

I'm 5'3. The first time I lost weight, I went from 175 lbs to 118 lbs back in 2009. I actually never counted calories but I was aware of what I put in my body. Here's the basic list I followed.
1. No restaurants/fast food
2. No white, processed breads must have 5 grams of fiber
3. No high fructose corn syrup
4. Never go hungry, eat something small like fat free milk with low calorie healthy cereal
5. I walked around 3-4 miles a day and practiced yoga.
6. Lots of beans (great source of protein)
7. Swapped ground beef for ground turkey
8. Cut out cheese, ranch, mayo and switched to spices, vinegar dressings or plain salads, and mustard.
9. Weighed myself morning and night to see my progress, what worked what didn't.
I lost weight over 11 months at 1 lb a week. I kept off the weight as i lost bad habits and gained these new ones slowly over time. I kept the weight off for 5 years until I stopped eating healthy in a new relationship and started eating fast food again.
You've got this! It's totally possible.8 -
Hi guys! Between 5’0-5’2 so how many cals do u consume per day? And do u had cheat days??2
-
@sachamurewa and @Jin_tan
5' and I try my best to hover around 1200 which usually ends up being between 1100 to 1300.
Yes, I definitely have those days where I eat up to 1800 cals. I don't call them cheat days though. I just roll with the day.
I tell myself that things will balance out later as long as I keep going the course the next day (or the day after).15
