I find myself curling my lip in disgust at things I used to pine for. I simply don't want them nor have any interest in them. Even took a bite of my favorite chocolate the other day, spit it back out, and nearly dry heaved.
Thank you, baby! Lmao
This made me slightly jealous @brittanystebbins95
Or you could have a fructose problem like I do. Eat more than a few bites of ice cream or one homemade cookie, and you'll get a massive hangover and feel rotten. I don't miss the caramel sauces and gooey cakes as much as I miss pears and strawberries and honey.

When my dad married my stepmom, I was 13 years old and already bigger than she was. I was a very chubby kid but also she's 5'3" and I am 5'8".
Anyway, this past week she bought some pants on clearance that were too big for her size 8 figure (size 10) and I said hey, I might want them. They fit well. Cracked me up and definitely counted as an NSV for me, especially since I wore plus sizes by the time I was 15.22 -
more than 2/3 of my closet is now available for new clothes when I can afford them.17

I've been completely vegan for two weeks. Very excited. And I am feeling less bloated and my mind is more clear. Who knew giving up dairy, gluten and corn could do so much.11

Found out I did not get a job I had applied for at work which would have involved a promotion. While I am disappointed (and a little angry, if I'm being honest), I didn't try to self-soothe using alcohol and food. Instead, I am channeling those emotions to fuel my workouts at the gym.49

That's the spirit!5 -
- my belt has become too big, I had some extra holes punched
- down another size in clothing, I've reached the magic size "42", so no longer wearing "plus size", I can now start shopping in regular brands and stores! Well, that's the theory anyway, not sure how C&A sizes compare to other brands
- I don't feel entirely disgusted anymore when I catch a glimpse of my figure in a window for example. Still a lot of room for improvement, but quite happy anyway.19 -
- I am officially in size 10 pants!! Which hasn't been a thing since.... jr.high???
-There space between my thighs & they don't rub together when I walk anymore.
-I feel much better about my legs/thighs in general. I used to mainly wear long shirts that hide my chunky upper thigh/hip area. Now, I'm getting shorter shirts and even half tucking my longer ones, making my legs look longer. I actually feel like I can pull off dressing trendy now! Not just with "what works"26 -
I was very concerned with losing my bust and glute size if I was closer to my ideal weight (doctor says 100lbs for my build and height 4'11" and on Asian American bmi chart so please don't judge). Today a new student was admiring my body with a big smile exclaimed, "She's thick!" I thought they were calling me fat but teens are saying "thick" means curvy in a good way. I looked in the mirror and saw a shadow between my pectoral muscles so I guess the increased reps of chest flys with 12 lbs weights are working. My glutes still look plump in my size 2 jeans so one legged deadlifts too are working. I took pics but can't figure out how to post and you can barely see the shadow... it keeps saying failed to upload...11

I can see my abs again! No idea how much I weight these days but I feel strong😊21

I rode the 4 miles to the station this morning and didn't feel as if I had done any exercise. My HRM told me I had only burnt 68 calories. Still made my train, similar time to when I used to arrive sweaty and out of breath when I started cycling 6 months ago.20

Just walked down the aisle of the plain and didn’t have to turn myself sideways to fit. Lots of length on the seatbelt when I tightened it too! 😃20

I realised that I needed new work clothes (which is a NSV in itself). I walked into a normal shop, picked out two dresses in a (UK) size 12 and took them to the changing room. They both fit with no issues at all (even the fairly tailored one). It's been years since I've had such a painless shopping trip without the realisation that things look far better on a hanger than on my body!22

I'm on light duty at work, which now means I sit in an office chair in a control/security monitoring room for 12 hours, rather than walking 75% of my day. I'm used to climbing 35+ flights of stairs a day on my shift, now I just sit.
I can't stand it. I feel so lazy. And I had to cut my calories to inactive job type rather than active. I don't like that lol. I like to eat.
So, while I'm keeping my calories where they are for the time being, I have a timer set on my fitbit for 20 minutes.
Every time it goes off, I get up, step out of view of the camera, and do 25 jumping jacks, 5 body weight squats, and run in place for a minute. Time permitting, of course. It won't always be exactly every 20 minutes because of phone calls, etc.
3 times per hour times 12 hours. I'm hoping it helps offset some of this activity change.20 -
Size 16’s!!

Excuse the funny angle and messy room, this is not a Valentine's outfit...
I had a brunch meeting with a a board member who loves to clean out her closet, and she gave me bag of clothing, including a dress in size 10 (and these stunning heels).
I'm an L top, 14 pants, and here it is!! 5 dress sizes and 2 shoe sizes down.
And to think, I could zip it up after some Valentine's Day Nutella crepes. 😂22 -
Wowzers @ploomka that is impressive!
We had the same chinese set menu we used to order and haven't had since last v-day. I could barely eat half! Left overs for lunch tomorrow!13 -
@glennagael you look lovely in that!
Thanks, @TheMrWobbly!! Great job on portion control. It’s great when your stomach shrinks and your hunger cues start to align!! I miss Chinese foodI can’t eat it because of a garlic allergy (and it’s too hard to determine whether a recipe has garlic or not).
This threadStill my fave thread on MFP. Always so inspiring.
One more NSV for me today: my husband told me my cooking just keeps getting better and better. I think I’m spoiling him and setting a precedent, but I like the stuff I make too, so I’ll keep experimenting in the kitchen. This morning I whipped up some keto buckeyes for him for Valentine’s Day. He was in heaven

I had joined in 2013 and been in and out of MFP never really sticking to logging in everyday...and therefore restarted over and over again...until this year. I have seen those people who joined at the same time as I did make their success stories and I found the one thing in common with all their success stories was that they logged in consistently in this community, whether they logged their food or not, they were committed to logging in each and every day and they have achieved their goals. I keep kicking myself because I could have been one of these success stories...but my newest NSV is I finall stuck to it and I am now 51 days and 7kilos lighter27
