You are all welcome to join me in the happy dance, now I've hit submit, because I will not have to speak of this grant again. Until we win.

Lisa thank you for acknowledging about mourning twice. It is painful for your loved one and painful for the person having to watch that person suffer.
I have gone through this with loved ones too. I think one of the hardest things for me is how to talk to others who are not going through this. Those who have understand. Again that is why I say to those going through something like this I hope you are taking time to do something special for yourself. To mourn a person who is still physically alive but mentally not there is
This is one of the biggest reasons I try to fill my life with doing the things I feel create beauty like painting and singing. I still sub because I enjoy trying to help students the best I can.
If I can help to make someone else's life a bit easier like others have helped me that makes my day.
M asked the question what would make a good day for you. For me it living the above. I am grateful I still am well enough to be able to live my life this way.4 -

Heather: Your Queen is 93 according to Siri, and she seems to be healthy, strong and smart. Queen Mother lived to 101. As you are giving yourself healthy care via good food, exercise and fun in life, who knows how long you may live? Enjoy!
Lisa: Doin’ the happy dance with you! Congratulations on hitting the submit button.
Debbie in VA: Snow! Enjoy it. What part of VA?
I woke up this morning and looked at my new haircut in the bathroom mirror. I think I’m going to like letting it be a little longer than it has been recently.

Went out for my 5k. Proud of myself as I definitely did not feel like it. Tired after yesterday.
It was hard work coming back into the wind, but I got it done.
The council had made a good job of sweeping up all the pebbles. It was mostly clear. There were about five civil engineering vans and three or four diggers shovelling the pebbles back onto the beach. With each digger there was a man driving and a man watching. It must be costing a fortune!!
On the way home I picked up spinach and asparagus to go with tonight's salmon. DH will have a few oven fries as well.
This afternoon I'm going to tackle getting the 4 cake out of its tin and slicing it horizontally. I have wrapped it in clingfilm, but I want to get it into the freezer.
Good luck Allie! Blow a kiss to Cusco for me!

Best morning ever! Invested 48 mins in vacuuming and light cleaning, briefly touched every room. No longer feel guilty about the carry overs, ready to start fresh tomorrow investing 10 mins cleaning Master + Guest Bds. Mid vacuum, Joe invited me to go with him and the dogs to the park. “But it will take me at least 10-15 minutes to get dressed!” Don’t worry, we’ll wait. And he did, with none of the normal impatience, pushing, rushing. He took me on a path I’d not seen before. Then we splurged on Burger King tacos and whoppers (1 taco and half a whopper for me) and took them back to the park for a picnic on the beach. Glorious sunshine, mild breeze, stunning ocean, say it like SpongeBob “Best morning EVER!”. Most fun we’ve had in I don’t know how long. Worth every junk food calorie.
Only to top of pg 57 but time to jump up and prep for BB&B.
Lighter, lovelies!

You got more snow than we did in Richmond.
This morning I went out barefoot to hang the bird feeders because I am from Nebraska and must prove my nonchalance about a dusting of snow:

My mom past away on 2/19 she was 89, she had Dimentia and conjestive heart failure.
I haven’t logged my calories since then. I’m trying to get back to it today with a heavy heart.

Jackie - I wouldn’t be worried about logging during that time either. Welcome back sorry for your loss. Maybe start out with stuff easy on the stomach y light exercise. I wouldn’t jump in hard y fast after that.

Going to make maybe some egg meals in prep containers too for the fridge. Not sure yet.Trying to get it back on track after the mess up.Im soup out wasn’t meant to be days for just one person more lunch for 2. Katla-I’m in Gloucester,Va.We measured last night at 3+ inches.Gs is happy out playing with the other children in the neighborhood.
Karen-I made sure to fill the feeders yesterday and the squirrels found the stash of corn on my front porch and were raiding that this morning.lol 🐿

Just stopping by! Y'all are some busy people! Couldn't get totally caught up!
Michele now in FL – I was so intrigued by your mention of a grapefruit pie that I had to find a recipe to see what it was. Now I’m planning to make one to take to my mom. I think she will love it.
Lisa – Loved your spoiler reframes! Reframes are often needed.
Everyone “Maybe” In The Job Market: I was unexpectedly laid off my government job in 2015 (after 10 Years). I ended up in a contractor role doing something I hadn’t done before for three years with a big pay cut. Then I found a job that I thought was great and fitting for me with a huge pay increase; I lasted 90 days and hated the supervisor and team. I was home for almost a year before I found a contractor role again doing something I’d never done before – pay didn’t matter because I had no salary. The last position turned into a permanent job and now I am a much sought after expert in grant management another thing I had never done before. Yesterday I received my second raise in six months. So I say all of that to say it’s great to have the foresight – start looking now. You may stumble onto something you love. I loved Linked In.
Pip – Love your new truck! Be careful with that gas pedal! I bought myself a 2013 Camaro Convertible a couple of months ago in celebration of being employed again. I love it too although it is not practical!
Tracey in Edmonton – DH and I have been watching our Carbs and have had to change our eating habits and grocery shopping as well. It has been difficult figuring out what to eat! But I have learned a couple of things that have resulted in wonderful meals for us. We are lucky that most of our local grocers have on-line ordering. Being able to point and click with the recipe in hand helps with the menu planning. We drive to the store at the appointed time and they load it into the car. The only bad thing is that we don’t get as many steps in as we used to.
Heather: Love your Fantasy Room! I need one just like it!

Did an extremecardio DVD today and then used the rowing machine for 15 minutes. The plan for tomorrow is to do a yoga DVD.
After exercise wiped down the kitchen floor. Vince is feeling nauseous. Watch he talks about how the pork chops last night made him sick.
Go JR!!!
Barbie – how do you cut the bread? I remember having this guide-thing to cut the loaves but the pieces were so thick. Honestly, I would have liked them to be ½ as thick
Lisa – “and a one and a two”
Jackie – your mom looks to be such a wonderful lady. You were so lucky to have her for so long
Is it ever windy here today! Tonight I’m going to go to a lady across the hall from me and we’re going to play either Mexican Train dominoes or Rummikub. I’ll take both with me. I like cards, not all the time. So I don’t mind playing just when I get down here. But I’d like to play something else, too. We invited another lady (she remembers my MIL) because she was saying how they used to do so much more here.

Tere ~ Congrats on finding your new job that you love! It must have been tough getting laid off, hating the replacement job, and finally finding your new one. You have fortitude.
Karen & Debby ~ Great snow pics. Karen, did your toes survive?
Barbara ~ Your morning with Joe and the pups sounds wonderful and your description of the scenery makes me want to be there.

I managed to extricate my cake from its 4 tin and peeled off the greaseproof paper. Well, it is supposed to be a chocolate fudge cake, but it is more like fudge than cake! Tastes fabulous, but very rich and moist.
I then had to slice it in half. I felt like a surgeon! Managed it with difficulty and inserted greaseproof paper between the two halves. It is not pretty, but, by the time I've got butter icing all over it, no one will know!
It's now in the freezer and I will do the filling while it is still frozen as it's so fragile.

Nuby.com finally is back up! So bought some more stuff. Glad it’s fixed we use it a lot. Found out they fixed my rewards while they were at it so $5 off! Yes!!! They got $1.35 2 pack of regular kids cups all the way to the best 360* cups (easier for premature kids like JR with weak suction) y can by parts so can fix cups you got. We use our company name but never asked for a tax code so even someone who just wants to buy can create a name like Grandmas cottage or your daycare name (they said lots of private home daycares use them which doesn’t have tax code)

My latest video I’m watching for shopping tips on food on a budget (This is done based on the U.K. but can still put it to use in any country). Plus I like videos where theirs no cussing /little slips okay only or annoying music like some rock metal bands.

He’s attempting 3 meals for a full day on a very very tight budget! Nothing from the cupboard allowed has to be with the amount he decided on only so 1 coin (coins are used for dollar amounts in many countries). He can’t go over that amount.2 -
Yes ... it's certainly not what I expected to be dealing with in my early 50s! We were so fit and healthy!! We both have good and bad days dealing with it all. And just to add for the fun his return to work person has appeared on the scene again. Yay!
Groan.
I am so sorry.

Hugs ladies!
So today, being it shopping day, I had my yogurt with vitamins and coffee. Though I did have an interesting time with my fasting, I do not like the ups and downs of it. I didn't eat in the morning, and working out in the mornings I felt so zapped after. Today I bought my 5 chobani Greek yogurts, and my breakfast flat biscuits which I delightfully use as spoons. I bought coconut flavored ones so that will be fun.
Lunch prep at noon won't be as much volume food wise, being that before, I was coming off a 21 hour fast. My go to meal is one slice of Rustic Oven hearty grains bread with avocado, diced tomatoes with onions, cucumbers, some well placed leaves from my Super Spinach pack, slices of turkey, a slice of pepper jack cheese, and a smear of Hidden Valleys ranch cucumber dressing. Can you say heaven? I am loving the Super Spinach container with leaves of bok choy, kale, spinach and other leaves I can't identify😜. There is a science in assemblage, using the avocado and dressing as "glue" for adherence!
Dinners shall be a small plate in whatever I am fixing for son and husband. Lunches are my time to play with food I love💖. Dinners will be learning how to acclimate to my family more. I no longer have my eating window between 12 noon to 3 pm. The downside of that window was that I was so sleepy after! My body would physically shut down for about 20 minutes, then I was fine.
Looking back at this experience, it amazed me at how little my body needs. I did feel the clarity that fasting promotes. A day or two every week might be my goal. It is a good way to restart my appetite, learning to listen and eat when I'm hungry, not that its a specific time of day. I felt empowered, that I could control my body like that. I didn't like the constipation part some weeks. I will keep my water intake up, but not my 1/2 of my body weight. I lost count how many times I got up at night! Even though afternoons I slowed down my intake.
If I lived by myself, I would have no problem fasting and it would be just my food in the kitchen. Cooking for others daily, and a kitchen stocked with others food is distracting, but that's reality. I would attend the gym at another time not right in the morning. But husband drives and its kind of his rules. I am thankful he goes every day, and its an "our time" activity. I could probably whine and tell him we need to go in the afternoon, but that's not me. In a way, taking the "its by choice" off the table, I just go. I mean I don't convince myself to let's say, brush my teeth, and I don't convince myself to attend the gym. Its just something we do.💖
Hope every one has a great weekend!💖
