My employer this morning sent an email asking everyone who can work from home to work from home. That includes me, so I'll be heading home this afternoon until . . . ?

I'm home indefinitely too. They are telling us MAYBE May 1st we'll be back. I work with specialized equipment, so there is not much I can do from home. But my boss is telling me I should spend my time doing online tutorials and learning new software, so I guess I'll do that.

Fortunately, I'm pretty flexible. I'll just miss my nifty second monitor. :s

We got to bring home 2 monitors each. So with the laptop, I still have 3. Not as good as my set up AT work, but a lot better then trying to do it all laptop only. THAT would have been impossible.

So I am officially work from home until who knows when. The Governor declared that as many state employees as possible need to remote work for the time being. Some can't. They literally can not do their jobs from home but we can't have them NOT doing their jobs. So they will most likely have to go in still, but having everyone who can be gone actually helps those people as well.

Indiana is also closing all restaurants, bars, and nightclubs to dine in. Only pick up and delivery will be allowed. We had our first death today as well. Male in his 60's with medical problems that made the virus worse for him.

My parents are in their mid 70s and I typically go over twice a week to have dinner with them. Should I stop going? I can't tell if I'm being cavalier to go over or being overly anxious to not visit them the whole time this is going on. I know they'll say to come over, that's just how they are!

Are they healthy? If so then the risk to them even if they do catch it is hopefully minimal. Obviously if they have underlying health conditions it is a no-brainer to keep a wide berth.
