@twistedsassette – You’ll get used to it – My one son had a bruise on his forehead most of the time till he was about 3. He grew up to be a great worker – always doing stuff.
@tiabirdie56 I watched an interesting video by a couple of environmental biology professors that I've somewhat followed for other reasons. They explained that viruses have a surface that is a layer of fat and once this fat is broken down they disintegrate - that is why they are susceptible to heat, detergents and friction but can live for months in your freezer. (I don't think that drinking hot things will help a great deal though since your body quickly brings things to its own internal temperature which the virus is quite happy with.) They have done a number of videos on the current situation but I think the one I watched is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym-WGOq96G0

@kecward78 - Brrrrh !! I really do not like being cold !!
LOL Even before I began putting on lots of weight, I always loved the winter... especially the snow. As long as we got less than 8 inches, I would take my dogs for long hikes (usually 8+ miles) around a very large pond near my home. After a snowfall, it's usually very quiet and peaceful. And with no people around, I never had to worry about them being off-leash. Part of my long-term goals are to lose the weight so I can do those hikes again.5 -

👍🏼👍🏼 This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE. 👍🏼👍🏼10 -
I’m absolutely in! This will be my first round so bear with me. Also, feel free to add me, can never have too many motivational connections 💪🏼.
Today was a really hard day emotionally, and I am a stress/emotional eater. This week will be even harder yet and we have a fridge full of leftovers to eat. Goal for this cycle is going to be portion control and finding moments of peace in the stress. Trying to pep talk myself to do some self-pampering, a workout, a meditation, and tackle the day.
The quote that always helps and might help others: “No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.”

Heaviest/Starting/Current Weight: 157.8lbs
Goal Weight: 125lbs
3/28: 157.8lbs
3/29: 155.6lbs (-2.2lb!) Talked myself into doing another workout dvd this morning deapite how sick and terrible I felt after doing yesterdays. I’m so glad I did! Muscles feel so sore, but the good kind of accomplished sore. I am an ICU nurse and am on-call for our coronavirus unit overnight tonight, tomorrow night, and tue night so my schedule is a little flip-flopped.
3/30: 157.8lbs (+2.2lb) Goes to show how short lived successes can be sometimes I suppose haha. I know weight fluctuates a lot in a week which is why I’ve never really been a fan of weighing myself daily. I end up obsessing over the smallest differences.
3/31: I did not weigh myself or do a workout today. I did, however, get called in to work on our coronavirus unit in the ICU last night and according to my fit bit I had walked almost 3mi just between midnight and 7am! Not a true workout but between that and moving patients I suppose I’ll give myself some credit. So far I am below my calorie goal for the day (its 9pm), just have to not sit here and snack while waiting for work to call tonight.
4/1: Well guys. Today was bad. I did not get called in to work last night which was nice, however I did get an e-mail from my school that they’re cancelling my capstone courses for the summer semester which were the only two classes I had left to finish my master’s degree. So I will not be able to finish my degree until this whole Covid thing blows over and I can re-register 😔. Got that e-mail around 3am and since I wasnt going in to work I decided to have some wine and watch netflix to relax before sleeping for the day. Ended up having waaaaay too much wine and got sick to my stomach...that’ll teach me. So I just now had some dinner, still don’t feel great. My own fault, I didn’t expect my tolerance to be so low, but I really haven’t drank much recently so it makes sense. Tomorrow’s a new day.

Day/Weight/Comment
03/28: 177.4 (I had a really good burrito from a local Mexican place and that is the reason for the gain along with no workout since it’s my rest day. All worth it within plan!)
03/29: 180.8 (wow, what an increase! TOM is arriving today so I know that’s why I have such a high increase. And we ordered Chinese from a nearby restaurant and I ate half of my meal. The food is notoriously salty, so I know that may be the reason. It’s okay! Back to my regular workout schedule today!)
03/30: 181.4 (A small increase! I did a workout for an hour on YouTube again and made some chicken fajitas. Hoping TOM comes and the weight starts to fall down before Friday!)
03/31: 180.4 (TOM decided to make an appearance yesterday afternoon as expected! It explains all the gaining and I was able to get a good workout in. Working from home is going well! Hopefully I feel this positive still in a month.)
04/01: DNW (I ate breakfast and completely forgot to weigh myself! I’ll make sure to weigh in before I start my work computer on. I did well with my eating and I hope that tomorrow I’ll see the 170’s.)

Day/Weight/Comment
03/28 133.6 – 9 miles walked yesterday in my allowed daily exercise yesterday. 540 calories in credit, all macros in green. Managed to get all my supplies at the supermarket yesterday, only had to queue for 15 minutes to gain access, no hardship at all in the great scheme of things. Keep washing our hands !!
03/29 134.4 – 8 miles walked yesterday – 39 calories & 75 carbs over respectively. Had a lovely video conference call with DD, DS and little DGC, I miss them so much, but know needs must to keep us all safe.
03/30 133.2 – 7.41 miles walked yesterday, 397 calories in credit, all other macros in green, more protein and less carbs, I'm going to try to stick with that trend. Call out to our heroes, the NHS and those both in the food chain and benefit system, 4 of my siblings are involved in each of those areas, each are experiencing “difficulties” in their jobs at the moment not helped by the public at large who are giving them lots of verbal abuse which they don't need, they are experiencing so much stress already without that. Please be kind particularly to our key workers at this very difficult time.
03/31 133.2 – 9.87 miles walked yesterday, 666 calories in credit & all macros in green. Stay safe everyone.
04/01 134 – my fault – succumbed to chocolate last night although I did stay within calories. 10.3 miles walked yesterday, 240 calories in credit, 14 carbs over.
04/02 133 – 11.49 miles walked yesterday, a good day; 655 calories in credit, all macros in green.

Goals
Goal for this round, stay healthy, eat healthy, 10.000 steps, and on the emotional side write my diary every day.
03/28 – 154.6
03/29 – 155.6 (+1.0) Yesterday was a depressing day so I think I’m going to put it behind me and aim for a better day today. I’m aiming for 10.000 steps and 30 mins cardio on the stationary bike, maybe a run around the block with my daughter this afternoon which is the most we’re allowed to do here.
03/30 153.6 (-2.0) 1360 cal, 10623 steps. I’m quite happy with that loss especially as I did cave in for some chocolate that I have around the house but otherwise a pretty good day. I didn’t get a high cardio workout but I did a 3-mile walk (from you tube) and later that day I did a “parkour” run in my apartment, I’ll be doing it again later and try to get my daughter involved! I’m avoiding any high impact workout as I have had to stop all immunotherapy treatments for my RA as I was sick, so my joints are a bit achy. I’ve done a daily schedule of things to do but I’m finding it a bit hard to follow lol
03/31 154.4 (+0.8) 9861 steps, didn't track calories. It was the "did not track calories" that messed things up yesterday! I started by keeping track in my head thinking I'd put into MFP later and then got a craving for chocolate and it went downhill... but the chocolate was good lol However I did a 3 mile walk workout in my living room and a weight routine as well. Today I'm aiming to log ALL my food!
04/01 155.0 (+0.6) nearly didn't weigh this morning, yesterday ended up being a bored emotional binge day, not very proud. I did get a lot of other things done (online studying, sewing, kids homework) but food ended up being where I got the most comfort. Around 9pm I had enough of my pity party and went running 3 times around the block with my daughter. Today is a little better, but I'll admit that the situation is starting to get me down. I need to stop watching the news...
04/02 156 (+1.0) oups I think that's still a reaction to Tuesday's binge as I was quite reasonable yesterday. I didn't get many steps in but we went running around the block last night, yesterday we did it 3 times, tonight we're aiming for 4 laps.

4/2: 157.4lbs (-0.4lb) Weight was after eating at 3am so not sure how accurate. Today is a new day and a new chance to start over! Life has been throwing one obstacle after the next at me, but there’s nothing I can do about that. I can only control my own actions and responses. Finally have my appetite back after yesterday but now am sooo hungry. Going to see if the bf wants to go for a walk with me this morning before work. A little fresh air could do some good.

04/02 - 147.9 - That's an unexpected surprise. Especially given I didn't have my usual lunch salad yesterday. Woke up with belly growling, though, despite my dinner being very filling and eaten later than I normally prefer (must get used to that -- won't have a choice but a late dinner once I start commuting). I didn't have my fitbit on so I don't know what I did right. Definitely wearing it today given its supposed to rain every day through next week starting today. Will need to force activity of some sort.

03/31 - Bit of a long update since I've been absent: Not pretty numbers. Between the quarantine (shelter in place in both work and home cities), unpacking/getting settled in, and working from home (hello, kitchen and BF who can cook amazingly), this is what I get. Started a garden as a reason to get outside at least once a day (though sometimes I take a break just to go stand on the porch). Rain/storms Thursday-next week which puts a damper on the walking trails idea we had for this weekend. BF works from home (all the time, not just quarantine) so he always is looking for ways to get out of the house and now I understand why. I miss the freedom to just go get fresh air and sunshine without concern of the virus. Bought salads for "work lunch" to try to get some veggies in. Steaks last night with homemade mashed potatoes and garlic asparagus (I was in charge of sides). Hopefully soon my order of imperfect produce will come in and I can start incorporating more fruits and veggies in. Will have to since I'm paying for them and BF requested I did it, despite him not being the biggest veggie person. He told me to get it, so he gets to deal with it haha He wants to lose weight as well now that he's on the computer at home all day. Once things calm down, he's going to fix up our friend's extra bike and go riding with him. I'll go on walks and do some at home stuff when I'm able to. My schedule will be tough. It's a 1.5hr drive with no traffic. With traffic its around 2hrs. I shouldn't hit traffic going to work, but will leaving work to come home. So 13-14.5hrs gone. Will have just enough time to eat dinner, shower, and pass out with 6hrs sleep. 7hrs if food is already done when I get home. Fridays and weekends I will be free to do whatever I want/need to, though, so I'll be working on making up for my workweek. Also going to try to do lunch walks at work just to get out of the office and get movement in if I have a quiet computer-based or meeting-based day. Any advice y'all have, I'll gladly take. Especially since I haven't been doing my IF (skipping breakfast) lately since BF cooks for us and I've had a rumbling belly by 8am. Once I'm working at the plant, I'll get back to that but until then, I need to figure something out. No idea how long I'll be at home, but the orders for San Antonio are valid until the 9th unless its extended. Now time to catch up on everybody's posts!
04/01 - Think my scale is playing an April's Fools joke 'cause I swore I'd be over 150 today. Had rice with gravy last night as part of dinner and probably had too much. Apparently my salad at lunch evened me out. Salad for today and tomorrow as well and I believe salad with dinner (pot luck style with our family here in TX - BF and I in charge of mac&cheese which will be my downfall). Going to try to do mini workouts throughout the day (squats, lunges, hip thrusts, etc) when I need a break from the computer. Hopefully this number will continue to drop, especially now that I'm back with y'all and posting. If nothing else, its like having a voice in my head telling me I'll be accountable to everyone here and it works!

I need some accountability. These last 10 lbs are brutal.

Round 109- SW 154
3/28- 154
3/29- 155.2
3/30- 156.6
3/31- 154.8 I think I'm one of those people that will have to track forever. So be it. I got back on track yesterday and when I hit calorie limit I could tell how much more I had eaten the prior days. It's hard, but I can do it. I have to get comfortable with feeling a little hungry. I'm sure if I drink more that will help.
4/1- 154.4 I've been so tired for my runs the last 2 days and I'm not even running that far. I'll ride today instead.
4/2- 154.6 Surprised it's not more. I was starved yesterday afternoon and ate over my calories for sure. sigh. My friends uncle died and I've been a bit stressed, but I need to find other comfort measures other than food.12 -
