I haven't worn a real bra, real pants, or any makeup in a week and a half. Going back to the office is gonna suck. :laugh:3

Even on days I’ve reported to the office - my hair has been in a ponytail, no makeup and a race tee. Been wearing jeans. Not sure if I want to push it and wear shorts.
Today from home I did put on pants ans shoes, tee and sports bra. Still no makeup🤣
We have a zoom meeting at noon - not putting on makeup for this either3 -

I had a team Zoom meeting yesterday, and they got bare face, lank hair and sweats. LOL3 -
I only work 16 hours a week and can do most of my role from home just fine, but fitting that in without childcare is extremely challenging. They're 2 and 4 and can't really entertain themselves unsupervised for any time at all. I hate that I'm having to work every day and work evenings to make up my part time job, losing what little free time I had. Obviously I'm glad I still have a job but I could scream at anyone who complains of being bored. I DREAM of having time to be bored!1

And my dad started chemo this week. What impeccable timing!
I know my kids and hubby and I are pretty low risk, but I worry something will happen to my dad and I won't be able to go and comfort my mum.
Got pretty serious right there. Please go back to drowning peanut butter in the rubbish bin and cling film wraps! As you were.5 -

Yikes! That's scary. Prayers for your dad.0 -

I'll confess that with all this social distancing, I have let my eating go out the window. Kinda like stress eating, I guess.5

I do okay for 2-3 days, then freak out for 1-2. Rinse and repeat.
I am doing well with my activity, hitting at least 10k steps per day and usually a yoga and/or a banded strength training workout every day.
I put my headphones in and a podcast on and walk laps thought the dining room, living room, kitchen. Thanks, @Susieq_1994, for that idea way back in the day!5 -
I stink at moving working from home. I didn't realize how much I actually walk in my office. I am going to have to do something to get a handle on it, but I really need to keep my 8th grader on track with online school more.3
-
I wish I could work from home so I could help my 4th grader. I am in the clinic everyday and almost on my same schedule as before all this happened. I can't do ultrasounds from my house.5

The sophomore is on his own with on-line school! I never even took chemistry. Can't help much.3

It's not about helping. It's about making him do the work.3 -

I wish you could work ftom home too. I pray for you and all my clinical friends.
I know that I am fortunate that I can bill and code from home. I just wish I were better at taking care of myself while I do it.1 -
My dad is doing ok. He is well set up for working from home and my three brothers all live within an hour's drive so are taking turns grocery shopping for my parents every couple of weeks.6

Got furloughed today, which is not bad short term as the government is paying 80% of my salary and my company is voluntarily topping up the rest. I've been very stressed trying to work from home while looking after two preschoolers. But of course I'm quite worried for my job longer term. Nothing I can do about it right now, so I'm just going to chill for a few weeks, and do lots of crafts with kids.5

I hope it works out! Enjoy your kiddo time!

Things are changing at my job. Found out today that my part at the clinic will be closed until 5/16. That's five weeks..... I get to use what PTO I have and some of my illness bank. Anything over that and they are paying us at 60% of what we make. Our benefits won't lapse and we can sign up for a work pool to help the hospital campuses with screening patients and employees.6

They did this at Ballad too, but they furloughed our people and signed them up for unemployment benefits under the CARES Act instead of making them use up their vacation. So far, I am not furloughed since I am in the department that actually collects from insurance companies. We will see how long that lasts. They won't need all of us forever. once we get the old claims worked and paid, some of us will be furloughed as well, but it's hard to say how long.
We had fewer than 150 cases in our service area as of Friday, which is fantastic for slow spread, but I don't know what will happen when things open back up.
I hate uncertainty...0 -
One of my neighbours who has been going out every day in his car (no he isn't a keyworker) was escorted home by the police this week. And he was back out again yesterday.
Good thing he isn't on this thread, as I'd be breaking the no judgement rule very, very much. If we get stuck in lockdown for the whole summer, I'm blaming him!1 -
Almost done with my first week at home for my clinic closing. I have survived so far, but my weight is up for sure. I am trying to find things to occupy my time so I don't sit and watch TV and eat. Things here are strange. The stores are open and most folks are masked up, but they still are going out. I have been making a list and will need to go before long, but I have been trying to limit my trips in to town. I think since we are in an area where we don't see the severity of it, it seems like nothing has changed. For those in the thick of it, they can tell you it's no joke.1

April has been the longest year of my life!!!!2

How's the distancing working for everyone? Who else is not working currently due to the quarantine?
My outpatient clinic was closed going on two weeks ago now. It's weird being at home all week. I can't say that I have not enjoyed sleeping in. I don't sleep late, I'm naturally an early riser. I can say I was stress eating for a long time and now it's time to put the brakes on. Made myself a schedule to follow so I have some structure in my day. I have been enjoying keeping up with my garden this year. Starting to see some progress and growth. Hope you all are doing well!1 -
I'm working from home. I work from approximately 6:00 to 2:00. Then I do my home workout, and then go outside to walk or jog. I take "breaks" during work hours, where I walk laps through my living room, dining room and kitchen. I'm shooting for 10k steps per day and usually I hit it.
I'm trying not to get into the snacks, but it doesn't always work. I'll be glad if I just maintain my weight through this. I started at 205 on March 30, and was 204 this morning so I am maintaining so far.1 -
I tried Vanilla Bean Halo Top for the first time last night, and it's pretty good! Creamy and vanilla-y. I'm gonna get some diet root beer and have root beer floats!1

I may be the only person accidentally losing weight during lockdown. I haven't left home in over three weeks, all my groceries are delivered and as my husband is also home there's no sneaky chocolate! We still eat desserts etc but my mealtimes were never too unhealthy anyway. I should be happy, but I'm so grumpy!!!2

My scale broke this morning, on official weigh-in day. I'm not sure what that says about how my quarantine is going! :laugh:3
