When we were out cycling yesterday, there were a few chalk messages, especially one huge flower with the message "Keep Smiling".

One paper is about Qualitative Research: strategies, data collection techniques and analysis techniques with experiences of smart phone users with different types of text input assistance in mind.
One paper focuses on impacts of smartphones from the perspectives of technological determinism, uses determination and social determination.

Today we would have been in Trondheim, just strolling around the town. Not on a tour. The weather is rain, wind and 3°C.
I think I might have stayed on the ship and gone to the craft class and had a swim.
Hope to go for a 5k run this afternoon. Weather absolutely fabulous again.
Will probably keep down the west end where there are fewer people and a wide promenade.
Machka - Brighton and Hove is the second slimmest place in the UK. After Kensington and Chelsea. Even in normal times I think every single person is running and cycling, or at least walking. Yoga on the lawns. Of course, it is a privileged place economically. That might change as the economy will take a huge hit with its restaurants, bars, hotels, theatres, all closed.
My friend has booked us another Zoom session for next Wednesday.
Must do some writing.

I've tried to catch up...not sure if I made it through all of the posts. Big storms here a couple of days ago knocked out our internet and I just can't read on the phone (even the large print is tiny!). Hope everyone is holding up okay!!! Pleasantly surprised to wake up to the stimulus check in the account. Thank you, government, that's one helpful thing...although with all the poo that's gone on...well, I am indeed very thankful. It's been hard to not spend extra $$ during this time, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Loving grandchildren, fur baby, flowers, beautiful scenery, pretty red hair!, - everyone's photos! Certainly brighten up my day!!
I am sitting with a head full of hair color. Coloring it at 4 am probably not the wisest thing to do, but it is so bad, anything should look better than it did. I don't care that much right now. I don't think DS and DDIL and GD will care and no one else on the planet is seeing us...lol.
Welcome Newbies! Hope everyone is holding up okay! This is a hard time (in my opinion) to hang on to our good habits, but I am proud of anything I do that is remotely good for myself since I am stuck inside a lot and feel hungry every minute of the day!
Thankful for my 13.8 pound exercise weight (DGD - lol) who is keeping me more active than I would be alone. She is still a treasure and I know how incredibly blessed we are to see her every day.
DH is still not anywhere near 100% and it is pretty scary at times. He has been falling so much and doesn't seem to think he needs to ask anyone about it. I just can't figure out what is going on, and it is creepy because he still has to do the blood thinner shots and who knows what kind of internal damage might be going on with these falls...
While the rest of the world is getting their homes immaculate, I have no energy to get anywhere on our disaster. I keep wanting to make a dent on the weekends, but I am in a routine of recovery from baby care on the weekends. Also, having trouble making good meals this week.
Didn't take notes while reading, but I know I need to be praying for everyone and hoping we all come out of this appreciating what we have and surviving what people don't have. I feel very blessed. We are fine. Life looked way up since the TP find...lol!!
Hope everyone was safe in those storms. We could barely get to DS's house after that night. Trees and power lines down everywhere. The tornado alarms went off, but we did not hear them. We were awake, but I guess with the howling wind we didn't notice. So grateful we only had branches down on our property. We had to take side trips to find a way through as so many roads were blocked. I didn't even think to take pictures to show all the damage!

Reward: inventory seeds, plan garden, order replenishments.video chat with Tracie, got to give her the gift of listening to her hurt, anger, frustration and grief. Really wish I could have hugged her physically.
OK all you ZoomMeetingGals I’m stuck. Trying to facilitate Zoom line dance classes. We can all see each other from laptops/ tablets/ipads/smart phones/iphonesn and hear each other ok. We cannot hear the music and the teacher well at the same time. She connects to Zoom with her laptop and plays the music from her ipad. When she speaks (or any of us unmute or there is any background noise) the music breaks up or garbles. Tried today with another friend who has an ipad, she was able to play music on her ipad but then I could no longer see her, as if it was either/or, web cam and mic or music video, no way to present/share two “windows” at once. I’m challenged by being totally unfamiliar with Apple products. Any suggestions welcome.

Annie great kettle advice. For now I’ll stick with my unpowered tea kettle on the propane stove (or woodburner when the power’s out.)

Heather I love not only Edie’s efforts, but your DS’s great attitude and expressive face! Next time you zoom, look around the frame of the window for the words “gallery view” if you find them, click them and it will switch your screen to show windows of everyone connected, and where it used to say “gallery view” it will now say “speaker view”. It’s a toggle. Love your kettle, backsplash tile and countertop too!
Barbie suggest if you do decide to change your dogs’ food please introduce gradually to minimize gastric upset If the canned food is not Kirkland but a national brand, might consider Chewy dot com. Have found good variety and prices there. Yow on the Amazon $$$, have been noticing how spendy they’re getting. Verging on gouging. OK if the choice is puppy tummy aches with one trip to local grocery, or happy puppy tummies with a trip to Costco…

Karen in VA that disheartening video makes me wonder, where do the micro-droplets go when the windows are opened? Seems like it would spread the virus farther, though at less concentration. And do made at home cloth masks minimize the broadcast of micro-droplets at all? Disheartening indeed.
Margaret thank you for sharing what you’ve learned. I now wear my mask whenever I get out of the car “in town.” The plastic film covering our standup mini-greenhouse is totally cracked, broken, trashed. I tend to save plastic zippered bags that sheet sets come in. Perhaps I can modify to patch.
Katla thanks for the pharmaceutical DMSO reminder and glass only cautions. For now will rub the CBD oil and make myself get back to mat work, building back up to BB&B.

LuciB Relieved your home didn’t get hit by the tornados, and only lost internet, not power. Iris’ yawning sparked some of my one, but mine are nowhere near as cute.
Stroll/chatting with Barb I realized how aerobically unfit I am. Couldn’t chat coming back upslope without stopping to catch my breath. Guess I’m more at risk (70 and respiratory issue) than I like to think.
Tonight's nightmare was being in the dentist's chair awaiting extraction of upper left pre-molar and being told it was going to really hurt. Asking for and gettig novocaine but dreading the twisting, grinding, tooth pulling. Awoke almost nauseous with fear. Must remember (thanks again Sharon) that I long ago vowed never to have another extraction while conscious. Oral surgeon with anesthetic only. (Yah you know there's a long story there.)

Morning, all,
I woke up to our stimulus check in our bank account as well--and was feeling oddly guilty until I remembered it isn't even half what was taken from my paychecks over the last year, much less what was taken from my husband's as well. Easy to forget that, since we never see it in our pockets, but we pay a chunk each year to the feds.
Sorry I fell off my perch yesterday and dragged a few people with me. Expressing the waves of anger isn't a useful reaction to anyone else, even if it is a relief valve for me.
Penny - count me as one in love with your husband - and I may well use that thought in a grant application.
Allie - don't give up on the unemployment, just keep applying. I know all this is disheartening, but at least you are no longer having to endure all those hours of stress each week working for that jerk.
All the babies are beautiful, and appreciated so much. Thank you for those little pops of sunshine as I scroll through the words. They're a balm to my soul.

LUCI ~ I can remember coloring my hair and cutting it at 5 in the morning. LOL The baby is such a doll! I can well understand how tired you must feel after watching over her every day as I watched both my grands until they were a year old.
MICHELE ~ Jessie is so lucky to have you as a mom...making her special cookies!
ALLIE ~ My son has applied for unemployment as his restaurant totally closed down. So far, he has not heard anything and when he calls the help line he only gets recordings. No one ever answers.

Allie - sorry to hear you've been denied, but keep fighting. Unemployment offices are a bit overwhelmed right now.
We also woke up to the stimulus money in our bank account. DH wants to use part of it to get a new lens for his camera. He's a bird watcher and has a nice camera but it can't get decent pictures from a distance, and most birds - especially eagles - don't exactly sit around waiting to be photographed. I think the rest is going into the emergency fund just in case something happens. With him still going to work every day, and the fact that he works at a retirement community, I worry about him catching "it". They have a lot of restrictions in place and so far no one is sick, but it's still always on my mind when he gets home.
