It is hard to believe 25 days have come and gone in April. Too much “groundhog day” goin’ on right now.
My motivation is slipping. 5 days a week workouts is all I seem to be able to do. I am doing more cardio than weights - which is backwards - but the weight room is in the basement and it makes me claustrophobic. The cardio room is the front of the house living room - 20 foot ceilings and 14 foot windows - so I love it and do all my cardio, stretching and yoga in there!2 -

Did another lifting workout at home last night. I could do this regularly if I set up a gym in the basement. Glad to be getting something accomplished.1

Hey kids, hope all is well. More cardio than lifting. It beats nothing. My coach is going to leave me some more weights to pick up so I can have some variety. Counting my blessings still and trying to not be a brat. Saw a few social media videos mimicking what the first day back at the gym will look like. Oh man, I was snorting from laughing so hard as I believe that is how it will truly look. Have a great day ahead kids.1

Hey everyone! So glad I stumbled onto this group! Hope this is a place where transparency is key and judgement is frowned upon. Sorry, I have been a part of some terrible "shaming" groups in the past.
I am 46, and have 2 boys (13 & 26). My oldest is married and I am expecting my first grandbaby in July. My husband and I couldn't be more excited.
I have a ton of food sensitives/allergies. I followed a strict Paleo Lifestyle while living in San Francisco Bay Area (which was the best fit for me), however when we moved to the NW Suburbs of Chicago, I fell of my plan and am paying the price. Looking to get back on track for overall wellness and weightloss. It is so much harder this time around!!!
I am a Finance Analyst Manager for non-profit and mange a team of specialists. Also, I am currently earning a BA in Finance (later entering a Masters Program) at SNHU. So, I do A LOT of sitting and being intentional about getting up and "moving" seems like my nemesis at the moment.
Well, that was a long intro! I feel like I needed to write all this for accountability. Looking forward to collaborating with this group! Have a great day!

Just turned 48. Trying to loose weight and get stronger but I think I hit a plateau 😔 I'm not even at the healthy weight that I'm supposed to be. I have bad knees and can't do certain moves. I've been exercising regularly for the last 6 weeks but I don't even know if I'm doing the right exercises. I've been a member for more than a year and lost around 30 pounds which is great but I want lose more and get leaner and stronger. I feel very discouraged ☹️2
