Good morning! Starting again. I want to get past maintaining the weight (which is more weight than I would like to maintain) to actually losing some weight. :) Have a wonderful week. :)

Just started MFP less than a month ago; been so amazingly helpful so far! Hopefully this will be the jumpstart that I need to lose the 40lbs that I desperately need off! 44 by the way, so this the group I need, as I'm noticing some age related issues creeping in😲

    Happy Friday all!

I had a carpenter come around today. He's going to build a climbing wall for me in my garden. The delay is getting the plywood - it should all come together in about a week or so.

    That sound amazing!!

Welcome, everyone. It's good to see people taking charge of their health and fitness. The support and encouragement here is the best part of MFP. Here's to reaching your goals in 2020!

Happy June!!! It's my birthday month. I've decided to challenge myself and workout and eat reasonably healthy until my birthday. That's only like two weeks away so it shouldn't be too difficult. Keep safe out there

Welcome new folk! LisaMarie - I used to live in Liverpool. It was a while ago, in the 1990s. It is one of my favourite cities - I enjoyed it a lot.

Hi - My name is Liane and I am nearly 54 years old - just rejoined after a long absence of about 4 years. Lived in Gloucestershire all my life but moved to live in Spain in October of last year. Have tried almost every diet known to man but it all comes down to me and food at the end of the day! My knee has been bad for the last 10 years and I now need a replacement but surgery is only possible if I lose at least 86lbs.......... Where there is a will -- there has to be a way! Any suggestions on exercise without using the knee, how to keep on the straight and narrow etc gratefully recieved x

Hi, Liane! I would look around the MFP forums and find some groups of like-minded people - people who have similar weight loss goals, etc. I find the online support valuable to keep me focused.

Logging food is key for me, too - I have been able to maintain a 45+ pound loss for two years because I log (almost) everything I eat. I know I would regain the weight if I stopped logging food for more than a few days.
