@ladycopnh1 : I stepped too hard on a brake pedal, trying to avoid someone doing something unexpectedly stupid.
If you want to know exactly, you can google Lisfranc's dislocation. I dislocated II-V and sprained the heck out of I.

wow, I cringe every time I think about it. I hope it's healing well after your operations. I know what it feels like to be in pain every time you put your foot to the ground. I've had this STUPID fasciitis in my left foot for a year and a half now. If I go up to camp to work for the day ( 10hrs ) I'm literally bed ridden when I get home. My husband, bless his heart bought me an all terrain knee scooter so I can still get around the house and outside when I'm having a bad day. I was shocked that he got it in my favorite color, cobalt blue.

It healed well, but they were right that it would be arthritic in my forties, and they were also right that the best thing I can do for pain control on an ongoing basis is to lose weight.

I did a lot of up-and-down the stairs today, and it did cross my mind that I was very glad that I didn't have the thirty-five pounds I'd lost on me while doing it! We had to take a large framed mirror off the wall that my ultra-cautious boyfriend had mounted, making sure that it was well-secured into the studs, and then get the thing wrapped in a blanket and securely wrapped with pallet wrap, before putting it in a box.

Sounds like one priceless mirror. Have you heard of that new fancy exercise mirror ?

@ladycopnh: Well, we hang it on the wall across from the foot of the bed. (wink wink nudge) Brightens up the room and reflects a lot of light. Mirrors are great to bring light into a room.

I've seen ads for the mirror. What with the arthritis and the fibromyalgia, I've never much been into someone else telling me what sort of exercise I "should" do and how much of it I should do. I'm working pretty hard in spurts to blanket and wrap furniture, and I'm also taking two hour naps every afternoon like a toddler.

Don't know if my scale is malfunctioning or what. It suddenly dropped me to 254.8 on Thursday and stayed there through Sunday. Today it dropped another 1.8 pounds. I picked up my cat and got back on to make sure it would register more weight and it did. I'm eating right and hitting proper caloric intake. Guess my body was also tired of the weight? I don't know... Just going to say I won't be surprised if it pops back up a bit (though maybe a bit disappointed).

They are giving me a new fridge for my apartment today! It stopped working for the second time this month sometime this weekend. I'm so excited! Also, having to remove my "pantry" so they can access the fridge gives me a great opportunity to go through it, reorganize it, and cull the junk.

@gcreardon: Moving is giving us a chance to do that. I don't have a lot of that in my clothing, though, because I already purged 90% of it because I was losing weight and it didn't fit.

Also, I now know my weight loss pattern, and it's a downward staircase. Sudden loss of 3-5 pounds over 2-3 days, then two to three weeks at a lower weight, then down again, plateau again. So I can be pretty patient through a plateau.

Whew. It's been a very busy work week for me, and I think it will continue that way. I haven't really taken the time to plan meals well or cook much, so I've been getting take-out more than usual. Plus I celebrated my 49th birthday on Monday which involved a good bit of sugar and fat. The scale actually read 193 over the weekend, but today was back to 195.5. I'm not sure that I will be getting back to my very best healthy behaviors right away, but I am giving myself a break during this busy work time. I'll do the best I can without losing my mind. :)

@VeggieMeg71 , I say celebrations like a birthday definitely warrant some extra, too. Happy belated birthday day! You are still amazing and seeing how far you have come since January inspires me!

I also had something to celebrate this week (chosen to be the sole student liaison to an ABA committee) and definitely celebrated with some bad eating. But we are human and celebrations involve so many of the really good tasting, bad for you foods. lol

@gcreardon , thanks and congratulations to you on your liaison position! I'm giving myself a "grace period" for my whole birthday week and then recommitting to healthier eating on Monday! I've at least managed to keep up with some kind of workout schedule! I rediscovered Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home videos, so that change of pace has renewed my motivation for working out a bit. :)

I am going to stop questioning my body and let it say it lost whatever it wants. :D Guess it was super tired of the extra weight and is kicking it to the curb.

This past week was a rollercoaster of emotions. In addition to the good news (and my mom's pet sitting client, our U.S. House Rep, saying she would speak to me anytime about gun reform and inviting me to her Washington office), I found out my ankle ligaments are as lax as before. I'm hyper flexible, so he wasn't surprised. Guess I'll just have ankle issues forever! One more reason to lose the weight!

We put it on one pound at a time, we can take it off one pound at a time! Slow and steady wins the race, and I bet by now you're seeing some changes!

I'm back now from my dad's and he has a new front plants on his two new gardens. Ripped it all out and started new and added to the other side a new bed and half. What a job! 7 hours later and it was done. So I kinda ate what I wanted on the weekend needed a break. Now back to the grind.

Hello all, I tried joining you all earlier this year, but quarantine hit and it didn't help my weight or mental state. I have really been struggling. Things are slowly getting back to normal and I am mentally doing better, but now I have even more weight to lose. Yesterday was day 1 (again) and it went ok. I need accountability and support though. I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

    SW (6/15/20): 223.5
    GW: under 200
    UGW: 160

TOM starts tomorrow. Going to try to get through without falling off the bandwagon.
